Abstract

The settlement of juvenile cases through restorative justice approach includes: the stages of investigation, prosecution, court and implementation of punishment or action and after serving the punishment or action. The problems in this study are about what factors are used against children in restorative justice in resolving child criminal cases. How is the responsibility of investigators in the implementation of restorative Justice in the settlement of juvenile criminal cases in the PPA Unit of the Langkat Police Criminal Investigation Unit. How are the obstacles and efforts of investigators in the PPA Unit of the Langkat Police Reskrim Unit in the implementation of restorative Justice in the settlement of criminal cases committed by children. Where this research uses an empirical juridical approach method, which tries to describe the application of restorative justice in the settlement of sexual abuse of children committed by minors by the PPA Unit of Satreskrim Polres Langkat. The data source of this research consists of primary and secondary data. The data analysis used is qualitative data analysis. The responsibility of PPA Satreskrim investigators of Langkat Police in implementing restorative Justice in resolving cases of children in conflict with the law is inseparable from the implementation of the duties and functions of investigators specified in the Law on the Child Criminal Justice System, where the implementation of diversion in resolving cases of children in conflict with the law is mandatory (imperative). The obstacle of investigators in the PPA Unit of the Langkat Police Criminal Investigation Unit in the implementation of restorative Justice is the difficulty of bringing together the balance of the various interests of the parties, namely the perpetrator, victim, and society.

Abstract

This article examines T.H. Marshall's thoughts on citizenship and social class as reflected in his book Citizenship and Social Class. T.H. Marshall divides citizenship into three main elements: civil rights, political rights, and social rights. Social rights, which include education, health, and social welfare, are the focus in reducing social inequality in society. Although civil and political rights have developed, T.H. Marshall emphasises that social rights still face major challenges in achieving equality. This study also integrates Tom Bottomore's view, which highlights the limitations of the state in providing social rights amid a capitalist system that emphasises market efficiency. This research is relevant to the conditions in Indonesia, which still faces inequalities in access to education, health, and social protection, despite affirmative policies such as the Family Hope Programme (PKH) and National Health Insurance (JKN). By analysing the thoughts of T.H. Marshall and Tom Bottomore, this study provides a perspective in understanding the relationship between citizenship, social class, and social inequality, as well as the importance of more inclusive policies in creating equal citizenship in Indonesia.

Abstract

This paper described an examines the efficiency of a 3-phase alternating current (AC) motor utilized to power a centrifugal pump at the water tower operated by PDAM Tirtanadi in North Sumatra. The primary objective is to assess the performance and energy efficiency of the motor-pump system, which is critical for ensuring optimal water supply management and minimizing operational costs. The research involves detailed data collection on the electrical consumption and output performance of the 3-phase AC motor during its operation. Parameters such as voltage, current, power factor, and load conditions are measured and analyzed. The efficiency of the motor is evaluated based on its ability to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy to drive the centrifugal pump effectively. Findings from this study reveal key insights into the operational efficiency of the 3-phase AC motor under varying load conditions. The analysis indicates the factors that influence motor efficiency, including mechanical losses, electrical losses, and the alignment of the motor with the pump's operational requirements. The study concludes with recommendations for optimizing motor efficiency, which include regular maintenance schedules, appropriate motor sizing, and potential upgrades to more energy-efficient motor models. Implementing these recommendations could lead to significant energy savings and improved performance of the water supply system managed by PDAM Tirtanadi. Overall, this research highlights the importance of continuous monitoring and evaluation of motor-driven pump systems in water supply infrastructure to achieve sustainable and cost-effective operations.

Abstract

At the beginning of 2022 Indonesia's condition has transitioned into an epidemic, making people realize the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This makes the government and business people need to take advantage of the conditions that exist in society. In addition, the rapid advancement of technology increasingly demands that all activities run more productively. Both of these things were answered with the adoption of the telemedicine application, which is a health care service by considering distance and using information and communication technology. Halodoc dominates as the application that is most often used by the Indonesian people, with the majority of Halodoc users being in the productive age range, which is between 20 - 41 years. The application of a healthy lifestyle requires a fairly long period, therefore the interaction of users of telemedicine applications needs to be carried out regularly, so it is necessary to know how to increase usage retention (continuous intentions). To get the continuous intentions of an application, there are main influencing factors, namely technological factors (Technology Acceptance Model) such as perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. However, it takes other factors such as Self-Service Technologies (SSTs) which is an assessment of a service provided to users without direct involvement or interaction with real people such as the convenience factor. The method used in this research is Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). There were 119 respondents who made Halodoc transactions and downloaded the application for more than six months, with an age range of 25 - 41 years. The results of this research study indicate that the continuous use of Halodoc is influenced by perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of brand equity, price and promotion on the purchasing decisions of Starbucks consumers in Jakarta by mediating the role of lifestyle. The research method used is a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. Data was collected through a survey with structured questions distributed to 100 Starbucks consumer respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Data collection was carried out in June 2023 using the purposive sampling method. Data was collected online via the Gform survey platform, and data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method via SmartPLS 3.00 software. The research results show that brand equity, price, and promotion influence purchasing decisions differently. As a mediator, lifestyle is proven to positively contribute to the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. This research contributes to understanding the factors that influence cafe consumers' purchasing decisions by highlighting the critical role of lifestyle as a mediator. The managerial implications of this research finding can help Starbucks and similar companies to optimize their marketing strategies, maintain brand image, and accommodate changes in consumer preferences.

Abstract

The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has intensified business competition, resulting in stability and decreased stock exchange trading. Stakeholders become more cautious and selective when making decisions. Therefore, companies must disclose quality financial statements to stakeholders in making accurate decisions. This study aims to re-examine the effect of ESG application on company value in Indonesia empirically. The independent variable in this study is the ESG score, where the value of each component is the result of research conducted by Thomas Reuters. In addition, this study also used a dummy variable, where the reference is an ESG index. The results showed that ESG scores and ESG indicepositively influenceon company value. This is also supported by cross-tabulation, which shows differences in ESG scores against companies that are included and not included in the ESG index. The application of ESG to companies can minimize information asymmetry, as well as potential conflicts with stakeholders. In addition, ESG indices are used to address stakeholder concerns about ESG issues, which can signal that it allows stakeholders to be more accurate in assessing companies based on standards specified in the index.
