Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out: (1) Development of power point-based learning media on Aqeedah Moral learning in MTs N Kisaran, (2) The feasibility of power point-based learning media on learning Aqidah Akhlak in MTsN Kisaran, (3) Practicality of learning-based media power point on the learning of Aqeedah Morals in MTs N Range, and (4) effectiveness of learning media based on power point on the learning of Aqeedah Morals in MTsN Kisaran in improving student learning outcomes. Research methods used by research and development methods (R&D). Product development procedures are carried out in stages: (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) validation, (5) product trials and (6) product revisions. The research findings show: (1) the development of power point-based learning media on Aqeedah Akhlak learning is done first by analyzing the needs and then proceed with the design of powerpoint media. The product produced as a learning medium that is used to facilitate students to learn, (2) the feasibility of power point-based learning media on Aqeedah Moral learning is done by material experts with a score of 83.33, a very valid category and a media expert with a score of 75.00 categories valid, so the cumulative score is 79.16 with a valid category, (3) practicality of power point-based learning media on Aqeedah Akhlak is done by conducting individual trials with a score of 80.83 very practical categories, small group trials with a score of 79.38 practical categories, and field group trials with a score of 89.75 very practical categories, so that when accumulated a score of 83.33 is obtained with a very practical category, and (4) the effectiveness of powerpoint-based learning media on Aqidah Moral learning in improving student learning outcomes obtained N scores -Gain 0.51 with the effective category so that it can be concluded that the powerpoint development product for learning the Morals is effective for enhancing student achievement.

Abstract

This study aims: (a) to investigate the principal's planning process in implementing school-based management at Senior High School of Dwi Warna Medan, b) to investigate the principal's implementation strategy in implementing school-based management in Dwi  Warna Medan High School, and (c) to know the form of supervision and evaluation of the principal in the application of school-based management at  Senior High School of Dwi Warna  Medan. The type of this research is field research by using qualitative methods and descriptive approach. Data collection is conducted through interviews, observations and documentation in the field by involving principals and other school residents. The results of the research indicate that: (a) The process of planning the implementation of school- based management at  Senior High School of Dwi Warna runs pretty well and is implemented by involving the committee and all other school components; (b) The principal's implementation strategy in implementing school-based management is quite well implemented, this is proven by involving all components of the school, and (c) The form of supervision and evaluation of school-based management implementation at  Senior High School of Dwi Warna runs quite well. This is evidenced by the two supervision techniques that are carried out regularly by the principal. The evaluation not only emphasizes the process of teaching and learning activities, but also considers the other necessary aspects, for example: the competence of educators, students,  infrastructure, finance and community relations.

Abstract

This study discusses about the ability to understand questions of writing scientific based on higher order thingking skill (HOTS) in SMAN 3 Medan. This type of research uses research and development in the field of education known as Research and Development (R & D). The location of this research is at SMAN 3 Medan. The research is conducted in the 2018/2019 Learning Year. The subjects in this study are 30 students  of Class X of SMAN 3 Medan. The result shows that the ability to understand the assessment instrument questions of writing scientific work based on higher order thinking, students get an average value of 71 with sufficient categories.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model towards the improvement of students' critical thinking ability in Public Senior High School 15 Banda Aceh, Indonesia. The results showed that the students' ability in answering questions before learning using the jigsaw learning model was still in the low category or the initial research proved that most students were not able to answer the questions well, so the researchers took the next action, namely learning by using a jigsaw type cooperative learning model , the results of information obtained from learning conducted before the implementation of the study, while the information from the control class is low category consisting of 3 students, while the medium category is 9 students, and while the high category there are 7 students while the information in the experimental class is low category consists of 1 student, 11 students and a high category of 8 students, which can be concluded that there are differences in students' critical thinking outcomes with the use of a jigsaw type cooperative learning model.

Abstract

Writing explanation text skills means the ability of students to express ideas, feelings, and experiences to others in writing a language that is good or contextual and true about social, natural and cultural phenomena. In relation to learning to write explanation texts, reasoning skills and socio-economic status of parents need to be considered. This study is aims to know the reasoning skills on writing explanation text skills reviewed by social economic status of parents of VIIIth grade students in junior high school 2 Raya, Simalungun District. This study is conducted by using Ex Post Facto approach. This study shows that there is a significant difference between explanation text writing skills of students who have high reasoning skills and those with low reasoning skills. It means that explanation text writing skills of students who have high reasoning skills are better results than explanation text writing skills of students who have low reasoning skills. The average score of writing skills produced by students having higher reasoning skills is higher than the explanation text writing skills of students who have low reasoning skills, that is 78.8> 73.2. Thus, in explanation text writing learning, students who have high reasoning skills are better results than students who have low reasoning skills.

Abstract

Human resources (HR) has a significant role in every activity in an institution including educational institutions. Human resources (HR) must be able to be managed or managed properly in accordance with their functions so that these human resources (HR) can play a role in accordance with their duties and functions in the institution they are in. Human resource management is a very important aspect in the education process in general. Therefore functions in the management of human resources must be carried out optimally so that the needs relating to the goals of individuals, organizations / institutions, organizations or institutions can be achieved. Besides that, with good human resource management procedures, it is expected that the shortcomings and problems faced by the Indonesian nation, which are related to competitiveness, can be overcome.

Abstract

Globalization has brought changes in all aspects of life in the political, economic, social or cultural fields. The purpose of this study is to determine the obstacles in the application of digital ethics. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data sources used were informants (Citizenship Education Teachers and students). Data collection techniques used were interviews and observation. Analysis of the data used is interactive model data analysis. The steps of the research procedure are the preparation stage, the data collection stage, the data analysis stage, and the preparation stage. The results showed that some students who at the time of their teaching and learning activities did not pay attention to the teacher, because they were playing mobile phones when teaching and learning activities applications that were opened to male students more often open games, but for female students more often open social media. The teacher also has the right policy by giving strict sanctions in the form of punishment so that students have good ethics during teaching and learning activities.

Abstract

The development of a teaching material must be based on the analysis of student needs. Development of teaching materials have to be able to answer or solve problems or difficulties in learning. This study aims to know the development of writing folk poetry teaching material according to the materials expert team with copy the master technique for seventh grade student of junior high school 1 Rantau Selatan, in Labuhan Batu District. This study was conducted by using Probability Sampling technique. The result shows that all teachers and students need modules in the learning process. Teaching material products developed in folk poetry writing materials with copy the master learning technique for seventh grade students of junior high school 1 Rantau Selatan meet the requirements and are appropriate to use based on the validation of material experts and design experts.

Abstract

Education is one of the main sectors that has been drastically affected by COVID-19 pandemic worldwide. In this paper, after providing a brief background about the global impact of Coronavirus pandemic on different spheres of life, the effect of COVID-19 on education, in general, and higher education, in particular, will be discussed. Then, different types of online educational models will be reviewed. Next, the advantages and disadvantages of face-to-face classroom instruction versus online education will be elaborated on. Finally, a model for post-pandemic higher education will be proposed and delineated.

Abstract

The problem in this study is communication within the family, specifically between fathers and young women who are not well- established. The role of mothers who tend to be considered not to facilitate the occurrence of good communication patterns between fathers and young women in the family. This study aims to describe information about the pattern of communication that exists between fathers and young women in the family, then describe the role of mothers as communication facilitators in family and to find out the results of communication patterns between fathers and young women. The theory used about "The pattern of family communication proposed by McLeon and Chafee consists of a laissez-faire, protective, pluralistic and consensual pattern". This type of research uses a pre experimental design research design in the form of one group pre test-post test. The treatment given is in the form of counseling. Samples taken as many as 42 people. Data collection tool used is a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results of descriptive statistical analysis and hypothesis testing (t- test) to determine whether there are changes before and after treatment. From the results of descriptive statistical formulas and hypothesis testing (t-test) obtained tcount = 41.496 while ttable = 1.682, then tcount = 41.496> ttable = 1.682. then the hypothesis is accepted. This proves that there is a change in the role of mothers as facilitators to improve family communication patterns in Siolip village, Barumun sub-district, Padang Lawas Regency.
