Abstract

Rainfall is the water main source on the world. Rainwater that can be used for life is water that reaches the soil surface (effective rain), and then be stored in the soil or as surface runoff that causes flooding. The total of rainwater that reaches the soil surface on vegetated lands is highly dependent on the total of interception (water retained and absorbed by vegetation to then evaporate to atmosphere). The remaining rainwater that is not retained by vegetation will flow through the stem (stem flow) and through fall from the plant canopy to the soil surface. The total of rain water intercepted depends on the nature of the rain and the vegetation. Therefore, this study wanted to examine the total of through fall related to the type of vegetation and the rain characteristics. The research was conducted at Dusun Besar, Kayong Utara Regency, West Kalimantan during the 2021 rainy season, on a slope transect from flat land to hills. The transect was divided into several slope classes, then on each slope class were observed of the vegetation type, rainfall, through fall, and intercept. Observations showed that the through fall in each land use was, teak on slope I (J;I) was 74.81%; Coconut on slope I (K;I) was 74.41%; Durian on slope II (D,II) was 50.64%; Durian on slope IV (D;IV) was 59.58% and forest on slope IV (H;IV) was 54.58%. The greater through fall is in line with the greater and more rain frequent, and the smaller of plant area canopy.

The way of research used in this study is a literature review, which is a qualitative method. The data used came from other sources, like books, scientific works, and the results of past study. The steps of data analysis were collecting the data, reducing the amount of data, showing the data, and making conclusions. The results showed that Blue Bird Group's communication strategy for the industrial era 4.0 included getting people involved in the organization, changing business models and integrating technology, communication, and employee engagement, being responsive to customer preferences and needs, investing in technology, and forming partnerships. Abstract

Self-adjustment is a common problem encountered by new students. Almost all of them are related to adjusting to the unique situation in higher education. The existence of differences in cultural backgrounds causes differences in perceptions among students, especially in interactions through virtual media. This research aims to identify barriers to communication between cultures among new students at the LSPR Communication & Business Institute when interacting through virtual media. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection is done by collecting information from primary data and secondary data. Preliminary data were obtained from interviews and direct field observations, while secondary data were obtained from references or previous research journals. The study results show that technological, psychological, environmental, language and other factors cause new students' intercultural communication barriers in virtual media. This research implies that various parties, especially the campus, can use it as a reference to overcome intercultural communication barriers between ethnic groups when interacting through virtual media.

Abstract

Crime is an activity that violates specific rules and norms and is detrimental to other people which is still often found amid social life from the past until now. The Light Copyist is used as a research object because of his fame until now. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a constructivist paradigm and uses Stuart Hall's reception analysis theory as well as Soesilo's theory of crime and WA Bonger. This study aims to discuss the phenomenon of criminality in the film Copying Light based on Stuart Hall's 3 interpretive positions. There are 7 scenes analyzed and all of these scenes have elements of crime in them. Based on the answers from the informants, the majority of them are in a dominant-hegemonic position. In this study, there are new findings in the forms of crime that are not included in Bonger's classification and the emergence of crime levels, namely treason, felony, and misdemeanor. The researcher's suggestion is to continue this research regarding these new findings so that people become more aware of existing forms of crime.

Abstract

This research describes efficiency measurement with Industry-based Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The samples obtained amounted to 25 articles that discussed Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Researchers classify based on researchers, titles, input and output variables, and the results of each article. The research design used in this research is Literature Review. Based on the results of a review of several articles regarding efficiency measurement with Data Envelopment Analysis, it is as follows, the ability to produce maximum output with existing inputs is the expected performance. When measuring Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) we are faced with the condition of how to get the optimal output level with the existing input level, or determine the minimum input level by shouting a certain output level.
