Abstract

As sandboxing grows in popularity as a method of malware detection and prevention, cybercriminals will find new ways to circumvent this technology. For example, there are new types of malware that can recognize if they are in a sandbox. These malware infections do not execute their malicious code until they are outside the sandbox. One of the techniques attackers use to circumvent a sandbox solution is Lack of Users input. In this malware can analyze user input level to detect sandbox. In contrast to a sandbox, different types of user activity, such as mouse or keyboard activity occur frequently. Implementation of sandboxing technology in testing and analyzing malware behavior, including malware that uses data obfuscation techniques, can provide a better understanding of the characteristics and behavior of the malware. Effective mitigation measures include blocking malware access to system resources and turning off malware execution completely.

Abstract

The polygraph instrument, a computed technology, has the ability to interpret deceit with up to 98% accuracy through physiological data management, such as blood pressure fluctuations, pulse frequency, respiratory frequency, and changes in skin moisture due to anxiety from the questions asked. The emergence of the Regulation of the Chief of Indonesian National Police (Perkap) Number 10 of 2009 Article 9 Section (2) Point A decided that the use of polygraph instruments as evidence in court would provide assistance to the Judge to decide verdicts during criminal cases. Dozens of criminal verdicts have been decided since 2009. Although it has been found that the result of the polygraph instrument hasn’t been used as evidence due to its scientific methods that don't meet the required objective elements, therefore it doesn’t have a place in the criminal code procedure (KUHAP). Implicit approvals could be found in Article 5 of the Bill of Act on Electronic Information and Transaction (UU ITE) Number 19 of 2016 on the amendment of UU ITE Number 11 of 2008; and Constitutional Court Decision (Putusan MK) Number 20/PUU-XIV/2016. In order to attain legal certainty over the role of the polygraph instrument in court, the author examined the issue by answering these two research questions: What is the urgency of using the polygraph instrument as evidence in court?; and How is the legal study of the use of the polygraph instrument as valid evidence in court as written in UU ITE Number 19 of 2016 on the amendment of UU ITE Number 11 of 2008. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to answer both of the research questions. Throughout this study, the author used judicial normative as its research method, while also using primary, secondary, and tertiary data. The primary data that were used during this research are KUHAP, UU ITE Number 19 of 2016 on the amendment of UU ITE Number 11 of 2008, other legislations and jurisprudence in relation to this study. The secondary data that were used during this research are scientific journals, articles, theses, and dissertations in relation to this study. The tertiary data that were used during this research are the English and Indonesian dictionaries. This study found that the polygraph instrument can be used as evidence in court through the Judge’s decision and based on the Judge’s convictions of the legislation, jurisprudence, as well as law and sense of justice that are developing in the society. In essence, the need for general, final, and binding law are crucial.

Abstract

In the world of manufacturing industry, it is not far from the name of maintaining and improving the quality of its products because it is the most important part of the production process. Quality is defined as a general characteristic of a product or service that affects its ability to meet needs. UD Arjuno is classified as an SME engaged in the manufacture of pillowcase and bolster products. In this business, the quality control carried out is still not optimal, this is indicated by the presence of a number of defective products found in each production. The purpose of this study is to identify the causes of disability that occur with the largest percentage and causative factors and provide suggestions for improvement. In quality control issues, UD Arjuno needs to use the FMEA analysis method to identify the impact of system or process failures, and reduce or eliminate the chances of failure. The results showed that of the 17 potential failure modes that cause defects in pillowcase products, there are 4 failure modes which are the highest RPN values or tercuritis failures that often occur, namely tilted malls, workers lack control of machines, materials easily eaten by rats and operators are less careful.

Abstract

Androgen receptor (AR) is a ubiquitous receptor responsible for responses by androgen stimulus. Androgen, a hormone which will bind to the AR, is essentials for normal male sexual development. Nevertheless, one of the polymorphisms in the AR gene, G1733A (rs6152) have been associated with numerous clinical risks such as cardiovascular disease (CD), androgenetic alopecia, high prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels, male infertility, recurrent spontaneous abortions and prostate cancer. This study aims to develop an alternative and cost-effective method to detect G1773A (rs6152) polymorphism. In this study, amplification refractory mutation system-polymerase chain reaction (ARMS-PCR) using two pair of primers was used to detect the G1733A (rs6152) polymorphism. Primer design was done using http://primer1.soton.ac.uk/primer1.html online tools and then manually adjusted to increase the specificity. A total of 54 samples were screened using ARMS PCR and 2 representative samples of each allele from previous screening were used to validate the results using Sanger DNA sequencing. Among 54 subjects screened, we found 52 (96.3%) subjects carry G allele and 2 (3.7%) subjects carry A allele. No heterozygote was found in this study. The frequency of G allele was 96.97% and the frequency of A allele was 3.03%. Result validation using DNA sequencing was in agreement with ARMS-PCR method results. ARMS-PCR can be used as efficient alternative for genotyping of G1733A (rs6152) AR gene polymorphism.

Abstract

This study investigates the active involvement of elementary school teachers in laying the foundation for character education. Character education is essential for shaping the newer generation's moral, ethical, and responsible personalities. Primary school, as the first level of education, plays a crucial role in molding the character of children. Teachers serve as role models for their students by inspiriting, guiding, and assisting them to realize their highest character potential. The purpose of this study is to provide an in-depth understanding of the active role of teachers in shaping students' character in elementary schools, including the ways in which teachers engage in character education, the strategies they employ, and the challenges they encounter. The study also intends to assess the efficacy of character education implemented by instructors in shaping the character of students. The results demonstrate that instructors play a crucial role in shaping the character of their students. The implementation of character education in elementary schools requires a concerted and persistent effort to create a learning environment that supports and inspires the development of good character.

Abstract

The development and density of population as well as changes in people's consumption patterns, especially in big cities, have resulted in increasingly diverse types and characteristics of waste. The data shows that plastic is the largest composition of inorganic waste that is disposed of at the Bantargebang final landfill (TPST) every day with 14.02% being plastic waste. According to the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita , the plastic recycling industry can produce a variety of value-added products with an economic potential of more than IDR 10 trillion per year and an export potential of US$ 141.9 million of recycled plastic derivative producbts. From this potential, the research results show that in 2 different scenarios, the plastic waste processing business plan has a positive NPV with a payback period of 1.78 years and 3.55 years respectively for the base and worst scenarios. These results indicate the feasibility of the plastic recycling business to run
