Abstract

This research aim to implement character education for the children of fishermen in Lekok Pasuruan, and describe the character of educational factors for the children of fishermen in Lekok Pasuruan. This research use a qualitative with the field research type. Sources of data in this research using primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques in this research using; interview method, observation method, and documentation method. While the data analysis technique use descriptive qualitative data analysis. The result of the research is an educational strategy which given by the fishing community to children, through habituation and example in everyday family life, such as religion, independence, and responsibility. This including the environmental factor in character education of fishermen's children, the factor of habituation, example and awareness. The instinct factors that occur in the family environment are very good, because from generations they set a good example for each of their children. The habit factor of fishermen's children looking at the usual family environment with family kindnesses.

Abstract

UPN Veterans East Java as a State Defense Campus is a manifestation of the implementation of Article 27 paragraph 3 of the 1945 Constitution regarding the form of a state defense system to deal with non-military threats. One of the actual forms in general is the existence of Indonesian Language courses for Foreign Speakers (BIPA). The values ​​of nationalism can be traced to the five precepts contained in Pancasila, namely, Belief in One God, just and civilized humanity, Indonesian unity, democracy led by wisdom in representative deliberation, and social justice for all Indonesian people. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the application of practical methods. The practical method was chosen because it is in accordance with BIPA learning activities, namely coloring pictures related to state symbols, culture, customs, and traditions in Indonesia that contain nationalism values. The unit of research analysis is the values ​​of nationalism originating from Pancasila in BIPA learning for Yemeni students at UPNVJT. Triangulation of data sources was used as data validation. The research data analysis technique used was the interactive model of Miles and Huberman (1984). The results of the research related to the introduction of the values ​​of nationalism include the introduction of the 5 precepts in Pancasila, the introduction of symbols and symbols of Pancasila, the meaning of Pancasila and its relation to nationalism, as well as attitudes that reflect nationalism during Yemeni students study at UPN Veterans, East Java. Obtained results of research related to the stages in the practical method with coloring pictures media, namely, (1) Delivery of the initial objectives, (2) Explanation of practical material, (3) Demonstration of how to work, (4) Practice exercises/simulations, (5) Transfer training to test students' understanding regarding the introduction of nationalism values.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the problems that occur in the implementation of online learning in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic. The object of the study was a student of State High School 1 Pasuruan. Research with descriptive qualitative approach design is used in this research. It is expected that by using this approach the problems that occur on the ground can be interpreted and described very clearly and easily understood. The results of this study are known that the most widely used application in online learning is google classroom, followed by the use of google form, whattshap, and youtube applications. In its implementation the use of these various applications has obstacles including 1) difficulty in operating a laptop or mobile phone; 2) lack of internet data packets and does not have wifi network; and 3) Weak internet signal. These obstacles can be overcome with several solutions including the addition of internet quotas for students and training in the operation of online learning media that can be done with the help of local governments. The conclusion obtained from the results of this study is the importance of the role of the government in overcoming online learning obstacles in the field. In addition, the facilitation provided by the central government must also be seen its effectiveness whether it can be fulfilled or vice versa. Abstract

Slang is considered as very informal words or phrases. The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning of the slang and to find out the type of the slang in the song lyrics “Damn I Love You”by Agnes Monica. This study discusses the analysis of slang in Agnes Monica's song lyrics. This research is a descriptive qualitative design. The data classified based on the word formation process according to Yule's (2010) theory. Methods and focus on content analysis are used in analysing the data. The analysis starts from October 2021 to November 2021. The results of this study shows that the slang words in Agnes Monica's song consist of several word formations, there are seventeen types of slang word formation in this song. Tthere are three types of slang identified based on the findings from the song clipping, 7 blending, and Coinage. Based on the result, the blending process is the most common process found in Agnes Monica song.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out (1) the types of errors in the Indonesian to English translation texts made by class XII students (2) the process of making errors by students, and (3) the reasons for the errors. occurred in students' translation from Indonesian to English. This research is a qualitative research. The subjects of this study were students of class XII. The students consist of 30 students in class XII. The results of this study, the authors found that students made mistakes in the Indonesian to English translation text, the authors found the types of errors and the causes of errors made by students in translating Indonesian to English texts. The types of errors are verb error, preposition error, article error, possessive pronoun error, spelling error. The causes of errors that make students produce errors in translating Indonesian to English are interlingual transfers, intralingual transfers, lack of motivation, developmental errors, and interference errors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the self-confidence of prospective mathematics teachers in completing presentation assignments with the help of Prezi media and the factors that influence it. This research is a qualitative research. The subjects of this study were student teacher candidates at the Mathematics Education of PGRI Wiranegara University who took the Capita Selecta Mathematics course in elementary school. The research data were obtained through observation, questionnaires and interviews. Based on the results of the study showed that: (1) the confidence of prospective mathematics teachers in completing presentation assignments with Prezi media as a whole was 79.3% including the good category, (2) the factors that influenced self-confidence were: a) academic demands, b) self-esteem, c) surrounding social support, d) material readiness during presentations, e) self-appearance, f) material difficulties, g) short completion time, h) lack of experience in using Prezi media, i) weaknesses and strengths of Prezi.

Abstract

This study was conducted to describe the use of the Multiple Intelligences method in learning English in schools. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and the results of this study explain that, the development of Multiple Intelligences which is supported by curriculum, learning materials, human resources and learning processes that have been adjusted previously, is designed to develop intelligence and skills in students, especially in language skills ( speaking, writing, listening, reading) through the Multiple Intelligences method, with very varied, fun and creative activities. The learning begins by fully explaining the method that will be applied, then the teacher will make a lesson plan, where the preparation of this lesson plan is done by integrating English subjects with the method that will be used. The lesson plan consists of three parts, namely: syllabus (Title, Indicator, Time allocation) then the second component of activity (preliminary activity) and the last core activity (activity strategy and procedures). The effect of the implementation of the Multiple Intelligences-based English learning model on vocabulary mastery and English speaking skills and its impact on the results of the learning implementation and student learning experience can be seen from the students' motivation in participating in English learning, overall this method can be followed well by all students start from core activities which include exploration, elaboration, and confirmation of Multiple Intelligences-based learning activities, and closing activities which include reflection and evaluation. The procedure in implementing English learning in the classroom is emphasized on reading, writing, and listening skills with core activities such as discussion and dialogue.

Abstract

At this time the development of information technology is growing very rapidly. This development can certainly be used in various aspects of human life, and one of them is in the education sector. Blended Learning is a learning method that is produced by utilizing the development of technology and information. The influence is clearly visible, one of which is the learning method. The learning method that used to be done only face-to-face in the classroom and made educators as an information center (conventional) gradually began to change towards learning which is also online based on the internet as an information center. This study uses a descriptive method and a qualitative approach to produce a conclusion that, briefly, the use of Blended learning in the development of English lessons is a new method that combines the e-Learning system with conventional or face-to-face methods. Finally, the role of technology can provide a new learning method that takes place actively, openly and provides a different atmosphere when students are in class, through the Missing Pieces Activities technique and line application, English language learning is applied by providing various kinds of learning activities which include: , listening activities (with Missing Words), speaking activities (with Missing Small Thing), and reading activities (with Missing Sentences) on the other hand the use of line applications for the English learning process is carried out by uploading several practice questions, including major in the discussion of reading and speaking

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of the Merdeka Learning program at the Merdeka Campus. The program evaluation research carried out adopted the discrepancy evaluation model. Research data in quantitative and qualitative were collected utilizing questionnaires, interviews, and documentary studies. The respondents of this study were students from 3 universities in West Java, Central Java, and West Kalimantan. The data is then analyzed for gaps with the expected targets or achievements. The results of this study indicate that the Independent Campus Independent Learning Program is viewed in various ways by students. The student group consists of three categories: students who view college as a means to achieve goals, students who view college as a means for self-development, and students who view college as a temporary solution. These three groups of students have different perspectives on the MBKM program in terms of interest, institutional support, and learning impact. In general, the MBKM program has been implemented by exceeding the targets expected in this study.

Abstract

Schools as one of the education industries must be able to keep up with the speed of information. Quality schools can be seen from the results of the results. School programs are able to run well and achieve the goals that have been set by the school. This is certainly the implication of the application of management information systems in the framework of decision making by school management. This research is qualitative research or research. In general, qualitative research has two main characteristics, namely: First, data is not in the form of numbers, more in the form of narratives, stories, written documents and unwritten. Second, qualitative research has no absolute formulas or rules for processing and analyzing data. In the world of education, qualitative research aims to describe a process of educational activities that is based on the process of educational activities that is based on what happens on the ground as a study material to find its weaknesses and shortcomings so that it can be determined improvement efforts. In the face of globalization, the indonesian education world must immediately improve itself in improving information systems to support the competitiveness of human resources produced by these educational institutions. The information system that will be created must be balanced between the available technological infrastructure and its human resource capabilities so that there is no very far-reaching inequality and information systems cannot be significantly realized in supporting the quantity and quality of education fundamentally. In addition, information systems are increasingly needed by educational institutions, especially in improving the smooth flow of information in educational institutions, quality control and creating cooperation with other parties that can increase the value of educational institutions.
