Abstract

This research article explores the implementation of a recitation teaching movement at TPA Darussalam Negeri Ureng in the Leihitu sub-district of Central Maluku, Indonesia. The study aims to foster empathy and concern for community issues while providing additional religious education to children in the region. The teaching methodology employed includes memorization techniques, focusing on Juz Amma and the Quran as well as understanding Quranic verses and stories. KKN students serve as assistant instructors, supporting the ustadzah in teaching recitation activities. The recitation classes take place daily from 14:00 to 16:00 WIT. The article outlines the steps involved in the implementation process, including the methods, techniques, and materials used. The results indicate that this initiative has positively influenced various aspects of the children's lives, such as increased Quranic reading and practice, improved public speaking skills during religious events, and enhanced discipline and respectful behavior in worship and social interactions. The findings suggest that recitation teaching at TPA Darussalam Negeri Ureng contributes to character formation and Islamic knowledge among the youth in the community. The implications of this research highlight the importance of incorporating such initiatives into educational programs to further promote moral values, Islamic teachings, and community engagement among young individuals. Abstract

Enhancing digital technology education for school children has become imperative in the rapidly evolving digital era. This abstract provides an overview of the importance of digital technology education, outlining its goals, benefits, and implementation approaches. It emphasizes the need to equip children with the necessary skills and knowledge to responsibly and effectively navigate the digital realm. The role of educators in designing directed and innovative learning experiences using digital technology is discussed, along with the significance of collaborative learning, creativity, and problem-solving in a technological context. Moreover, this abstract underscores the importance of integrating digital ethics, online security awareness, and privacy protection within digital technology education. Abstract

This scientific article presents the outcomes of a real work lecture, known as KKN, conducted by students from Pattimura University in Assilulu Village, Maluku Tengah. The objective of the study was to contribute to environmental preservation and human resource development by focusing on the planting of hybrid coconut seeds. The study employed a method involving the purchase of 20 coconut seedlings from local communities, which were then planted in vacant land owned by Assilulu Village, specifically in front of SD Negeri 170 Assilulu. The implementation of this initiative occurred on May 11, 2023, as part of the KKN program. The results of the study indicate that the community of Assilulu, with its abundant natural resources, can benefit from the maximization of these resources. The planting of hybrid coconut seedlings not only provides valuable insights into their cultivation but also contributes to the enhancement of human resources in Assilulu Village, thus achieving a balance between natural resources and human capital. This research highlights the importance of sustainable environmental practices and the cultivation of high-quality human resources in rural communities. It has implications for community-based initiatives aiming to promote environmental sustainability and human resource development in similar contexts. Abstract

This research investigates the effectiveness of the Real Work Lecture (KKN) program in increasing political awareness and participation among rural communities in Asilulu, Indonesia. The study aims to address the lack of political education and the prevalence of electoral fraud and voter apathy in the region. Through a community-based approach, the KKN program implemented various methods such as counseling, training, socialization, and group assistance. The study utilized qualitative data collected from government officials and community members, indicating a positive response and high active participation. The results highlight the success of the program in promoting a positive political narrative and combating practices such as money politics and abstention. The implications of this study contribute to the development of effective strategies for political education and encourage greater citizen engagement in political processes. Abstract

This article presents a case study conducted at SMA Negeri 45 Maluku Tengah, Indonesia, focusing on the implementation of an educational and counselling program aimed at increasing legal awareness among high school students. The study utilized a participatory action research approach, with KKN (Community Service Program) undertaken by students from Universitas Pattimura. The research objectives were to develop students' understanding of the importance of education and counselling in promoting legal awareness, shape their attitudes towards law compliance, and motivate them to achieve their aspirations. Through the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical engagement, the program aimed to instill a sense of responsibility and prevent negative behaviors and exposure to harmful influences. The findings indicated that the program successfully increased legal awareness among the students, resulting in improved behavior, mental resilience, intellectual growth, and emotional well-being. This study highlights the significance of education and counselling initiatives in cultivating legal consciousness among high school students, serving as a guide for educators and relevant stakeholders. The implications of this research emphasize the need for further exploration and implementation of similar programs to foster positive attitudes towards the law and encourage personal development among youth, ultimately contributing to a just and law-abiding society. Indonesia is a country that is based on law, therefore all citizens in it are obliged to comply with existing laws, and have the right to receive legal protection in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Awareness of the law among high school students, so that it can motivate and become an image for students to avoid negative traits and avoid promiscuity. thereby increasing the spirit in terms of mental, intellectual and emotional. Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of community service activities as part of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education) by lecturers, focusing on legal counseling on Islamic law for female inmates at Class II A Tembilahan Penitentiary. The research employs a direct field approach, offering lectures related to Islamic law and providing counseling opportunities. It spans over a period from January 2023 to March 2023. The findings indicate a noticeable increase in legal awareness and a potential for assimilation among female convicts, contributing to their mental development and promoting repentance. These measures are anticipated to result in a deterrent effect, preventing the recurrence of past transgressions. The implications of this research underline the crucial role of academic involvement in penitentiaries, specifically highlighting the impact of integrating the teaching of Islamic law into the rehabilitation of female convicts. Highlights: Implementation of legal counseling by academic lecturers contributes significantly to the increase of legal awareness among female inmates at Class II A Tembilahan Penitentiary. Lectures on Islamic law over a three-month period contributed to noticeable mental development and a sense of repentance among the inmates. The integration of academic community services in penitentiaries presents a potential deterrent effect and reduces the chances of inmates repeating past transgressions. Abstract

This scientific article presents a community engagement initiative aimed at improving the local economy and promoting sustainable practices in the rural village of Kebaron, Indonesia. The study focuses on harnessing the potential of the abundant red guava fruit through the application of Green Productivity (GP) principles. The research team conducted a series of activities, including problem identification, potential product analysis, training sessions on red guava derivative production, and environmental education. The results demonstrated the successful development of innovative red guava derivative products such as red guava ice cream, leather, and juice. By involving the community and promoting environmentally friendly production techniques, the project contributed to the establishment of a sustainable and eco-conscious local industry. The findings highlight the importance of integrating GP concepts into rural communities, providing valuable insights for global researchers and professionals in the field of sustainable production and community empowerment. Abstract

This scientific article presents the outcomes of a community engagement program conducted in collaboration with SD Muhammadiyah 01 Candi Labschool UMSIDA in Sidoarjo District, Indonesia. The program aimed to enhance the knowledge and practices of 22 regular teachers, 8 shadow teachers, and 3 educational staff members regarding early detection and intervention strategies for elementary school children, particularly those with special needs. The program, led by the Department of Physiotherapy and Primary School Teacher Education at Muhammadiyah University Sidoarjo, utilized a two-way lecture method, demonstrations with visual media, and mentorship in creating visually-based learning models. The program successfully increased the participants' understanding of stimulation, early detection, and the importance of attention to the learning needs of children with special needs through visual-based learning models. The evaluation of the program's effectiveness and satisfaction levels was conducted throughout its implementation, with the opportunity to modify methods if deemed ineffective. The implications of this community engagement initiative are relevant to professionals and researchers in the field of inclusive education worldwide, providing valuable insights for enhancing educational practices and fostering the development of diverse learners in elementary school settings. Abstract

This study focuses on the development of 5E-Based Flipped classroom Teaching Model Templates for STEM education. The aim is to assess the validity and reliability of the model across its content and construct validity. The findings suggest that the 5E-Based Flipped classroom Model for STEM Learning exhibits strong validity and reliability. The model is well-developed, supported by theory, effectively planned and implemented, and reliable in measuring the desired outcomes in STEM education. These results provide valuable insights for educators and researchers interested in adopting the 5E-Based Flipped classroom Model for STEM Learning in their educational settings. By utilizing these templates, educators can enhance their teaching practices and facilitate engaging and effective learning experiences for students in STEM subjects. Researchers can also benefit from these findings to further investigate the impact and effectiveness of the model in different educational contexts. Abstract

Tambak Asri Village, which is located in Morokrembangan Village, Surabaya City, some of its people have problems in community welfare. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve community welfare through providing knowledge about making milkfish crackers. The method used in this community service activity is divided into two stages. The first stage is to communicate with abdimas partners regarding fish crackers making activities. The second stage is to explain the formulation and processing of milkfish into cracker products. The result of this community service activity is the increase in knowledge of how to process milkfish into fish crackers products. Highlights: Enhanced welfare: The community service activity aims to improve the welfare of Tambak Asri Village residents through knowledge sharing on milkfish cracker production. Two-stage method: The activity involves communication with abdimas partners and providing explanations on the formulation and processing of milkfish for cracker production. Increased knowledge: The outcome of the community service activity is an increased understanding among participants on how to process milkfish into fish cracker products.
