The Substitute Notary has the same authority and responsibility as the Notary being replaced. And the responsibility of the Substitute Notary remains attached even though his position has ended. Even though they have responsibilities like a notary, there are differences in terms of legal protection between Notary and Substitute Notary. This type of research is normative legal research with a state approach and a case approach. The results of this study indicate that the provisions in Article 66 Notary Position Act only provide legal protection for Notaries but do not include Substitute Notaries. Legal Protection for Substitute Notaries can be done through preventive legal protection carried out by the Substitute Notary Public himself by carrying out his/her position carefully, thoroughly and based on the Notary Position Act, code of ethics and other statutory regulations. In addition, legal protection for Substitute Notaries related to summons for the benefit of the judiciary still follows general provisions, namely through the obligation to deny and the right to deny.

Employee performance is the center of attention in all government agencies. Employee performance can be influenced by many variables such as leadership and commitment. This study aims to determine the effect of transformational leadership and commitment on the performance of the employees of the Regional Fisheries Office of Morowali District, Central Sulawesi Province. This study used quantitative methods. The population of this study was all employees of the Regional Fisheries Office of Morowali District with a total of 87 employees. The sample was determined with a census sampling technique so that all populations were sampled. Data were collected from observation, questionnaires, and written documents. Then, the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression to test the research hypotheses. The results showed that transformational leadership and commitment greatly affect the employee performance of the Regional Fisheries Office of Morowali District. The results of descriptive statistics showed that the leaders in the Regional Fisheries Office of Morowali District have a clear vision and mission; show an optimistic attitude; and can stimulate subordinates to be creative. Meanwhile, the leaders never openly corrected or criticized their subordinates. It has a low response because of the leader's closed attitude towards subordinates, especially in providing corrections and criticism. In terms of commitment, employees at this office feel that they have a high emotional bond with the organization. However, they easily leave the office as they think that what they are doing is less valuable.

From the point of view of educators, teachers and schools must pay attention to materials or provide places and books for students so that they can be comfortable in increasing their knowledge about lessons by providing books and reading places such as libraries. This study was conducted to determine the effect of interest in reading Civics textbooks on student learning outcomes at the Palangka Raya National Junior High School for the 2019/2020 academic year. This research is an exposed facto research with a quantitative approach. The research sample was Palangka Raya National Junior High School students for the 2019/2020 academic year, consisting of 24 classes of VII, VIII and IX. Collecting data using questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used is a simple regression test. The results showed that interest in reading books (X) on learning outcomes (Y) obtained the value oftcount = 3.076 with a probability value of 1.721. The probability value of t is less than the significant degree, which means that there is an influence of interest in reading Civics textbooks on the learning outcomes of Palangka Raya National Junior High School students for the 2019/2020 school year. Interest in reading books has an effect on increasing student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the coefficient of determination of interest in reading books, which is 75.29% and 24.71% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

The study is aimed to analysis the effects of taxpayer’s motivation, commitment and tax sanctions on the level of individual taxpayer’s obedience at Small & Medium-Sized Entreprises (SMEs) in Jakarta. The study used the quantitative descriptive method, a research design aimed to analyze the correlations or effects among variables by using statistic approaches and mathematic equations. The research involves the individual taxpayers whose have proffessions as Small & Medium-Sized Entreprises (SMEs) to be samples. The data collecting technique is carried out by distributing questionnaire to 200 respondents using the convenience sampling technique, in which only respondents are willing to fill out the questionnaire to be used as study samples. The hypotheses testing technique is carried out by using multiple regression method to test research hypotheses. The results indicated that either partially or simultaneously there are positive effects of taxpayer’s motivation, commitment and tax sanctions on the level of individual taxpayer’s obedience at Small & Medium-Sized Entreprises (SMEs) in Jakarta. These influences are based on the strengthening of the interrelationships among the independent variables which then increase the level of individual taxpayer’s obedience. In this case, the existence of tax sanctions increases the taxpayer’s motivation and commitment so that their level of taxpayer’s obedience increases.

The population in this study were 60 people. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, so the sample size in this study was 60 people. The data collection method used a questionnaire/questionnaire. The results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained the equation Y = 1.063 + 0.803X1 + 0.564X2 + 0.166X3. In the partial test (t test) the regression coefficient of the work supervision system variable (X1) obtained a t value of 5.707 > t table 2.003 which means that the work supervision system variable has a positive and significant effect on the employee performance variable with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05. The communication variable (X2) has a t-count value of 4.187 > t-table 2.003, which means that the communication variable has a positive and significant effect on the employee performance variable with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05. Emotional intelligence variable (X3) obtained t value of 2.105 > t table 2.003 which means that emotional intelligence variable has a positive and significant effect on employee performance variables with a significant value of 0.040 <0.05. The results of the F test obtained that the Fcount value of 56.845 > Ftable 2.77 with a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 which means that the work supervision system, communication and emotional intelligence simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The results of the coefficient of determination test indicate that the work supervision, communication and emotional intelligence system variables have an influence of 75.3% on the employee performance variable, while the remaining 24.7% is influenced by other variables outside this study.

The research objective was to examine the correlation between learning motivation and critical thinking skills. This research design was descriptive correlation research with a quantitative approach. Additionally, the research sample consisted of 72 students. The data collection technique used learning motivation questionnaires and a critical thinking ability test. The data were analyzed using Pearson product-moment correlation analysis and a simple regression test assisted by IBM SPSS 20. The results of the correlation test obtained rxy = 0.367. Therefore, it can be interpreted that the correlation category was at a low correlation level. Furthermore, using a simple linear regression test, the researchers got an R-square value = 0.135. It meant that learning motivation contributed 13.5% to critical thinking skills, with a significance through tcount (3,300) > ttable (1,994). The results showed that there was a significant correlation between critical thinking skills with learning motivation.
