Background: Public perception is vital for government trust and communication. Specific Background: Protests by waste collectors in Sidoarjo impacted the government's image due to controversial waste management fees. Knowledge Gap: Few studies explore the role of government communication in shaping public perception during local policy protests. Aims: This study analyzes the Sidoarjo Communication Office's efforts to maintain a positive image post-protests. Results: The office's inadequate response, especially its failure to engage protestors, worsened negative media coverage. Novelty: The study underscores the importance of transparent crisis communication. Implications: Local governments must strengthen communication strategies to manage public sentiment and maintain credibility during crises. The general background family Hope Program (PKH) represents a significant initiative aimed at reducing poverty through conditional cash transfers to very poor households, initiated in 2007. Specific background however, while many countries have adopted similar strategies, the effective implementation of such programs in rural contexts often faces numerous challenges. Knowledge gap This study specifically investigates the implementation of PKH in Gempol Village, addressing the knowledge gap regarding community attitudes and the practical obstacles that impede program success. Aims aim of this research is to analyze the barriers faced by stakeholders and participants in the execution of PKH. Results Findings reveal that successful implementation depends on enhanced coordination among government officials, program coordinators, and beneficiaries, as well as the necessity for ongoing education to ensure participants comprehend the requirements for enrollment in the program.The novelty of this research lies in its focus on financial management skills, which are often overlooked but crucial for effective fund utilization among beneficiaries.The implications of this study underscore the importance of strengthening communication among stakeholders and providing targeted educational interventions, ultimately contributing to the sustainability and effectiveness of the PKH initiative and similar community development programs in rural settings. Highlights: Coordination between stakeholders is crucial for successful program execution. Continuous education is needed for participants to understand requirements. Background: Effective communication is essential for nurturing children's moral development, particularly in orphanages. Specific Background: This qualitative study investigates communication dynamics between four caregivers and 19 children at the Muhammadiyah Pagesangan Orphanage in Surabaya. Knowledge Gap: Limited research exists on communication methods used in orphanages, especially for children from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Aims: The study aims to analyze communication patterns in moral guidance within the orphanage. Results: Findings indicate that children employ both primary and secondary communication methods to connect with distant parents, facing challenges such as limited phone access and socio-economic barriers. Novelty: This research highlights unique communication challenges in orphanages and proposes that effective communication fosters a nurturing environment. Implications: By promoting a loving communication atmosphere, caregivers can enhance children's emotional well-being and moral development, suggesting that communication is crucial for effective caregiving practices in orphanage settings. The general background stunting is a major health issue that threatens the quality of human resources in Indonesia. Specific background posyandu cadres play a crucial role in disseminating health information and educating mothers to prevent and reduce stunting in communities. Knowledge Gap: While previous research has focused on general health initiatives, there is limited evidence on the specific role of posyandu cadres in reducing stunting in rural areas. Aims this study to examine the role of posyandu cadres in reducing stunting rates in the local community. Results the findings demonstrate that posyandu cadres have successfully carried out their role by conducting regular health programs such as providing supplementary food, vitamin A, blood supplements for pregnant women, and monitoring child growth. These efforts have contributed to a steady decrease in stunting rates. Factors influencing the success of the programs include the knowledge and active participation of trained cadres, high community involvement, and support from local health workers and officials. Novelty this study highlights the importance of community-based health initiatives and posyandu programs in addressing stunting, emphasizing the need for well-trained cadres in achieving long-term health outcomes. Implication the research underscores the importance of continuing support for posyandu cadres through training and resources to further improve public health and reduce stunting rates in other regions. Background: Direct Cash Assistance from village funds (BLT DD) is vital for supporting rural communities, particularly during economic challenges. Specific background: Since 2020, Desa Gelam has allocated funds for BLT DD, making it a relevant case for examining program implementation. Knowledge gap: Limited research exists on the detailed execution and impact of BLT DD at the village level. Aims: This study analyzes the implementation of BLT DD in Desa Gelam, focusing on the roles of village officials and the importance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for transparency. Results: Findings reveal that clear SOPs enhance the effective distribution of aid, with significant contributions from the village head and welfare officer, aligning with Edward III’s theory of communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. Novelty: This research offers insights into how structured procedures improve social aid program execution, emphasizing village leadership. The general background stunting is a health problem that can reduce the quality of human resources, and the role of posyandu is very important in its management. Specific background this research focuses on Wunut Village in Porong District, where the prevalence of stunting is a major concern. Knowledge Gap: Although many studies on stunting exist, the specific role of posyandu in the local context has been less explored. Aims this study to analyze the role of posyandu in reducing the prevalence of stunting in Wunut Village. Results this study posyandu as a motivator, facilitator, and mobilizer in increasing community awareness and access to health services related to stunting. Posyandu has successfully invited the community to actively participate in health activities and provided services such as growth monitoring and distribution of nutritional supplements. Novelty this research highlights the tangible contributions of posyandu in the local context, providing new insights into community-based approaches to addressing stunting. Implications these findings indicate the importance of strengthening posyandu as a health institution in stunting reduction efforts and the need for continuous support from the government and community to enhance the effectiveness of health programs. Background: Posyandu (integrated health service posts) are vital for maternal and child health. Specific Background: This study explores the role of Posyandu cadres in health promotion and community empowerment in a local village. Knowledge Gap: Previous research has highlighted the importance of these cadres, but their contributions to community mobilization and stunting prevention remain underexplored. Aims: The research aims to examine the functions of Posyandu cadres in health education and community engagement. Results: Findings indicate that cadres act primarily as health educators and community mobilizers, utilizing tools like the KIA (Child Identity Card) and KMS (Healthy Growth Monitoring Card) for health information dissemination. However, their active involvement and local capacity-building efforts need improvement.
