Abstract

This research is motivated by the sub optimal library services provided to students, one of which is circulation services and reference services, resulting in low reading interest of students at SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang, especially in class VIII, and the lack of supporting facilities to increase students' reading interest. The problem limitation of this study is focused on the relationship between library services and students' reading interest at SMP Negeri 2 Padang Panjang. This study is a field research study using a quantitative approach. This research method uses correlational, namely to test whether there is a relationship between variable X and variable Y. The population in this study were all students of class VIII of SMPN 2 Padang Panjang. Sampling in this study was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The classes selected as samples were VIII B and class VIII C, totaling 50 students. The data was processed using the statistical product and service solution (SPSS) program version 29. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between library services and students' reading interest. To find out whether the relationship is significant or not, a product moment correlation test or r test was conducted. The results of the r test showed a correlation coefficient value of 0.361 which is greater than the r table of 0.284. The significance value of the correlation coefficient is 0.010, which is less than 0.05. Therefore, there is a low and significant relationship (correlation) between the library service variable (X) and the student reading interest variable (Y).

Abstract

Educators and educational staff are essential resources in supporting the success of the teaching and learning process in schools. Therefore, they must be managed effectively, and their management can not be separated from the role of a leader. This study is a literature review conducted using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, consistingof six stages: planning, literature search, inclusion and exclusion criteria assessment, quality assessment, data collection, and data analysis. This study aims to identify supporting factors, the contribution of information technology to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of managing educators and educational staff, and the role of leadership in overcoming obstacles in managing these resources. The results of data analysis indicate that the effectiveness and efficiency of managing educators and educational staff are influenced by adequate infrastructure, competency of educators and educational staff, integrated information technology, effective leadership, clear task allocation, good communication, and performance monitoring and evaluation. Information technology supports more efficient management through administrative automation, rapid data access, and transparent financial management. Leadership plays a strategic role in providing direction, support, and innovation, thus overcoming administrative challenges, boosting motivation, and strengthening coordination among related parties.

Abstract

Laboratories are complex environments, where social interactions and professional demandsblend with performance pressures and organizational hierarchies. Behind the seeminglyobjective scientific activity, there are emotional dynamics that influence individual behavior, one of which is embodied shame. Based on concepts discussed by Ruebottom and Toubiana(2024), this article explores the impact of shame on laboratory management. Internalizedshame can negatively impact laboratory dynamics by inhibiting collaboration, loweringemotional energy and creating a less productive work environment. Individuals who feelshame tend to shrink emotionally and physically, which inhibits their potential to innovate andcollaborate effectively. To address this issue, labs must create a psychologically safeenvironment, where members feel supported and free from fear to conduct experiments.Inclusive leadership that supports all groups, as well as providing opportunities for reflectionand personal growth, can help reduce internalized shame. With the right managementstrategies, laboratories can become more inclusive and supportive places, which not onlyimproves the emotional well-being of laboratory members, but also fosters scientificinnovation and better collaboration
