Abstract

Early education can improve the quality of human resources for the future of nation. Kindergarten as the first formal education institution is an educational program for toddler and preschooler with the studied concept through learning and playing. Kindergartens are designed to enhance intellectual, social, emotional, linguistic and physical development. The factors to supporting the child’s development are teacher quality, learning activioties programs and the physical environment. Physical environment is a child's learning space along with teaching and learning facilities. Good study room facilities can play an important role as a supporter of teaching and learning activities so that learning activities can run optimally. Currently in some kindergarten (TK), still found the class facilities and supporting the less provide comfort and security for children. The purpose of this research is to know the application of standard study room facilities in PAUD Angsa Denpasar, so that later the results obtained can be used as recommendation for the actors or the kindergarten manager about some things about class facilities and ergonomic play, so that their students feel comfortable as well as secure both learning and playing outside or in the classroom.

Abstract

City Development Planning can be described as a decision-making process to realize economic, social, cultural and environmental goals through the development of a spatial vision, strategies and plans, and the application of a set of policy principles, tools, institutional participatory mechanisms, and regulatory procedures. Connectivity between cities is needed for a Bali island which is the best tourism destination in Indonesia. Good connectivity between cities can contribute greatly to tourism destinations in each city / region. In the future it will be a great work if the development of urban areas on the island of Bali is the integrated tourism industry path connectivity in the Smart City Development system. Smart city is a dream of almost all countries in the world both in the provincial and urban spheres. With Smart City, various kinds of data and information located in every corner of the city can be collected through sensors installed in every corner of the city, analyzed with smart applications, then presented according to user needs through applications that can be accessed by various types of gadgets. Through the gadget, users can also interactively become data sources, they send information to data centers for consumption by other users.

Abstract

There is many variety of seaweed in Indonesia. Among them there’s a lot of seaweed with high economic value. One of a kind with high value and high demand from around the world is Eucheuma cottonii or Kappaphycus alvarezii. Eucheuma cottonii contains high karaginan which is imprortant for human health. Seaweed has a lot of benefit for food or others, so that we has to improve our knowledge about seaweed especially Eucheuma cottonii.From the research at KUB Mitra Bahari, their location too produce seaweed is not a perfect place such as their water quality, temperature, and salinity. This factor caused their seaweed growth less than 3%. Beside that, there is a predator like Baronang fish and a disease that attack the seaweed such as ice-ice. From financial analiysis, their income is Rp 275.625.595,00, with profit and loss ratio Rp 62.852.382,00. B/C ratio is 1,3 and BEP Rp 7.290/kgs. And their payback period is 2 years 1 month and 6 days. Their RoI are 40%

Abstract

Environmental issues are a very important issue to find solutions together. The pavement industry with an overlay system with a continuous coating system has a positive and negative impact. The positive impact is the longer the more stable and strong. Because it continues to be overlaid on the new asphalt. But the negative results are not less powerful, namely the problem of environmental and cultural damage. Where houses of residents who are along the road will be smaller than the road to the position of the road and get higher. This will cause flooding and drainage difficulties. This situation is indeed beneficial from one side, namely that there is no need to incur costs to extract existing roads to be repaired with new ones. But on the other hand society and the environment is very disadvantaged. That is tantamount to the costs of the Government to the general public. Joint solutions that can be implemented in the short term in the same way for recycling for environmental reasons. And a long -term solution by developing a recycling system to make it easier and also with rules that favor the environment.

Abstract

One of the therapy methods on autistic children is color therapy, because the colours can cause psychological effects on children. Play room is the most effective room to be held a therapy, because in the play room children feel free to express themselves without realizing that they are being treated. Sensitivity to the colours of autistic child is expected to realized in the play room with the use of artificial lighting so that it can “provoke” a child sensitivity, without having to change the shape or colur of the room.

Abstract

Concrete with various variants is a basic requirement in building a building. The concrete mixture is diverse depending on the planning made beforehand. The cement mixture is usually in the form of a mixture of artificial stone, cement, water and fine aggregates and coarse aggregates. Aggregates (fine aggregates and coarse aggregates) function as fillers in concrete mixtures. (Subakti, A., 1994). However, in building construction, additives are often added, but there is still a sense of uncertainty at the time of dismantling the mold and the reference before the concrete reaches sufficient strength to carry its own weight and the carrying loads acting on it. To overcome the time of carrying out work related to concrete, it is necessary to find an alternative solution, for example by looking for alternative ingredients of concrete mixture on the basis of consideration without reducing the quality of the concrete. From the results of previous studies it was stated that due to the partial replacement of cement with Fly Ash, the strength of the pressure and tensile strength of the concrete had increased (Budhi Saputro, A., 2008). Based on the description above, the author seeks to examine how the compressive strength of concrete characteristics that occur by adding additives Addition H.E in the concrete mixture and is there any additive Additon H.E effect on the increase in the compressive strength characteristic of the concrete. From the results of the study, it was found that the compressive strength of the concrete with the addition of additives HE was that after the compressive strength test of the concrete cube was carried out and the analysis of concrete compressive strength of 10 specimens, in each experiment a cube specimen was made with the addition of additons. HE with a dose of 80 cc, 120 cc, and 200 cc can accelerate and increase the compressive strength of concrete characteristics.

Abstract

This study was aimed to compare algorithms that can effectively provide better solutions related to the problem of determining the shortest route in the distribution of goods. This research was a qualitative research. The object of research was the route of shipping goods of a business that is engaged in printing and convection. The algorithms compared in this study were Cheapest Insertion Heuristic (CIH) and Greedy algorithms. Both algorithms have advantages and disadvantages in finding the shortest route. From the results of the analysis using these two algorithms, the Cheapest Insertion Heuristic (CIH) and Greedy algorithm can provide almost the same optimization results. The difference was only the selection of the journey. The strength of the Greedy algorithm was that the calculation steps are simpler than the Cheapest Insertion Heuristic (CIH) algorithm. While the disadvantage of the Greedy algorithm was that it is inappropriate to find the shortest route with a relatively large number of places visited. The advantage of the Cheapest Insertion Heuristic (CIH) algorithm was that this algorithm is still stable, used for the relatively large number of places visited. While the lack of Cheapest Insertion Heuristic (CIH) algorithm was a complicated principle of calculation and was relatively longer than the Greedy algorithm.

Abstract

The background of this research is that Tenganan Pagringsingan Village, Karangasem Bali, produces the best Ikat Weaving in Indonesia. One of the Ikat Weaving is Gringsing Weaving produced by the community in Tenganan Pagringsingan Village, Karangasem Regency, Bali. This village is one of the villages inhabited by the people of Bali Mula or Bali Aga (Original Bali) alias Bali who were not from Java when the Majapahit Kingdom expedition to Bali. Weaving is a process of weaving between weft and warp threads. Warp yarns (threads that are attached to the loom) and weft (threads that are linked to the warp threads) which, if both are linked, will produce motifs. This simple process of craft art is now developing into a number of techniques in weaving depending on the creativity of each human - each so as to produce creations of attractive weaving motifs. In the subsequent development of weaving, it can be seen that the woven cloth produced is no longer a body covering material but the woven fabric has more functions than the body covering, for example this woven cloth has a function as traditional clothing or as the identity of the maker area. In addition, woven fabric can be used as a work of art that appears in accordance with local community life.This gringsing weaving describes the system of balance which is about the relationship between humans and humans, humans with nature, and humans with God. The god of the senses who are always worshiped by the Tenganan Pagringsingan people of Karangasem Bali are respected by a pandanus war rite, the pain seems to vanish by gringsing which always binds the body. Gringsing is believed to be able to avoid disease. Even more complex gringsing is a repellent of danger. Based on the background above, in this study the focus is on the process, forms of motifs and symbolic meaning of weaving gringsing in Tenganan Pagringsingan Village, Karangasem, Bali.

Abstract

To know the exact count of time period between the first and furthermore, about beat in a song, we need an instrument called metronome. This research was done to design and make a metronome which is AT89S51 microcontroller based, so we can analyze the time period counting for every beat within tempo.The method that has been used in this research is books evaluating with studied everything which are connected with AT89S51 microcontroller, seven segment display, LCD, keypad 3X4 and buzzer. Seven segment display as an output to display number 1,2,3 and 4 according to its turn. LCD has a function as an output to display the tempo category, so that the user can know the tempo chosen on the keypad. Keypad 3X4 is used as an input to arrange the tempo. Buzzer will produce “beep” sound when the seven segment display turn on. Next, the methods is followed by block diagram design and components scheme, instrument and software BASCOM making, also tested the components series to know was it work as its function or no.This metronome has already worked as the initial plan. This tool has the same precise of time period counting between the first and furthermore. This tool can display number 1,2,3 and 4 as its turn on the seven segment display and display category or tempo groups on LCD and “beep” sound through the buzzer.

Abstract

The train station in Malang is one of the stations under the supervision of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), which is engaged in the business of providing land transportation services. The large number of transportation service providers encourage competition between transportation service providers to provide good service to satisfy consumer desires. Service quality and condition of facilities available at railway stations in Malang, especially the waiting room section, still do not meet the Minimum Service Standards for People Transportation by Train based on the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. PM 9 on February 8, 2011. Therefore it is necessary to identify and evaluate the condition of waiting room facilities and the analysis and evaluation carried out to improve service quality with a Micro and macro ergonomics approach. With the Micro Ergonomics approach there will be proposed improvements to overcome work environment problems (air temperature and sound intensity level) in the train station waiting room. With the Ergonomics Macro approach a work system will be redesigned in the train station waiting room section that can be implemented by the train station manager. This study aims to identify, analyze problems and propose improvements to the condition of facilities in the waiting room section with a Micro and macro ergonomics approach to improve service quality at the Railway Station in Malang. This study describes the condition of facilities in the Railway Station waiting room in Malang through a questionnaire distributed to train service users. By knowing these conditions, a measurement of the working environment conditions is carried out on the train station waiting room. Obtained results of air temperature measurements in the waiting room area ranged from 31-35.3oC and the level of sound intensity in the waiting room section ranged from 66.8 to 88.1dB. Then the problem solving using the Macro Ergonomics approach using the MEAD method (Macro Ergonomic Analysis and Design) through ten stages of the process and obtained alternative selection results, namely repairs and procurement of facilities in the waiting room, officer training at the railway station and improvement of culture or passenger habits . From this study, a proposal to improve the waiting room facilities at the railway station in Malang was proposed which could be implemented by the management of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) to improve the service quality of the train station.
