Abstract

This research aims to explain how the Cattle/Buffalo Livestock Business Insurance Program (AUTS/K) is implemented in Tanah Datar Regency. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with technical data analysis in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions by selecting informants using purposive sampling techniques. The results of the research show that the implementation of the Cattle/Buffalo Livestock Business Insurance Program (AUTS/K) in Tanah Datar Regency has been implemented where the implementation of this program has provided benefits in the form of financial protection for farmers who experience losses due to death or loss of livestock. However, its implementation still requires further efforts to reach more breeders evenly. The AUTS/K program is a collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Tanah Datar Regency Government where 80% of the premium budget is given by the central government to Insurance Companies and 20% is covered by the Tanah Datar Regency APBD starting in 2022. Therefore, breeders who take part in the program no longer pay premiums to insurance companies, here the insurance company appointed is PT. Indonesian Insurance Services (Jasindo) which is also responsible for implementing the AUTS/K program. Furthermore, the implementation of this program also faces several significant challenges, especially in social and cultural aspects, such as the negative perception of breeders regarding the installation of ear tags which are considered to reduce the selling value of cattle. In addition, difficult geographical conditions and long distances between cages result in inefficiencies in supervision and monitoring

Abstract

Discourse is an indispensable topic in social theory, with work spanning fields such as sociology, anthropology, continental philosophy, and discourse analysis. This study aims to describe explicitly and comprehensively the discourse of poverty and development. This objective is achieved by presenting the background of the empirical conditions of the focus of the research study through the existing discourse ideas by looking at the phenomena of Development and Poverty in Dumai City. This research focuses on the development of infrastructure development and poverty alleviation. Development development often ignores poverty alleviation. Data obtained from the Dumai City Central Statistics Agency in 2023 showed 10.15 thousand people, an increase from the previous year in 2022 of 10 thousand people. Seeing this phenomenon, the author is interested in examining the symptoms that emerge to find a coherent model between development progress and poverty alleviation. The method and type in this study are Qualitative Descriptive. The informant drawing technique uses the Proposive Sampling technique and the data collection technique in this study is interviews, observations, literature studies and documentation. Abstract

  This study aims to analyze the synergy and coordination dynamics among stakeholders in the effort to protect Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in Karawang Regency. Employing a post-positivist paradigm and a qualitative method with a case study design, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal the absence of clear agreements and commitments among stakeholders, although there is adequate competence and awareness regarding the protection of migrant workers. The continuity of coordination depends on the presence or absence of complaints from PMI and is not bound by a predetermined schedule. The study concludes that strengthening intensive and sustainable coordination is necessary to enhance the protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the structure of actor networks in the development of tourism destinations in Banjarsari Village, focusing on how interactions between actors influence tourism management strategies. To facilitate the analysis of these networks in enhancing tourism potential, the research adopts a case study design with qualitative methods. Through this approach, the study examines the relationships formed between actors in the tourism development process in depth. The research applies Actor Network Theory (ANT), introduced by Bruno Latour and John Law emphasizing the network dimension. This framework is expected to provide deeper insights into the factors that either support or hinder tourism management based on actor networks. The networks that emerge among actors in developing Banjarsari Village’s tourism potential exhibit three key characteristics: communal value based networks, direct communication networks, and tourism synergy networks. The communal value-based network is shaped by strong local values of mutual cooperation and solidarity, acting as a social adhesive despite the absence of formal structures. The direct communication network emerges due to the fac to face interactions among actors, facilitated through deliberations and direct visits. Finally, the tourism synergy network reflects the collaborative nature of various tourism attractions within Banjarsari Village, where destinations complement rather than compete with each other.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Jempol Sedekap Child Identity Card (KIA) Program in Prambon District, Sidoarjo Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, including administrative service officers and field implementers of the outreach program. The analysis applied Duncan’s effectiveness theory, which includes goal achievement, integration, and adaptation. The findings show that goal achievement remains suboptimal due to limited implementation frequency and uneven coverage. Adaptation efforts were evident through public consultation forums, but were hindered by a lack of training and limited human resources. Integration with educational institutions such as K3S and IGTKI has been established, but lacks adequate coordination in documentation. The study concludes that the program’s effectiveness needs improvement through better planning, training, and cross-sectoral coordination.

Abstract

Health services are a form of public service which is an activity or series of activities in order to fulfill service needs in accordance with statutory regulations for every citizen provided by public service providers established based on law for public service activities. The aim of conducting research at Babelan 1 Community Health Center is to determine the standard of health services available at Babelan 1 Community Health Center, so that services to the community can run optimally and the level of public health can increase. In this research, the researcher used a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach and used data collection techniques through interviews and documentation carried out at the Babelan Community Health Center 1. The results of the research showed that the quality of public services greatly influences community satisfaction, the researcher emphasized aspects: tangible, empathy, reliability, responsiveness and assurance to analyze public satisfaction with public services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Depok City Government, specifically the Branch Office of the West Java Provincial Education Office II, in addressing the limitations of public high schools (SMA) in the city. The background of the issue raised is the imbalance between the number of students wishing to continue to SMA and the limited capacity of public schools, resulting in thousands of students being unable to be admitted to public SMA. This research uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that the government plays a role as a facilitator by providing adequate educational facilities, as a regulator by implementing zoning systems and affirmative action routes, and as a catalyst by encouraging the development of new schools and the implementation of hybrid learning methods. However, significant challenges remain related to the shortage of public schools, which cannot be fully addressed by only providing grants or scholarships. This study concludes that the addition of public high schools in Depok City and improvements in the zoning system are crucial to addressing the educational challenges.

Abstract

The implementation of governance and politics involves several essential components, including supervision, development empowerment, and public services. In this context, public service deliveryparticularly those related to matters of public interest, such as administrative management and correspondence deserves special attention. This study aims to analyze the application of big data in correspondence services at the Telukjambe Village Office. Using a qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation, the study found that the use of information technology has not yet been fully optimized, with many procedures still carried out manually. This condition affects the efficiency and effectiveness of services and highlights the importance of utilizing existing and acquired data at the Telukjambe Village Office to ensure proper adherence to regulations.The findings reveal that the government apparatus at the Telukjambe Village Office has not yet achieved optimal performance in terms of service mechanisms, service efficiency, service accuracy, and staff competence in implementing technology. Several processes remain conventional, limiting the potential benefits of technological adoption. The lack of technology utilization results in slow recording and archiving processes, which are also vulnerable to data loss.Therefore, the development of a digital-based information system is urgently needed to enhance the quality of administrative services at the Telukjambe Village Office, making them more responsive, efficient, and transparent.

Abstract

Tourism serves as an important economic driver that provides great benefits to the country and society. Indonesian Tourism Law No. 9 of 2009 aims to increase economic growth and preserve nature and culture. This study uses a qualitative method to explore more deeply the role of the Tourism Office in Industrial Tourism in Bekasi Regency. Using one of the indicators according to Pitana and Gayatri (2005, 95 in Deki, 2019), namely the role of the Tourism Office as a motivator. As a result, as a strategic industrial center in Bekasi Regency, which houses more than 7,000 factories, it presents opportunities for industrial tourism to boost the local economy. The appeal of industrial tourism includes the unique and educational experiences it offers, with factory visits guided by professionals. Since 2010, the Bekasi Regency Tourism Office has faced challenges in promoting industrial tourism effectively, thus requiring continuous evaluation and improvement of promotional strategies. Although lacking in natural tourist attractions, the potential for industrial tourism that stands out in Bekasi Regency deserves attention. The government must strengthen its motivational role by utilizing social media and outreach programs to reach a wider audience, thereby increasing tourist interest and regional income.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the socio-economic impact of the National Strategic Project PLTGU Jawa-1 Power on the living space of the coastal community of Cilamaya Wetan in Karawang Regency, specifically whether PLTGU brings positive or negative impacts on socio-economic conditions. The method used in this study is a case study method. Data collection techniques include field observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is time-series analysis. The research results show that the development of the Jawa-1 Power Gas-Fired Power Plant creates dualistic economic impacts. On one hand, this project increases economic activity during the construction phase by absorbing local labor and growing the informal sector. On the other hand, vulnerable groups such as tenant farmers and traditional fishermen experience a decline in income due to land conversion and degradation of coastal ecosystems. Environmental impacts include changes in water quality due to waste and a decrease in groundwater quality due to seawater intrusion. The construction process is also assessed to involve less community participation, leading to social conflicts. The coastal community of Cilamaya Wetan, which was previously marginalized economically and geographically, is now also marginalized socially due to the development.
