Abstract

Perception is a process that involves the inclusion of a message or information to the human brain. Through continuous human perception meneurs make contact with the environment. This relationship is done through the senses, the senses of sight, the listener, touch, taste and smell. The method used in this research is Qualitative. To obtain the data used participatory observation methods passive (passive participation), interview (in dept interview), study the documentation. To test the objectivity and validity of the data used source triangulation techniques and triangulation techniques. Triangulation means to get data from different sources with the same technique, while triangulation technique means researchers used data collection techniques vary to obtain data from the same data source. Data analysis was performed using analytical models of interaction (interactive analysis models) are components of data reduction and data presentation is done in conjunction with the data collection process. After the data is collected, the three components of the analysis (data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions) interact. The results showed that 1). Abstract

Problems oil reserves are dwindling caused the crisis, the effects of the crisis has been felt in the last few years. It encourages researchers to participate in developing renewable fuels. This study, try blend Biosolar Pertamina with jatropha biodiesel. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the composition of jatropha into Pertamina Biosolar to volumetric efficiency of direct injection diesel engine 4- stroke, 4-cylinder with a cylinder volume is 2.8 liters. The composition of the fuel for the experiment is D100 ( Biosolar Pertamina 100% ) ; D90J10 ( Biosolar 90% Jatropha 10%) ; D80J20 ( Biosolar Pertamina 80% Jatropha 20%) dan D70J30 ( Biosolar 70% Jatropha 30% ). The method used is experiment. Results of the study are (1) Effect increase the percentage of biodiesel jatropha to engine diesel power is the power at all loads to be decreased. Values drop in brake power at each of the largest load variation occurs in the mixture D70J30 with a value decline of 0.75%, 5.28%, 10.37% and 9.85% of the power with fuel D100. (2) Effects of jatropha biodiesel percentage increase also resulted in torque at all loads going down. the lowest decline in every variation is incurred on fuel D70J30 brake power is calculated from the value D100, with a value decline of 0.74%, 5.02%, 9.40%, and 8.96%. (3) Effect throughout the fuel mixture of the volumetric efficiency of diesel engines is causing decreased volumetric efficiency, the biggest decline was 6.33%, 6.61%, 6.33%, and 6.19% in the fuel D80J20 volumetric efficiency is calculated from the value D100. Suggested solutions to overcome the problems of a decrease in volumetric efficiency is by placing the intake valve settings, so that when air intake into the cylinders could be longer and with the modification that with the addition of a supercharger or turbocharger, more preferably also added intercooler.

Abstract

The imbalance between the number of vehicles parking and parking off-street parking generation resulted automatically take advantage of the road for parking. From the analysis of the capacity of roads in Mega Town Square on segment Jl. Yos Sudarso, it is known that the level of service is still in accordance with Decree No. KM 14 of 2006, AASHTO, 1973 and Morlok, 1990. On Saturday morning the street value of the service is stable at current low traffic density with a rather high speed but can be controlled by the driver based on the speed limit maximum/minimum and the physical condition of the road. On Saturday afternoon, the traffic density was at a pace that can be controlled by the driver with the value of the service road approaching unstable flow speed of 25 Km/hour. On Saturday night, the traffic density is high enough to speed decreases, and can not be controlled by the driver currents sehinnga restrained. Total vehicle parking per hour is 60 veh/hour. This value is adjusted to supply vehicles going out into the market as much as 100 veh/h. So that parking availability is still sufficient to accommodate the vehicles in the Mega Town Square.

Abstract

Peat swamp forests serve as an abundant water catchment area in rainy season and then releases it gradually in dry season. The main function of peat swamp forests are as the hydrology regulator in an ecosystem, and the function will be disrupted when the peat swamp forests have excessive drainage condition. Recently, the peat swamp forests of Central Kalimantan are badly damaged by prolonged exploration without any responsibility to preserve it. One of the damage causes of the peat swamp forests in Central Kalimantan are many canals made when illegal loggers get their harvested wood out to the estuary of nearest watershed. Therefore, it forms canals that drain water with no control. The effect is peat swamp forests will be very dry and trigger devastating fire that cannot be extinguished in a short time. One of the efforts to deal with the problem is by recovering the hydrology condition of peat swamp forests ecosystem through duct insulation using simple dam locally called “tabat”. The making of tabat is easily designed in order that the implementation is not very hard, and the material selection such as forest wood dominate the construction because the wood will be cracked gradually without disturbing the ecosystem process and restoration principle in peat swamp forests. The modeling result by a computer software of hydraulics shows the increase of water level in canals at 15 to 30 cm and the width of inundation in tabat when the designed flood of two-year return period was modeled to 280.67 km2 and for the period of five years was 306.04 km2 from the target of hydrology restoration of 250 km2.
