Abstract

This study examines the role of computational thinking (CT) ability as a foundational skill for solving contextual mathematical problems among informatics students. Contextual mathematical problems require students to translate real-world situations into mathematical representations, apply appropriate strategies, and interpret solutions meaningfully. Such processes align closely with core components of computational thinking, including decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking. This study employed a quantitative correlational design involving undergraduate informatics students. Data were collected using a computational thinking test and a contextual mathematical problem-solving assessment. Statistical analysis was conducted using correlation and regression techniques to determine the contribution of CT ability to students’ problem-solving performance. The findings indicate that computational thinking ability has a significant and positive effect on students’ ability to solve contextual mathematical problems. These results suggest that strengthening computational thinking skills is essential for enhancing mathematical problem-solving competence, particularly in informatics education. The study provides empirical support for integrating computational thinking explicitly into mathematics-related courses for informatics students.

Abstract

This study examines financial accountability grounded in sharia values from an integrative perspective of accounting and English literacy within the framework of Islamic economics. Financial accountability in Islamic institutions is not merely a technical and administrative obligation, but also a moral and spiritual responsibility rooted in sharia principles such as amanah (trust), ‘adl (justice), and maslahah (public interest). This research employs a qualitative normative approach through library research, analyzing classical and contemporary Islamic economic law sources, accounting literature, and studies on financial literacy and English language use in economic and accounting contexts. The analysis focuses on conceptual foundations, accountability mechanisms, and the role of English literacy in supporting transparent and globally oriented financial communication in Islamic economic practices. The findings indicate that sharia-based financial accountability is constructed through the integration of three interrelated dimensions: accounting accountability, legal–ethical accountability, and communicative accountability supported by English literacy. English literacy plays a strategic role in enhancing transparency, accuracy, and international accessibility of financial reporting in Islamic institutions. This study contributes theoretically by offering an integrative conceptual framework for financial accountability in Islamic economics and practically by providing insights for strengthening governance, transparency, and global engagement of sharia-based organizations.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Indonesia's latest crypto asset tax regulations, specifically the significant shift outlined in PMK 50/2025 and PMK 108/2025, on the financial performance and compliance disclosure of publicly listed crypto companies, with a specific case study on PT Indokripto Koin Semesta Tbk. Two primary policies are examined: PMK 50/2025, which establishes a 0% Value Added Tax (VAT) on crypto asset transfers and a final income tax of 0.21% on transaction value, and PMK 108/2025, which mandates automatic reporting based on the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF). The methodology integrates an event study and content analysis of interim financial reports for the first semester of 2025, alongside projections for the period after August 2025. Findings suggest that the removal of VAT has the potential to boost transaction volume, while the application of a final tax based on gross turnover may compress net margins. Furthermore, the adoption of CRS/CARF is projected to elevate information technology compliance costs and enhance the quality of disclosures within financial statements. These outcomes offer important implications for regulators, issuing companies, and investors navigating regulatory changes within the digital asset industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the digital service of the Sub-district Public Report Service Action (ALLAMAK) at the Alam Barajo Sub-district Office, Jambi City. The study used qualitative methods with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The analysis refers to William N. Dunn's Public Policy Evaluation theory which emphasizes effectiveness, efficiency, responsiveness, accuracy, and relevance of impact as indicators of public policy performance (Dunn, 2018). The results show that the ALLAMAK service has met public service standards according to Permenpan-RB Number 14 of 2017, particularly in the aspects of transparency, accountability, and ease of service access (Government of Indonesia, 2017). Although generally considered effective, obstacles were still found in ease of use, speed of response, and a decrease in public satisfaction levels. The main driving factors for service effectiveness come from the implementation of the Electronic-Based Government System policy and the increasing public demand for digital public services (OECD, 2020), while the main obstacles include limited technological literacy and internet access (UNDP, 2019). Therefore, improving facilities, infrastructure, and community readiness is still needed to optimize ALLAMAK services.

Abstract

PT Laut Bontang Bersinar (LBB) is a regional company responsible for managing Loktuan Port in Bontang, East Kalimantan. In recent years, the company has faced complex and multidimensional operational challenges, covering financial, human resource, infrastructure, and governance aspects. The main problems include fixed contribution arrears to the Bontang City Government of IDR 450 million, delays in employee salary and holiday allowance (THR) payments, and suboptimal maintenance of port facilities such as spotlight lamps and CCTV systems. Amid these challenges, the company gained trust through a two-year port management contract extension from the Class II Bontang Port Authority and Harbormaster Office (KSOP), which also became a critical momentum for operational transformation. This study aims to analyze the operational management strategies implemented by PT LBB in efforts to recover company performance, especially after leadership changes and the signing of a new contract, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the 100-day recovery plan launched by the new board of directors. The research method used is a qualitative case study approach with secondary data analysis techniques derived from trusted media coverage from May 2024 to March 2025, official company documents, and previous community service reports involving PT LBB. The findings reveal that PT LBB implemented a recovery strategy based on comprehensive internal audit, operational cost efficiency of up to 10%, gradual port infrastructure improvements, and restructuring of the financial reporting system. As highlighted by Sudirman et al. (2023) regarding the importance of discipline in reporting and contribution payments, this study also found that non-compliance in fiscal obligations has worsened the company's financial crisis. The operational recommendations proposed include implementing Internet of Things (IoT)-based information technology for real-time monitoring of port facilities, strengthening collaboration with all stakeholders, and preparing a sustainable master plan for the port (RIP) aligned with regional spatial planning. This study is expected to provide academic and practical contributions in the form of an operational recovery model for regional port companies experiencing similar crises.

Abstract

Changes in the world of work driven by digitalization, hybrid work, the gig economy, and organizational restructuring have made careers increasingly non-linear and require individuals to take a more active role in managing their career trajectories. This narrative review synthesizes international literature from reputable journals to explain how Protean Career Orientation (PCO)-a self-directed and values-driven career orientation-contributes to career sustainability through enhanced career self-efficacy. Drawing on sustainable career models that emphasize health, happiness, and productivity, as well as the social cognitive career theory framework, the article proposes that Protean Career Orientation strengthens individuals' confidence in making career decisions, acquiring new skills, and navigating change. Career self-efficacy, in turn, promotes adaptive behaviors such as career self-management, lifelong learning or upskilling, networking and personal branding, and job crafting, which ultimately enhance employability, subjective career success, and well-being as indicators of career sustainability. This review also highlights the importance of context (career shocks, work flexibility) and organizational support (learning culture, coaching, access to training) as triggers and amplifiers of these processes. Finally, the article presents a conceptual model and narrative propositions that can serve as a basis for empirical research and as practical guidance for human resource development in the new world of work.
