The use of the blended learning model has been done in several subjects, but for English subjects (reading) has never been done before. This research is quantitative descriptive. The research sample used a sample of 65 students through a questionnaire on students of the English language study program at Brawijaya University in academic year 2018/2019. The results showed that 81.99% agreed with the application of English reading learning based on blended learning through "absyak" media websites and the remaining 18.01% did not agree on learning English reading based on blended learning through "absyak" media websites. The implementation of online-based learning through "absyak" learning in the media can be effectively contained in high student responses, increased student scores and student attitudes towards variation and learning innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of classroom management on student learning outcomes at class five primary school numbers 066655, distrcit of Kelambir V Tanjung Gusta Medan Helvetia academic year 2019/2020. The analysis technique in this study is a simple regression technique, observing the relationship or effect between variables. The sample of this research is students of class state primary school number 066654 district of Kelambir V Tanjung Gusta Medan Helvetia, which consists of 2 classes, namely class V A totaling 28 students and class V B totaling 28 students. The total number of class V is 56 students. The variable instrument in the study is all valid, while the reliability for all variables is reliable. Based on the results of statistical analysis, it shows that simple linear regression analysis with the regression equation Y = 24.281 + 0.896X forms a linear line and coefficient of regression direction means.  The calculation result is obtained Fcount 56.912 in consultation with Ftable for an error rate of 5%, F table = 4.02. Thus Fcount > F table (56.912 > 4.02) for an error level of 5%. Based on the results of the F test calculation, Fcount is 56.912 with sig = 0.000 <0.005 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is an effect of class management (X) which is significant towards learning outcomes (Y). This means that the better the classroom management carried out by the teacher, the higher the student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning of the contribution of each independent variable (leg muscle strength, dynamic balance and hip joint flexibility) to the accuracy of football shooting and to find out how meaningful the contribution of the independent variables together to the accuracy of football shooting. This study uses a quantitative descriptive correlational approach with regression analysis design. The sample was extracurricular high school football students in Sidareja with a total of 65 from a total population of 65. Data analysis techniques used regression analysis with the help of SPSS 20. The results of the analysis showed that: (1) X1 made a significant contribution to Y. (2) X2 made a contribution which is significant to Y. (3) X3 gives a significant contribution to Y. (4) X4 gives a significant contribution to Y. In this study it can be concluded that the leg muscle strength variable contributed 22.96%, the variable of diamonic balance is 24 , 28%, the hip joint flexibility variable was 41.26%, while all the independent variables contributed 96.5% to the accuracy of football shooting.

Abstract

The benefit of studying language through pragmatics is that the people can realize the other’s meaning and the important disadvantage is that analyzing the peoples’ concepts is hard objectively. The study of pragmatics is interesting as it studies how people make sense of each other linguistically, in the same time, it can be a disappointed area of study because it needs us to make sense of people and what they have in mind.  According to Bardovi-Harlig (1991), the real responsibility of the classroom teacher is making students more aware about existing pragmatic functions in language, especially in discourse. The teachers should know about these speech acts and their elements to use the natural input for the students in a particular content, for a particular purpose, and as part of a strategy. Accordingly, the current review article aims at revealing the following; first, is pragmatics important in teaching and learning a second and foreign languages, based on this, is it a part of teaching English? Second, to show to what extent pragmatics is included in the EFL curriculums, textbooks more specifically?
