Abstract

This study aims to prove empirically the effect of work motivation and emotional intelligence on work productivity. This study used a sample of 66 employees of PT MNC Sky Vision KPP Padang with a proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The data used are primary data obtained through distributing questionnaires to selected employees. This study has two categories of variables. The first is the independent variable, namely work motivation and emotional intelligence. The two dependent variables are work productivity. The analysis method used is descriptive and quantitative analysis. The results of testing the first hypothesis found that work motivation has a significant effect on the work productivity of employees of PT MNC Sky Vision KPP Padang. The results of testing the second hypothesis found that emotional intelligence has a significant effect on the work productivity of PT MNC Sky Vision KPP Padang employees. The results of the third hypothesis found that work motivation and emotional intelligence together have a significant effect on the work productivity of PT MNC Sky Vision KPP Padang employees.

Abstract

Measuring teacher performance is an important part of the educational management control process, both public and private education organizations. However, because the nature and characteristics of public education sector organizations differ from those of the private sector, such performance must be measured and reported in the form of a performance report. There are also differences in the emphasis and orientation of performance measurement. The objectives of the performance appraisal in the public sector are: Knowing the level of achievement of educational organizational goals, providing learning facilities for educational personnel, improving the performance of education personnel for the next period, providing systematic consideration in making decisions about giving rewards and punishments to educational personnel, motivating educational staff, creating accountability for educational organizations.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan memegang peranan kunci terhadap arah, tujuan, serta keberhasilan meraih visi sebuah organisasi. Lembaga pendidikan merupakan salah satu bentuk organisasi dimana tingkat keberhasilannya sangat ditentukan oleh faktor manajemen dan peran kepemimpinan. Kenyataan ini menunjukkan betapa besar peran kepemimpinan dalam pendidikan. Karena itu, perbaikan sistem manajemen dan kepemimpinan dalam pendidikan mutlak diperlukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan, menganalisis, dan menginterpretasikan bagaimana bentuk kepemimpinan dalam organisasi lembaga pendidikan Islam. Metode yang digunakan merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka (libarary research). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran kepemimpinan sangat penting dalam organisasi lembaga pendidikan. Selain itu, eksisitensi kepemimpinan akan memberikan dampak yang baik untuk mengembangkan produktivitas organisasi, dimana visi dan misi organisasi akan mampu tercapai secara efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

Leadership plays an important role in an organization or institution. Leadership does not only play a role in directing and organizing the potential of organizational members through mutually formulated goals. However, leadership also plays a key role in regulating the rhythm of organizational movements, including Islamic boarding schools. The Islamic boarding school is an Islamic educational institution led by a kyai. As an organization, the level of success of education in Islamic boarding schools is very much influenced by the model and style of the leader. The results of the analysis of this study answered that the leadership model of Islamic boarding schools currently has a leadership model that tends to have individual-collective characteristics. It is known that the implementation of leadership in pesantren is still guided by individual kyai. Meanwhile, in another aspect, the Islamic boarding school is under the auspices of a foundation so that collective leadership collaboration is needed.

Abstract

This paper is motivated by the conditions of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The learning process must be done from home. In accordance with government policy, work from home and learn from home. The purpose of this research is to study the creativity of students in implementing online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is using a qualitative method with descriptive analysis. And as respondents and sources of data for this study were students of IAI Nusantara Batanghari. The results showed as many as 79.4% thought online learning was very effective, while 20.6% thought it was not yet effective. That means effectiveness can increase student productivity. This result is supported by data as much as 23% they strongly agree, 44% agree, and there are 15% of students who disagree. It shows the quality of online learning, increases student productivity, both increases productivity in soft skill development and self-development increases business efficiency in meeting daily needs.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the teacher creativity in SMKN 2 Pariaman. The study utilized quantitative method with descriptive approach. The population in this study are all of teachers in SMKN 2 Pariaman, they are 102 teachers and sample of this study is 53 teachers with stratified proportional random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by using analysis technique though SPSS 20.0. The result found that (1) teacher creativity based on open minded feature with mean score 3,94 at high category, (2) teacher creativity based on problem solving feature with mean score 4,15, at high category (3) teacher creativity based on humorous feature with mean score 3,83 at high category and (4) teacher creativity based on innovative feature with mean score 3,64 at high category. Therefore, the conclusion was teacher creativity in SMKN 2 Pariaman is at high category level and it can increase learning quality.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the influence of the headmaster's leadership and work environment on job satisfaction at SMA Negeri 2 Prabumulih. This research is an expost facto research with quantitative approach. The population of this study was teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Prabumulih, a sample of 72 people in this study. Research data collection techniques using questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques use double correlation analysis and double regression. The results showed that: (1) the leadership of the head of the school had a positive effect on job satisfaction at SMA Negeri 2 Prabumulih; (2) The work environment has a positive effect on job satisfaction at SMA Negeri 2 Prabumulih; and (3) the leadership of the principal and the work environment together have a positive effect on job satisfaction at SMA Negeri 2 Prabumulih.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan adalah seseorang yang dapat mempengaruhi, mendorong, mengajak, menuntun, menggerakkan orang lain agar menerima pengaruh sesuatu yang dapat membantu pencapaian tujuan tertentu. Kepemimpinan pada hakikatnya berhubungan dengan tenaga manusia atau kelompok yang terorganisasi, dan sebagai satu kekuatan atau potensi. Salah satu pedoman itu adalah kewajiban manusia untuk mentaati segala yang diperintahkan untuk kehidupan yang lebih baik dan menjauhi segala larangan untuk menghindari diri dari perbuatan tercela. Dalam perjalanan dinamika kehidupan manusia, ternyata manusia tidak bisa hidup sendiri, manusia membutuhkan seorang pemimpin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana konsep kepemimpinan dalam Islam, memahami apa itu kepemimpinan, kepemimpinan dalam Islam, dan apa urgensi seorang pemimpin dalam lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research), dalam penganalisisan data model metode ini menggunakan model analisis deskriptif. Sebagai sumber informasi yaitu; buku-buku ilmiah, laporan penelitian, karangan-karangan ilmiah dan jurnal-jurnal. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat dijelaskan bahwa konsep kepemimpinan dalam Islam, merupakan cara pandang yang menjadi dasar landasan pemikiran dalam berperan menjadi seorang pemimpin. Adapun konsep yang dimiliki oleh ajaran Islam dalam memandang kepemimpinan, kepemimpinan dalam Islam mencakup beberapa Aspek yaitu; aspek pengaruh, aspek kerohanian, dan aspek karakteristik.

Abstract

The very fast growth of the era requires mental readiness to face the dynamics of the industrial revolution era 4.0. Lecturers of Islamic Education, in addition to being educators and teachers as well as leaders. For this reason, a lecturer in Islamic Education who understands his role is needed so that he can carry out his leadership function optimally in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. This library research was conducted by examining various literatures and analyzes regarding the leadership of Islamic education lecturers in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The data collection technique was carried out by analyzing various available sources on leadership for Islamic Education lecturers in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The lecturer of Islamic Education as a leader puts forward a work ethic in leading based on a calling, leading with willpower, leading sincerely, leading thoroughly, leading creatively, leading excellently. Lecturers of Islamic Education have roles as role models, inspirers, agents of change, developers of Islamic culture in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. All parties need to work together to improve the quality of learning in facing the threats and challenges in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of principal leadership style and work motivation on teacher performance of Muhammadiyah junior high schools and islamic junior high school in Palembang City. This research is a quantitative research. The subjects of this study were the principal and teachers. Data collection methods using questionnaires and documentation. Test instrument using validity test and reliability test. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential data analysis techniques. The results showed: (1)  the leadership style of the principal has a significant effect on the performance of teachers SMP and MTS Muhammadiyah in Palembang City; (2) work motivation has a significant effect on the performance of teachers SMP and MTS Muhammadiyah in Palembang City. (3) the principal’s leadership style and  work motivation jointly influence the performance of teachers SMP and MTS Muhammadiyah in Palembang City.
