The suburban area is known as the peri-urban area which is a zone in which there is a mixture of rural and urban land structures. The development of peri-urban areas in Indonesia has spread to almost all cities, which are generally large cities. Urban areas that are not able to balance the needs for residential or commercial space will always take up space in the suburban areas, this is also the case in the Peri Urban Ulee Lheue area of Banda Aceh City. The purpose of this study is to identify how the typology of using land in peri urban areas in Ulee Lheue is to know what typology of land use is happening and how a government program has transformed Ulee Lheue as a strategic location for developing tourism areas and public spaces. The method used in this research is direct field observation method or survey and literature study both theory and supporting documents in the research which then performs data analysis by interpreting the data obtained on the basis of the prevailing theory and policies. The results of this study identify that the typology of land use in peri urban areas in Ulee Lheue is dominated by commercial areas and there are unplanned or informal settlements, besides this research is expected to be able to provide knowledge about the typology of land use in a peri urban area.

ABSTRACT As one of the oldest cities in Indonesia, Palembang has a history related to the Musi river. The Musi River divides the city of Palembang into Ilir and Ulu. This river was known as a trade route in ancient times, so that many Chinese and Arab immigrants settled on the riverbank. In the Ulu, there are several village areas that are mostly inhabited by Arab residents, one of which is Assegaf Village. This study will specifically discuss the Assegaf village, especially its famous icon, the Alwi Assegaf ice factory. This factory is an integral part of the life chain of the Musi river. Many traditional fishermen rely on the ice factory and it is clear that the Alwi Assegaf ice factory has an impact and influence on residents. The purpose of this research is to explore further history, cultural ideas and actors who play a role in the Alwi Assegaf ice factory. It also aims to reveal the identity of the ice factory itself against the socio-economic conditions in Assegaf Village residents. The research method was carried out qualitatively in the form of interview, field observation and literature reviews. The elements discussed will use the ANT (Actor-Network Theory) method to obtain a mapping description of the actors involved in the daily production of the Alwi Assegaf ice factory. The contribution of this study can be used as a review of further research literature that focuses on actor-network theory analysis. Keywords: Actor-Network Theory, Actor, Assegaf Village, Ice Factory. Relation

Industrial development in a country usually contributes to its national economy. Tourism as an industrial sector also contributes to increasing foreign exchange for the country. A building that is closely related to the tourism industry is a hotel. In general, hotel buildings use a concept that prioritizes comfort factors, such as: natural colors, cozy, neat, and others. Apart from this habit, some hotels use industrial concepts that prioritize functional and efficient aspects, such as: the use of unfinishing materials and utilities that are left as they are so that it gives the impression of sacrificing the comfort aspects commonly applied to hotel buildings. Therefore, this study aims to find out how to apply industrial concepts that are suitable for hotel buildings. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The study uses a case study on the same building and concept. Because hotels that use this concept are rarely found in Indonesia, the case study used is The Somos Hotel in Colombia. From this research, the conclusion is that the application of industrial concepts cannot be applied to all rooms in the hotel. The industrial concept in hotel buildings uses geometric shapes and firm lines, natural colors and monochrome colors, honesty in the use of materials and exposure to utility systems in public spaces.

Eco-architecture is a sustainable concept which in essence prioritizes natural and environmental aspects in an architectural design. In addition, eco-architecture also focuses on the use of natural energy as an alternative energy source to replace fossil energy which produces C02 which causes damage to natural ecosystems and causes harm to the living things in it. In this research, Marina Bay Sands Hotel is the object of hotel research that uses the concept of eco-architecture in its design. There is also a discussion on the building's energy operational system in which there are passive systems, hybrid systems, active systems and productive systems as levels in the use of building energy with the aim of providing efficient energy for buildings. The last is about the identification of harmony which includes discussing the configuration of the building mass and the orientation of the building. Based on the analysis carried out with the components previously mentioned, it can be concluded that the application of eco-architecture based on its principles has a significant impact on environmental conditions around the site. This is because these principles are principles that pay attention to environmental conditions during the construction period and after the building is active, which makes the building a sustainable building Â

Design workshops are one of the phases in studio-based learning that helps architecture students to accomplished projects in the studio through interactive and intense interactions between lecturers and students. Therefore, this phase is carried out through the face-to-face method and done in the studio. Since March 2020, for the first time, courses at the Architecture Program of Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) have been conducted by distance learning, including a second-year studio, Architectural Design III. Long before the pandemic COVID-19, several courses at the Architecture Program of Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) had been carried out by blended learning through USK e-learning platform and Schoology. As a case study, the Architecture Program (PSA) of USK uses Schoology as an online education platform to facilitate design workshops. This paper aims to reflect on the results of using Schoology as an online education platform that is fully utilized in second-year studio course. Using descriptive analysis method, this paper explores the strategies to maneuver from face-to-face into distance learning method in order to achieve learning objectives. As the result, Schoology is able to attempt synchronous and asynchronous features when conducting design workshops but it is not fully utilized, especially interactions between students. Â

Terminal is a public service, a place for up and down passengers, a place for transfers between public and a place for the arrival and departure of public transport. The terminal can drive the transportation system because it is an infrastructure that can increase the mobility of vehicles and users. At the Bandar Kajum terminal in the City of Tebing Tinggi, it is necessary to maximize the function of the terminal both in terms of facilities and building mass that is able to combine strength, usability and beauty so as to produce balance. To produce such a large building mass, hybrid architecture was chosen as an approach in designing the Bandar Kajum terminal because hybrid architecture is a combination of different planning and design elements in an environment. The research method used in this study is an approach with a descriptive method that aims to identify the application of a hybrid to the design which is carried out through eclectic stages, modifications and merging as a way to combine building programs, this allows the functions of one another to be interrelated. support and interact with each other in the same building mass and elevate the locality of the Bandar Kajum terminal. Indonesia is one of the countries that will enter the era of demographic bonus. The demographic bonus is that the productive age population's growth is more significant than the structure of the unproductive age population. Meanwhile, Indonesia is still experiencing difficulties in one of the health problems often experienced by adolescents, namely mental health. Medan is the capital city of North Sumatra Province, which has the 8th largest depression sufferer. A design approach that can answer this question is biophilic design. Biophilic design is a design approach based on biophilia, which is intended to create a space that can improve the well-being of human life physically and mentally by approaching the positive relationship between humans and nature. The Mental Health Center design method uses qualitative research methods, which will go through several processes that aim to identify the biophilic design and compare it to the interior design facility standards.
