Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of how the influence of knowledge management, employee involvement, and intrinsic motivation is moderated by organizational culture on employee performance. This study uses an associative quantitative approach using regression techniques. The sample of this study amounted to 199 people where the majority consisted of employees engaged in services (46.7%) and trade & manufacturing (22.1%). Research data was collected through a questionnaire instrument designed using a Likert scale which was first tested for validity and reliability. Based on the research results, there is a positive and significant influence of knowledge management and intrinsic motivation on employee performance. Otherwise, there is no positive and significant effect of employee engagement on employee performance. Meanwhile, organizational culture cannot be used as a moderating variable to improve employee performance because of the dominance of this variable on employee performance. This finding shows that if an organization wants to improve the performance of its employees, it can be done by implementing optimal knowledge management and providing consistent intrinsic motivation.

Abstract

The problem of waste management in Jambi City is still not effective and less than optimal, it can be seen that there are still many obstacles and expectations that have not been achieved from the implementation of the waste management policy. The increase in the amount of waste is in line with the increasing population growth in the Jambi City area, while the landfill area is getting narrower. Waste management carried out by the Jambi City Government from upstream to downstream which applies the 3R concept (Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle) does not run optimally due to the lack of facilities and infrastructure, so that the amount of waste generated in the landfill is increasing every year. The quality of education for apparatus resources in the relevant agencies is still low. This study uses a qualitative method with construction characteristics that are built based on natural conditions, are more descriptive, emphasizes more on the process, the analysis is done inductively, and places more emphasis on the value or meaning contained in a data or event. The results of research and discussion on the implementation of waste management policies in Jambi City, Jambi Province, from the legal basis are clearly linear from the national level to the Jambi City level, but in practice the implementation has not involved elements of the community even though Jambi City has received an award in early 2021, Jambi City in regional ranks who excel at the national level and succeeded in bringing Jambi City into the 13 regions in Indonesia that won awards in the field of waste management, the success of a policy if community elements can feel the results of the policy, in this context the researcher concludes that the policy is good but in the future it will be better Community elements must be involved as beneficiaries of waste management policies in Jambi City, Jambi Province. Researchers found a new model of this research, namely a collaborative model for handling waste, elements of the government, private sector, community, business world in waste management policies in Jambi City, Jambi Province, as a solution to solving problems in handling solid waste in Jambi City.

Abstract

Improving students' skills in writing English is considered challenging for non-native students because of their lack of knowledge in building ideas, vocabularies, and the organization of the text. Therefore, this article aims to analyze and describe whether technology-based integration can develop students’ narrative writing. The method used to analyze the text was an experimental approach with sixty students taking Writing II subject at Nommensen University Pematangsiantar, Indonesia. Thirty students involved in the experimental group were provided with the technology-based environment (HyperStudio), while the other thirty students in the control group were not. The results of the study showed there was a significant improvement in the students’ narrative writing in the experimental group. The results of the study are expected to give great insights and knowledge for creative pedagogy in the classroom. However, the researcher suggests that future studies use a larger sample with a diverse range of learning styles, age groupings, and gender. In addition, future researchers should also look into the benefits of using HyperStudio across the curriculum in Indonesia, including science, social studies, history, geography, and other subjects.

Abstract

This research explored the factors that have a significant effect on the adoption of online banking services using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) theory, both directly and moderated by financial literacy. This quantitative study used a single cross-sectional research design to collect data from 100 respondents using Google Form. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM). The results showed that the perceived usefulness directly had a positive and significant impact on the adoption of online banking services. Likewise, the perception of ease of use shows that it directly has a positive and significant effect on the adoption of online banking services. The results also prove the moderating effect of financial literacy on the correlation between predictors and adoption of online banking services. This finding serves to inform managers and policymakers to design effective strategies by capturing customers' desire to use and experience using e-banking during the COVID-19 pandemic and economic globalization.
