Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of a push-button based Tangible User Interface (TUI) as a physical interaction medium to control virtual objects in the Unity environment . The system is designed by integrating physical input devices in the form of push buttons connected to a microcontroller with a Unity application via serial communication. This study uses a system design and implementation method that includes the stages of requirements analysis, system architecture design, hardware and software implementation, and functional testing. User input is processed by the system to produce a visual response in the form of movement of virtual objects to the left or right with a toggle mechanism. The test results show that the system is able to respond to physical input in real-time with stable and consistent object movement according to user commands. This TUI implementation provides a more concrete interaction experience compared to conventional mouse-or keyboard-based interfaces, and has the potential to be developed as a basis for interactive media, control simulations, and multimedia applications based on physical-digital interaction.

Abstract

Indonesia in the contemporary demographic landscape is increasingly dominated by the norm of small nuclear families, while large families with more than five children are often seen as marginalized and burdened with social stigma. The narrative of state policies through Family Planning programs and modern economic discourse places the extended family as an "illegal" entity, associated with economic burdens, domestic turmoil, and parental attention deficits. This article dismantles these assumptions through a qualitative case study of a family of five children in a semi-urban environment. This study delves into the often over looked micro-sociological dynamics in macrostatistics, using in-depth interviews and participatory observations. The thematic analysis identified three main pillars of extended family resilience: (1) a stratified yet adaptive domestic management system, with a gender- and age-based division of labor for efficiency; (2) internalization of the value of responsibility through disciplinary repetition and collective supervision; and (3) the construction of religious beliefs "many children have plenty of sustenance" which functions as psychological capital and transcendent coping strategies in the face of economic uncertainty and social pressure. These findings challenge deficit narratives about the extended family and show how Islamic spirituality and traditional management combine to create solid subjective well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Inventory Management Practices, Inventory Efficiency (Inventory Leanness), and Supply Chain Information on the Business Performance of MSMEs in Indonesia. This study employs a quantitative approach using explanatory research design. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 73 MSME owners across different regions in Indonesia using purposive sampling. The research instrument was developed based on established indicators for each variable and measured using a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS, including validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination (R²), F-test, and t-test to examine both simultaneous and partial effects among variables. The results indicate that Inventory Management Practices, Inventory Efficiency, and Supply Chain Information simultaneously have a significant effect on MSME Business Performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.612 suggests that 61.2% of the variation in business performance can be explained by the three independent variables. However, partial testing reveals that Inventory Management Practices do not have a statistically significant effect on Business Performance (p = 0.076), despite showing a positive relationship. In contrast, Inventory Efficiency (p = 0.009) and Supply Chain Information (p = 0.001) have a significant and positive effect on Business Performance. These findings suggest that the ability of MSMEs to maintain lean and efficient inventory levels, along with fast, clear, and transparent supply chain information flow, contributes more substantially to business performance improvement than inventory management practices when implemented independently.

Abstract

Biodiversity constitutes a fundamental pillar of sustainable development by providing ecological, social, and economic benefits. National parks play a crucial role in conserving biodiversity while simultaneously delivering ecosystem services that support human well-being. However, many of these services are non-market in nature and are often undervalued in policy-making processes. This study aims to estimate the economic value of biodiversity services in Tanjung Puting National Park using the Willingness to Pay (WTP) approach and to analyze socio-demographic factors influencing visitors’ willingness to contribute to conservation efforts. Data were collected through a structured survey administered to visitors and local communities. The results indicate that respondents demonstrate a positive willingness to pay for biodiversity conservation, with income, education level, and environmental perception significantly influencing WTP values. These findings provide empirical evidence to support conservation financing strategies and sustainable management policies for national parks.

Abstract

Digital transformation requires Islamic boarding schools to innovate in order to meet the learning needs of millennial students who are digital natives. This study aims to formulate a comprehensive strategy for building an immersive language learning environment for millennial students through the integration of digital resource management and gamification on the metaverse platform. The research method used is library research with a qualitative approach. Data were collected from secondary sources such as books, scientific journal articles, and research reports, then analyzed using qualitative content analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that effective strategies are built on four main pillars. First, the reconstruction of the learning ecosystem that transforms Islamic boarding schools into unlimited classrooms in the metaverse, shifting the role of educators to facilitators and curators of digital content. Second, the development of interactive and contextual digital content architecture, where language material is designed as 3D objects that can be manipulated in scenario-based simulation environments. Third, the integration of gamification mechanisms consisting of reward systems, progression mapping, and immersive storytelling to increase intrinsic motivation and memory retention. Fourth, the creation of immersiveness through avatars and socio-cultural simulations that build authentic and safe language practice communities. The synthesis of these four pillars produces a strategic framework that emphasizes that successful implementation depends on the digital leadership of Islamic boarding schools, santri-centered design, and alignment with Islamic boarding school values.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the governance of Talaka Village through the application of good governance principles by increasing legal awareness and community participation. The problem faced is the incompatibility between the ideal norm of public participation as stipulated in laws and regulations and the reality in the field which is still formalistic and has minimal community involvement. To overcome these problems, the method used in this service is qualitative legal research with a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach. The results of the service show that the practice of community participation in village governance is still administrative and symbolic, influenced by limited access to public information and weak communication mechanisms between apparatus and residents. Through PRA-based legal socialization, there is an increase in participant involvement in discussions, the growth of community legal awareness, and the opening of a more equal dialogue space between village officials and the community. Thus, this service contributes to strengthening the capacity of the apparatus and encouraging the creation of more participatory, transparent, and sustainable governance at the local level.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental human need that plays a vital role in shaping the quality of individuals and the civilization of a nation. In the study of philosophy and educational science, discussions on the nature of education and its objectives occupy a central position because they serve as the conceptual basis for the implementation of education. The nature of education relates to the meaning, essence, and basic nature of education, while the objectives of education relate to the direction, results, and achievements to be achieved through the educational process. This article aims to examine in depth and compare the concepts of the nature of education and its objectives based on the views of experts, schools of educational philosophy, and Indonesian national education policy. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical and comparative approach. The results of the study indicate that the nature of education and its objectives are two interrelated and inseparable concepts. A comprehensive understanding of the nature of education is the main foundation in formulating educational objectives that are humanistic, contextual, and oriented towards the development of the whole person .
