Abstract

Language is the most effective tool in the delivery of the message to others or hearer. The use  of  language  in  the  conversation  appears  a  message  which  is  conveyed  to  the opponent's speakers said. Conversations involving speakers and hearer will bring up the code-switching and code-mixing. These codes appear in  the conversation conducted by University  students  that  occurred  in  Pekalongan  University  library.  There  are  many factors  that  affect  the  transfer  of  those  codes.  The  factors  that  cause  dominant  code- switching in conversation at the library of the Pekalongan University are that the hearer factors and subject. Meanwhile, the dominant linguistic elements of code-mixing obtained in the conversation in the library of the Pekalongan University is the intangible elements of the inserted words and inserted phrases.  Keywordsi: code-switching, code-mixing and conversation

Abstract

This  study  entitled  "Motivation  of  Social  Mobility  in  the  novel  The  Great  Gatsby  by.  F.  Scott Fitzgerald".  The  author  is  interested  in  researching  the  novel  because  there  is  social  mobilit  y  reflected  through  the  character,  Jay  Gatsby.  The  purpose  of  this  study  is  to  reveal  forms  of  social mobility and motivation of character; To achieve the goals, the authors used a combined approach of structural  and  sociological  approach  to  literature.  The  structural  approach  used  to  assess  the intrinsic aspects of the novel, character and background, while the sociological approach to literature using  the  theory  of  social  mobility  to  assess  the  social  mobility  of  the  character‟  motivation  to improve and maintain his social class. In this novel, there is found kind of social mobility that done Jay  Gatsby. It is vertical social  mobility.  Vertical social  mobility  is  divided into  two  forms,  upward and downward. Vertical social mobility, up from the characters increase the level of the economy and increase social class through work and marriage. There are some motivation behind social mobility such as increasing and maintaining social class. Social mobility that occurs in the novel The Great Gatsby become an author's ideas reflect author‟s the social conditions. Through his ideas, the author intends to criticize how the importance of social class and social conditions of 1920s America while experiencing economic growth that brings influence to the people in hedonism and consumerism. So they do their social mobility in order to increase their economy level by the end justify the means.Keywords: novel, structural approach, sociology of literature, social mobility

Abstract

Reading is  a  complex cognitive  process of  decoding symbols in  order  to  construct  or  derive meaning (reading comprehension). It is a means of language acquisition, of communication, and of sharing information and ideas. Like all language, it is a complex interaction between the  text  and  the  reader  which  is  shaped  by  the  reader’s  prior  knowledge,  experiences, attitude,  and  language  community  which  is  culturally  and  socially  situated.  The  reading process requires continuous practice, development, and refinement. Key words: cognitive process, prior knowledge, complex interaction between the text and the reader

Abstract

Defamation  offense  against  God  (blasphemy)  of  the  Criminal  Code  has  not  been  set  explicitly, however, for the implementation of the actions that occur can be constructed in Article 156 and Article 156a of the Criminal Code. But the concept of the 2012 Criminal Code offense of contempt of  God  (Blasphemy)  has  set  out  clear.  In  some  foreign  countries  there  are  clearly  formulate Blasphemy in its penal code (as in the Netherlands, Finland), but also there are not formulating defamation  offense  against  God  (blasphemy)  explicitly,  as  in  Belgium,  Brunei  Darussalam, however  blasphemous  offense  can  still  criminalized  through  article  humiliation  /  desecration  of religious life. Keywords: crime, blasphemy.

Abstract

The  capital  market  is  a  source  of  business  financing  and  investment  alternatives  in  the  securities sector. There are some anomalies that occur when the stock traded in the secondary market. When stock prices in the secondary market is higher than the stock price on the primary market, and there was a positive initial return (underpricing), the inverse is negative initial return (overpricing). The purpose  of  this  study  was  to  determine  the  influence  is  there  any  financial  information  and  non- financial  to  the  initial  return  on  the  IPO  companies  listed  in  Indonesia  Stock  Exchange.  The population in this study is a company doing an IPO and listed on the Stock Exchange. Samples were taken  using  purposive  sampling  method  on  the  company's  IPO  in  2008-2010.  Method  of  data collection  methods  documentation.  This  study  uses  descriptive  analysis  and  multiple  regression analysis.The  results  showed  that  the  financial  information  for  the  company  size,  profitability influential and non-financial information significant effect on initial returns. Abstract

This  study  aimed  to  determine  the  effect  of  the  differences  and  optimal  salinity  levels  on  the efficiency  of  feed  utilization  in  Oreochromis  sp.  Method  used  in  this  study  is  the  experimental laboratory methods. Research carried out by completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3  replications. The  treatment  includes  a  treatment  with  0  ppt  salinity,  Treatment  B:  5  ppt, Treatment C: 10 ppt, Treatment D: 15 ppt.Differences in the low salinity culture media failed to give a positive response to the efficiency of feed utilization of fish seed is cultivated. Decreasing salinity is used, it will affect the efficiency of feed utilization of tilapia seed. In the C treatment (10 ppt  salinity)  gives  the  maximum  response  to  the  efficiency  of  feed  utilization    Oreochromis  sp. which,  at  85.95%  followed  by  treatment  D  (74.26%),  treatment  B  (58.68%)  and  treatment A (48.49%). Treatment differences in salinity media on the efficiency of feed utilization Oreochromis s.  produces a quadratic curve with equation Y = 45.69 + 5.37 X - 0.22 X2. Water quality of the media during the study the water temperature is 25 - 28oC, pH 7.3, and DO from 4.5 to 5.6 ppm, so it is still within the range appropriate for the survival of Oreochromis sp. Keywords: salinity, the efficiency of feed utilization

Abstract

This  study  aims  to  mngetahui  legal  aspects  of  the  practice  of  fishery  agreements  for fishing boats in Pekalongan. This study uses a socio-juridical approach (non dokrinal) or empirical (socio legal research), the research took place in the area of Pekalongan. Data was collected through field studies and literature in order to obtain primary data and secondary data. Analysis of the data used is qualitative analysis. After the analysis we  concluded  that  the  implementation  of  the  agreement  for  fisheries  fishing  vessels conducted  orally  with  the  principle  of  kinship  and  trust  with  the  presentation  in  the distribution system as a result of the arrest results in sales. Issues arising in relation to socio-economic development of the communities and natural factors, thus affecting the incomeoffishermen.         Keywords: practice, agreement for fishery products, fishing boat.
