Abstract

This study aimed to find the preparation of the university in implementing Independent Campus Learning policy (MBKM) for both programs, human resources, and infrastructure. The approach of this study was Qualitative, and the collecting of the data used interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis of the data used triangulation data. It was used to get validity and detailed information of the data. The result of the study got from the program aspects that had been implemented. They were a teacher and teaching training programs. It found there were fewer human resources and infrastructure in implementing Independent Campus Learning policy (MBKM)

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine: planning correspondence, planning archives and evaluating correspondence and archives in the administration of SMP Negeri 5 Solok City. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data sources in this study were the administrative head of SMP Negeri 5 Solok City, operators, and the administrative ranks of SMP Negeri 5 Solok City. Data collection techniques using interview techniques, documentation and observation. Data analysis techniques through qualitative analysis, namely; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that: (1) planning for correspondence and archives in the administration of SMP Negeri 5 Solok City includes two activities, namely planning a general field work program based on an operational plan as a guide for carrying out tasks and determining activity facilities in accordance with the school work program; (2) the implementation of archiving at SMP Negeri 5 Solok City includes four activities, namely filing letters, teaching teacher attendance lists, diplomas, certificates, educator certificates, duplicating official reports, tidying incoming and outgoing letters neatly into orders or folders based on classification and carry out the preparation of archives; (3) evaluation of correspondence and archives at SMP Negeri 5 Solok City provides convenience in accessing information and retrieving archives quickly when needed and carrying out activity reports properly according to the specified time.

Abstract

This research is motivated by several problems related to the open service system found in the library of SMP N 3 X Koto. In terms of the open service system contained in the library, it has actually been implemented optimally, but there are still things that need to be improved so that open services can improve even better. The aims of the research are (1) to find out how the open service system at SMPN 3 X Koto is. The research method used is qualitative. The data sources that were determined were the head of the library, library staff, and students. Techniques and data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. The suggested data analysis according to Huberman is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or drawing conclusions. Based on the results of this study, (1) The open service system in increasing students' reading interest at SMPN 3 X Koto has been carried out well in accordance with the provisions, namely: Users can go directly to the shelves to take collections, collections found can be read on the spot or borrowed to take home, if you want to borrow to take home you can go directly to the circulation service desk so that the open service system is able to increase students' reading interest.

Abstract

This research discusses the Professionalism of Education Personnel (Tata Usaha) at MTs Al-Muhajirin Sumber Makmur, Kec. Muara Padang Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. In this study, researchers used qualitative descriptive research. The techniques used in data analysis are data reduction, data presentation, and inference. The results showed that the professionalism of education personnel (administrative) in MTs Al-Muhajirin can be said to be quite good in terms of personality and social competence, namely judging from the attitude, behavior, discipline and responsibility of education personnel during the administrative service process for students. But in terms of technical and managerial competence is not good enough, because in technical problems education personnel do not master the field.

Abstract

This research departs from the fact that there are still many students who have bad character and always violate school rules. The purpose of this study was to determine the planning of student character development, organizing student character development, implementing student character development and controlling student character development. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research are: (1) character development planning in the form of applying character values to students, planning character development through extracurricular activities, making school regulations for students and teachers, and planning to make an honesty canteen: (2) organizing character development in the form of school principals dividing tasks according to their expertise, carry out unification of tasks by working together, and who are responsible for the teacher council and school principals; (3) the implementation of character development in the form of applying character values through the learning process, carrying out extracurricular in the application of character values, implementing school regulations and implementing teacher exemplary methods, and the honesty canteen has not been implemented because the costs are not sufficient (4) controlling character development in the form of determining achievement standards, evaluate by comparing the program implemented with the planned, make improvements to errors and make additions to deficiencies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how career coaching/development, factors that influence career coaching/development, and obstacles in career coaching/development. The research method used is qualitative. The data sources that were determined were the principal, the head of the administrative staff and all education staff employees. Data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of coaching/career development for education staff at SMK Nusatama Padang has been going well but still not optimal. The placement of educational staff's work positions is in accordance with the abilities of each employee. The coaching/career development of education staff at SMK Nusatama Padang is still not optimal because the number of employees tends to be small so that the career development of education staff is hampered. The obstacle in career development is that several plans have not been achieved. Therefore, the principal carries out career coaching for employees and education staff by holding career coaching training every year so that the career development planning process at SMK Nusatama Padang runs optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether leadership style and motivation affect the performance of Bank BTPN Padang City employees. The type of research used is quantitative research. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 32 respondents from Bank BTPN Padang City employees. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis method. The results of this study indicate that, based on the t statistic test, the t value for the leadership style variable is 3.233 > t table 1.695 and the significant value is 0.002 < 0.05. While the motivation variable is 5.637> t table is 1.695 and the significant value is 0.000 <0.05. So it can be concluded that leadership style and motivation have a significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

This paper aims to determine the implementation of academic supervision at the Madrasah Aliyah in Sungai Penuh City. The method used is a survey method. The findings showed that the implementation of academic supervision at the Madrasah Aliyah in Sungai Penuh City was categorized as low. This is because academic supervision does not channel government regulations to declare and improve the quality of education through improving teacher performance in the school environment, especially in madrasas. Operationally, the supervisor's work only evaluates the teacher's performance. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the implementation of academic supervision was increasingly not carried out properly because they used the 47.5% zoom meeting application in supervisor activities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the power strategy by the head of SMP Negeri 1 Gunung Talang in developing pesantren-based education, the implementation of the power strategy in developing pesantren-based education, and the implementation of the Persuasive Strategy and Re-Educative Strategy by the principal of SMP Negeri 1 Gunung Talang in developing pesantren-based education. This type of research is a field research (Field Research) using a qualitative descriptive method. Data was collected by direct observation and interviews submitted to the principal, teacher of the field of study, and several students. The results showed that the implementation of the power strategy by the principal through several ways, namely: the implementation of extracurricular and religious activities, the implementation of orders and prohibitions, the provision of rewards and punishments, Muslim dress, the baliak ka surau program. The implementation of a persuasive strategy by the principal through: establishing good communication with school residents, both teachers, employees, and school officials as well as students and establishing good communication with community members. Normative re-educative strategy by school principals through: disseminating Islamic teachings through students, involving parents in supervising children and involving students and students in Islamic arts activities

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of EMIS applications that have not been realized optimally because there are still obstacles faced. The purpose of this study was to determine the Education Management Information System (EMIS) in improving the quality of school services: the EMIS Application Program, the use of the EMIS Application in improving the quality of services at MTsN 3 Pariaman City, and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for the use of the EMIS application. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing/verification. The research findings are: (1) The EMIS program consists of a dashboard that includes school profile data, student data, teacher data, and education staff as a whole, and infrastructure data includes data on existing infrastructure in schools; (2) The use of the EMIS application starts from opening google chrome or mozilla firefox, then typing the link provided, logging in using the username and password. After entering the main menu, the operator can choose which menus to click to fill in the EMIS data. (3) The supporting factor for the use of EMIS is the role of the school principal in providing the necessary facilities and infrastructure including hardware consisting of a laptop or computer, and software including hotspots or WIFI networks, then directing school operators to follow existing zoom or training in order to increase knowledge and skills of the operator. The inhibiting factor in using EMIS is sometimes a system error, the latest EMIS must upload files from old student data.
