Abstract

The purpose of this study explains the effectiveness of the student activity sheet model to enhance scientific creativity and student learning outcomes and student responses to the learning process. The research design used pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The study's subject was the student activity sheet (SAS) model and the implementation of primary teacher Education undergraduate students who programed a science introductory concept course during the 2019.1 registration at Open University. Data collected using test methods and questionnaires with product cognitive test instruments, cognitive process tests, scientific creativity tests and student questionnaire responses. Data analyzed by t-test and the proportions calculated. Normality test and homogeneity test are done before the t-test is applied. Increased creativity and student learning outcomes are calculated using normalized N-Gain. The results showed: 1) Improvement of students' scientific creativity after joining learning in the medium category. 2) Improving student learning outcomes after participating in learning in the good category. 3) Student responses to the learning process in the positive category. Based on the above, it can be concluded that the application of student activity sheet model used in learning activities to improve scientific creativity competency and student learning outcomes is effective.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of simple KIT-based media in improving student learning achievement in dynamic electricity material. The sample used was the students of class grade 12 of IPA-3 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Mojokerto, totaling 35 students. The type of research used is research development (Research and Development). The research data were obtained from questionnaire responses during learning and the results of the pre-test and post-test. The questionnaire's responses were as many as 85.14% of students who thought that the development of KIT-based learning media was very effective in using dynamic electricity learning. Moreover, as many as 14.85% think that KIT-based learning media is creative and interactive learning and is an additional supplement in the teaching and learning process. From the test results given to students, there was a significant increase in students' achievements. This indicator can be seen from the t count value is smaller than the t table (t count <t table), then H1 (learning with media treatment) can be applied in learning. Another indicator is that the value of p-value is smaller than alpha 5% (0.05) Ho (learning without treatment) is rejected, so it is concluded that there is a significant increase between learning outcomes before using Simple KIT-based media after implementing learning media using simple KIT

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the lecturer' perspectives during COVID-19 pandemic in higher education. The participants have consisted of 8 from various universities in Indonesia. In this study, researchers chose narrative analysis as a research approach. A narrative analysis was used to explore lecturer perspectives or views on e-learning based on the practices, challenges, and prospects during COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the lecturers' perspective, the researchers concluded that online learning applications are beneficial for some lecturers to deliver lecture material without face to face, although there are some obstacles such as inadequate internet access. Some campuses provide self-developed applications to facilitate teaching lecturers and provide access to students to study lecture material. Some teachers also used online learning service provider applications or third parties such as Youtube, Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom and other online applications. Overall lecturers in universities can use existing learning applications. Efforts are needed to develop further, train, and improve infrastructure facilities to support online learning in the future. Online learning has high prospects and potential to be applied due to its extremely related to technological developments and ever-changing times wherever everything is quick and economical.

Abstract

This exploration study inspects the perspectives of Indonesian junior high school students towards learning courses amid Coronavirus (COVID-19). Secondary students were overviewed to discover their viewpoints about online training in Indonesia. The discoveries of the investigation featured that web-based learning cannot create wanted outcomes in immature nations like Indonesia, where a larger part of understudies cannot get to the web because of specialized just as money-related issues. The absence of eye-to-eye connection with the educator, reaction time and nonattendance of conventional homeroom socialization were among some different issues featured by advanced education understudies.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a direct learning model with a life-based learning approach that is feasible, practical, and effective to improve the learning outcomes of students at Morris Sidoarjo. This research method uses the Dick and Carey development model with the one-group pretest-posttest design research design. The data collection process was carried out using observation, questionnaires, and giving tests to students. The research instruments obtained were student activity questionnaires, student response questionnaires, learning observation sheets, and student learning outcomes tests. The sample of this research is 20 students at the Morris Sidoarjo course. The research indicated that the direct learning model with a life-based learning approach was practical in its use to improve course participants' learning outcomes at Morris Sidoarjo in the Yogyakarta, which was shown by the excellent category of learning and activity of students. Second, the direct learning model with a life-based learning approach is effective in improving the learning outcomes of course participants at Morris Sidoarjo in the Yogyakarta, which is shown by the results of the calculation of the N-Gain test showing an increase in learning outcomes with a value of 0.8 in the high category. From these results, the model built with a life-based learning approach can be implied as an alternative and reference for developing learning models in course institutions.
