Abstract

This study related to students' speaking ability using the Show and Tell method at eighth grade students of SMP Singosari Delitua. The purpose of this research was to find out whether the show and tell method can enhance students' speaking ability. Population and sample of this research was eighth grade students of SMP Singosari Delitua. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher used classroom action as a method in this research. The researcher also used pre-test and posttest in assessing the result of speaking ability. The author uses two cycles. The results of this study was that the show and tell method can enhance students' speaking ability. This can be proven from the test calculations on both cycles. In the pre-test, the average score of students was 54.85. In the post-test, cycle I the average score of speaking ability was 72 and the average score in the post-test of cycle II was 82.85. Based on these data, it can be concluded that there was a significant increase in students' speaking ability by applying the show and tell method.Keywords: Applying, Show And Tell, Speaking

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology provides demand in lifestyle of users. Nowadays everyone could access the internet easily and interact with everybody in various social media sites. Social media could not only be used as a communication tool, but also has many functions for the community, one of which can be used as a medium to present educational content. In this study an analysis of the types of educational content uploaded by one Instagram account @naturelovingeduhub through their Instagram platform in their efforts to influence their audience to participate in movements to sustainability environmental problems and to get a clear understanding of their audiences’ perceptions and thoughts on educational content. The purpose of this research is further divided into two points, to identify the different categories of educational content created by @naturelovingeduhub on Instagram and to determine the audience's perception of the educational content posted. This study uses a qualitative approach, which is the data will be obtained through analysis of content on posts on Instagram in the past year and conducting interviews with selected respondents to determine respondents' perceptions after long exposure to educational content provided by the account.

Abstract

This study aims to determine student learning outcomes on drug material through the application of the Double Loop Problem Solving (DLPS) learning model at SMK Negeri 1 Pungging Mojokerto class X MM 2 semester 1 of the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is classroom action research (CAR) which was carried out at SMK Negeri 1 Pungging Mojokerto class X MM 2 semester 1 of the 2022/2023 academic year, from August to September 2022. The research was carried out through 2 cycles with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation (observation), and reflection. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the application of the double loop problem solving learning model can improve student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the increase in mastery learning outcomes from the first cycle to 86.11% then increased in the second cycle to 91.66%. In addition, the application of the double loop problem solving learning model in class X MM 2 SMK Negeri 1 Pungging semester 1 for the 2022/2023 academic year in Physical Education and Health subjects with the subject matter of drugs can increase student activity, implementation of lesson plans and student scientific behavior. And the average student learning outcomes also increased rapidly from the first cycle of 81.12 increased to 86 in the second cycle.

Abstract

Self-efficacy is a person's inner belief in his ability to organize and take actions in order to achieve the desired results. The problem of low self-efficacy in choosing a career is something serious because it is related to the future and aspirations of students. This study uses classical guidance services with the use of cinema therapy to increase low self-efficacy towards career selection in Class XI MIPA 1 students at SMA Negeri 1 Puri. The purpose of this study was to describe the low level of self-efficacy towards career selection before and after being given classical guidance with the use of cinema therapy. This research is a classroom action research. The research procedure in this study includes planning, action, observation and reflection. This study consisted of two cycles with four meetings. The population in this study were all students of Class XI MIPA 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Puri, which consisted of 34 students. The results showed that 34 students who became the research sample had a self-efficacy level of 52.25% (low category) before receiving classical guidance services using cinema therapy. After receiving classical guidance services using cinema therapy, the average percentage of self-efficacy in choosing a career increased and entered the high category. There are differences in the level of self-efficacy towards career selection before and after the implementation of classical guidance services with the use of cinema therapy.

Abstract

English is a subject that focuses on preparing for the era of globalization. The results of initial observations at SMA Negeri 1 Puri obtained daily test scores for class X MIPA 2 . More than 50% did not complete in learning. The number of students who have not completed is 12 students with a completeness percentage of 60%. Based on the description, it shows that the learning outcomes of giving announcement material do not reach the minimum completeness criteria. The low learning outcomes are due to the application of learning models that are not suitable, students are passive in learning, there is no assessment of assignments. The purpose of this study was to analyze the increase in learning outcomes for class X MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Puri, through the application of the Student facilitator and explaining (SFE) learning model. To improve student learning outcomes in the material giving announcement, a class action research was conducted which consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of SMA Negeri 1 Puri Class X MIPA 2 academic year 2016/2017 which consisted of 28 students. The data collection instrument in this study was a matter of evaluation for the cognitive domain which was carried out at the end of each cycle. learning outcomes, and can teach and train students' character behavior. The implementation of the lesson plans was categorized as good with an average score of 3.0 in the first cycle and 3.27 in the second cycle. Student activity reached 85.26% in the first cycle and increased to 92.22%. In the aspect of scientific behavior, both cycles show that they are in the good category. Mastery learning outcomes also showed an increase, from 75% in the first cycle to 92.86% in the second cycle.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning outcomes of class XI MM 2 SMK Negeri 1 Mojoanyar Mojokerto Regency through the application of the 4 C model on Photography material. This research is a classroom action research with 2 improvement cycles which include planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The action given is to apply the 4 C model to the Photography material. The research was conducted from October to November 2018 in class XI MM 2 SMK Negeri 1 Mojoanyar. The results showed that the implementation of the lesson plans increased from 3.08 in the first cycle to 3.50 in the second cycle. The results of student learning tests showed an increase from classical completeness 77.78% in the first cycle to 88.89% in the second cycle. Student activity shows student-centered learning activities in both cycles with the percentage of activeness 91.89% in the first cycle rising to 94.44% in the second cycle.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in class X TPM 2 SMK Negeri 1 Pungging Mojokerto Regency through the application of the IMPROVE model to the exposition text material. This research is a classroom action research with 2 cycles of improvement which includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The action given is to apply the IMPROVE model to the exposition text material. The research was conducted in August 2022 in class X TPM 2 SMK Negeri 1 Pungging. The results showed that (1) the implementation of the lesson plans showed that the lesson plans could be implemented well, (2) the student activities showed student centered learning and students were very enthusiastic about listening to the information conveyed by the teacher, (3) student responses after the implementation the IMPROVE model used shows a positive response, and (4) the mastery learning outcomes in the first cycle individually have been achieved and classically have not been achieved, while in the second cycle the mastery learning outcomes both individually and classically have been achieved.

Abstract

Narrative text material in English subjects in class X MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Puri, students have difficulty in completing lessons, learning outcomes are still below the KKM and student activities tend to be passive. Therefore, classroom action research was conducted with the aim of knowing and describing the implementation and improvement of English learning outcomes for narrative text materials by applying the IMPROVE learning model in class X MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Puri in the even semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. The results showed that, learning by applying the IMPROVE learning model to the narrative text material for English lessons can run effectively and efficiently and improve learning outcomes in class X MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Puri Mojokerto. The results obtained in each cycle include an increase in the quality of learning from 2.64 (good) to 3.64 (very good), student activity increased from 84.44% (active) to 93.33% (very active), and complete learning outcomes increased from 72.73%. (unfinished) to 87.88 % (completed).

Abstract

Accuracy in face recognition is very important, so the process always begins with image segmentation. This segmentation is how the process of dividing the image into several objects, so that the object to be analyzed can be found. The easiest image segmentation is to use the clustering method. However, with so many clustering algorithms, it is necessary to know which algorithm can produce the best image segmentation for facial image datasets taken from employee attendance applications. This study uses an experimental method with image preparation stages, segmentation with k-means and fuzzy c-means algorithms, followed by evaluation using RSME, PSNR, and SSIM. The results of this study indicate that it can be said that for facial image segmentation taken from this employee attendance application, the segmentation of the clustering results with fuzzy c-means has the RMSE, PSNR, and visual effects values ​​needed for segmentation quality. on the image that is better than the image from the k-means segmentation.
