This study aims to see whether the Outdoor Program Based Counseling method effectively improves interpersonal relationships between Special Assistant Teachers and Parents of Children with Special Needs. This research is quantitative research with an experimental method. Subjects in the study were divided into a control group and an experimental group. Subjects in the experimental group were 28 people. The data obtained in this study used a scale, observation, and interviews which were used as complementary data. The statistical analysis results using the Mann Whitney technique, the significance value obtained is p = 0.004, which means it is smaller than 0.05 (0.004 <0.05). From this value, it can be concluded that the Outdoor Based Counseling Program effectively improves the interpersonal relationships of special assistant teachers and parents of children with special needs in inclusive school. From the calculation of effect size, it can be concluded that the effect of Outdoor Based Counseling Program activities on improving interpersonal relationships has a moderate effect. This situation can be caused by several influencing factors such as the influence of the physical environment and nature on the activities carried out, the characteristics of the trainer or facilitator, the grasping power of the debriefing process, as well as attitude towards activities and awareness of their role as parents or teachers.

Abstract

Geographically Soropia subdistrict is located in Konawe district of southeast Sulawesi province consisting of a large quantity of coastal areas that are the site of transition between land and the ocean. This condition has indirectly affected the shape of the character of this area caused by the relocation carried out by the government in an effort to build a tourist area in pualu bokori to move the coastal settlement in the village of bajoe soropia subdistrict. This coastal settlement is a form of reflection of the sea culture attached to the bajo tribe community. One of the coastal settlements in this soropia subdistrict is a settlement in the village of Bajoe which is a coastal settlement with a constructive orientation leading to land orientation. Because of the issue, in the village of Bajo and surrounding areas there are three different site orientations in coastal areas, among others, namely: water-based architecture water buildings, semi-arir buildings that tread in the water and also land and land-based architecture land buildings. Based on the issue, in this coastal area there is a diversity of typologies which is a form of morphological transformation of the shape of the bajo house. Therefore, in this study using descriptive qualitative research methods are expected to be able to find out the variety of typologies found in the coastal settlement area of the bajo tribe in bajo village soropia subdistrict konawe district. So that  the results can be  from  this  research  can be a  new  insight  literature as well as a reference  in  consideration  in the planning of future settlements.

Abstract

Hajj guidance is a simulation activity carried out by pilgrims so that pilgrims can better prepare themselves. Even though they have carried out the guidance for Hajj, sometimes the congregation still feels that they do not understand the material they are learning and feel that they have not learned enough about the object of Hajj by using guide books, especially the practice of the Hajj. But pilgrims have not taken the guidance of other Hajj because of the cost, time and place they need. By using virtual reality based on 360-degree videos, pilgrims can understand the material better and can perform the pilgrimage independently without being hindered by time, place and cost. The research was conducted using Research and Development (R&D) research methods and then using a quantitative approach to approach the application. The instruments used in this research include material expert test sheets, media test sheets, and user usability test sheets. The results show that virtual reality (VR) based on 360-degree video is a media that is feasible to use and has very good benefits for prospective pilgrims.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of 'Experiential Learning’ (ExL) on the students’ reading comprehension at MA Nurul Islam Pungging, Mojokerto, East Java, Indonesia. The pre-experimental design was used in this study. The research samples consisted of 32 students from Class XI-IPA 2, with one representative from experimental group, chosen using a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using the t-test and the analysis test was performed using the ITEMAN software. The results showed the Sig. value of (Sig. (2-tailed)) was .003, which was less than the level of significance of .05. It was determined that the null hypothesis (Ho) was ‘rejected’, and that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was ‘accepted’. Then, it was discovered that, on average, the post-test group had a mean of 88.4, which was significantly higher than the mean of the pre-test group, which was 75.6. It has been determined that Experiential Learning (ExL) is effective in improving the students’ reading comprehension. Students’ academic performance may be improved if teachers are encouraged to use ExL to teach the concept of teaching approach. So, other researchers are suggested to investigate similar research by applying ExL in other methods and other English skills.
