Abstract

Human resource management in the hospitality industry requires an objective and efficient employee performance evaluation. This study aims to design and implement a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) for evaluating the performance of Madani Hotel employees using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method. Employee performance data (10 samples) were collected through observation and supervisor assessments based on nine criteria: Accuracy of Doing Job, Job Knowledge, Potential to Learn to Other Section, Initiative/Motivation, Hard Working, Able to Communicate with Others, Discipline, Productivity/Efficiency, and Responsibility. The weights of the criteria were determined based on their relevance to the job and were then normalized. The WASPAS calculation process was carried out in the CodeIgniter 4 backend, producing a Q score for each employee. The results showed a high correlation (Spearman’s rho = 0.88) between the system ranking and manual ranking, with A.P. ranked highest and E.W. ranked lowest. The implementation of this DSS reduces subjectivity and accelerates the performance evaluation process. The developed system also provides an automated reporting module and a responsive interface based on Bootstrap SAdmin2.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out as a form of support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), especially Warung Nenek Kasiani, in facing the challenges of business promotion in the digital era. One of the problems faced by traditional MSMEs is the minimal use of attractive and effective promotional media. Through this activity, the Independent Community Service (PMKM) team conducted outreach and provided assistance in installing a digital signage in the form of LED-based running text at the stall. This simple innovation aims to increase the visual appeal of the business, strengthen the stall's identity, and help attract a wider consumer interest. The results of this activity show an increase in public attention to the stall and an increased awareness of MSMEs in utilizing digital technology practically. This activity is expected to become a model of sustainable service and can be replicated by other MSMEs in various regions. Keywords: MSMEs, digital signage, running text, promotion, community service, traditional stalls

Abstract

Efficient data transmission is a critical aspect of modern web applications, particularly in scenarios involving large tabular datasets rendered through server-side DataTables. This study proposes an adaptive categorical dictionary approach to reduce the payload size transmitted between the server and client. The strategy leverages the high frequency of categorical values within datasets by encoding them into shorter symbolic representations stored in a dynamically generated dictionary. The dictionary is constructed on the server during the initial request and maintained throughout the session, while the client retains a synchronized copy in memory. The research utilizes a publicly available college student dataset containing 1,545 records, focusing on columns with repetitive categorical values such as major, gender, and enrollment status. Experimental simulations were conducted under varying DataTables page lengths (10, 25, 50, and 100) to evaluate the impact of dictionary encoding on request and response payload sizes. Results demonstrate consistent payload reductions across all configurations, with significant improvements observed in larger page lengths—exceeding 12% in some cases. These findings confirm the effectiveness of the adaptive dictionary in minimizing response payloads, thereby improving communication efficiency in AJAX-based data-driven applications. The approach maintains compatibility with native PHP and JavaScript implementations and introduces minimal overhead, making it suitable for integration into existing server-side processing architectures.

Abstract

Historical images, such as old documentary photographs, ancient maps, manuscripts, or printed archives, are an important part of cultural and scientific heritage that provide a visual record of the past. Many available historical images have poor image quality because camera technology at that time was still in its infancy. This study examines the optimization of the combination of CLAHE (Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization) and Unsharp Masking to improve the quality of historical images that have poor contrast, noise, and faded details. The approach includes preprocessing (greyscale image), CLAHE parameter optimization (clip limit) with a range of 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04, 0.05, and the Unsharp Mask method with a radius parameter of 1 and an amount parameter of 0.8. The clip limit parameter will be found that has better performance. To evaluate performance, the objective metrics Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) are used. Based on the criteria of the smallest MSE and the highest PSNR, the results showed that a clip limit of 0.01 was the most optimal parameter. This configuration proved effective in increasing contrast, sharpening detail, and minimizing noise, thus improving the quality of historical image restoration.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development and implementation of an innovative learning model for geometric transformations by integrating technology through the use of the Desmos application as an interactive instructional tool. Geometric transformation is a fundamental concept in mathematics but is often regarded as abstract and challenging for students to grasp. This research aims to improve students’ conceptual understanding and motivation by providing a dynamic and visual learning environment using Desmos, a user-friendly digital graphing platform. The study employs a development research methodology consisting of stages such as design, implementation, and evaluation of the learning media. Data collected through observations and student feedback demonstrate that incorporating Desmos in the learning process significantly enhances student engagement, simplifies the visualization of complex geometric concepts, and creates a more enjoyable and effective learning experience. The findings suggest that technology-based innovations like this can serve as effective alternatives to traditional teaching methods in mathematics education, particularly for teaching geometric transformation material.

Abstract

Abstract

Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) is a QR code standard adopted in Indonesia as an electronic payment method. QRIS allows users to make payment transactions easily using mobile phones. Although QRIS provides many benefits regarding ease and efficiency of transactions, there are some security risks from payment methods using QR codes. A lack of public awareness regarding the safety of using QRIS can open the risk of misuse by irresponsible parties. This study aims to measure the level of security awareness in using QRIS Merchants in the DKI Jakarta areaThe research data was collected using questionnaires based on the Kruger and Kearney models involving 3 (three) dimensions, namely knowledge, attitudes, and behavior, as well as 6 (six) focus areas. The number of samples obtained was 110 respondents. The results showed that the safety awareness of QRIS use in the DKI Jakarta area was 91, in the average value category. With an average score of 91, most respondents realize the importance of paying attention to security aspects in transacting using QRIS.
