Abstract

The trumpet instrument is one of the instruments that was studied in depth at the Music Study Program, Faculty of Performing Arts, Yogyakarta Indonesian Art Institute. The trumpet instrument course is divided into six classes, namely intermediate instruments I, II, III and advanced instruments I, II, III. Each of these practical lecture meetings has maximum stages and targets to be able to play the trumpet instrument correctly. Several stages begin with understanding the basic techniques correctly and must be mastered by students taking trumpet instrument classes. The formulation of the problem that will be discussed is what problems are experienced by students if they do not apply basic techniques correctly and what the results are if the implementation of the basic techniques of the trumpet instrument is carried out correctly by music study program students. The methodology used is a qualitative method with a case study approach, a case study is a research strategy in which researchers carefully investigate a program, event, activity, process or group of individuals with data collection techniques in the form of observation, literature study, interviews, documentation, then analyzed. the result. In the classroom process of trumpet practice lectures, mastering the correct basic techniques is the first key to maximizing trumpet play. From a technical point of view, it will produce a good tone color, so that when you continue to the next stages, such as long tones, scales, arpegio, etude or song material that is suitable for each class level, you can blow casually more easily and can participate in practical class materials to the fullest. So in this study describes the process of implementing the correct basic techniques in preparing the quality of a professional trumpet player with maximum sound of trumpet instruments.

Abstract

Pembelajaran solfegio menengah III adalah salah satu mata kuliah wajib di Prodi Musik, FSP, ISI Yogyakarta. Proses pembelajaran solfegio mempunyai target yang jelas disusun didalam RPS yaitu dengan tujuan agar mahasiswa dapat menguasai pendengaran terhadap bunyi dan paham akan jenis nada-nadanya sehingga dapat menuliskan nada tersebut ke dalam notasi balok. Proses pembelajaran ini terhambat karena adanya musibah pandemi covid-19, sehingga perkuliahan dilaksanakan secara daring dan strategi pembelajaran yang menjadi solusi dalam melaksanakan perkuliahan ini seperti menyajikan materi pembelajaran serta cara berkomunikasi perkuliahan dengan mahasiswa secara online berbantukan teknologi dengan menggunakan media-media pembelajaran yang mendukung. Rumusan masalah yang dibahas ialah apa media pembelajaran solfegio yang digunakan dimasa pandemi covid-19 serta bagaimana hasil nilai mahasiswa dari strategi pembelajaran ini. Metodologi yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penulis menyelidiki dengan cermat suatu program pembelajaran, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dokumentasi, kemudian hasil temuan dianalisis. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam tulisan artikel ini mahasiswa sudah menjalani proses pembelajaran di masa pandemi covid-19 ini berbantukan teknologi dan perkuliahan online juga lancar, nilai semester mata kuliah solfegio mahasiswa masih dalam posisi bagus dan mahasiswa dapat naik ke tahap level solfegio selanjutnya.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the lecturer' perspectives during COVID-19 pandemic in higher education. The participants have consisted of 8 from various universities in Indonesia. In this study, researchers chose narrative analysis as a research approach. A narrative analysis was used to explore lecturer perspectives or views on e-learning based on the practices, challenges, and prospects during COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the lecturers' perspective, the researchers concluded that online learning applications are beneficial for some lecturers to deliver lecture material without face to face, although there are some obstacles such as inadequate internet access. Some campuses provide self-developed applications to facilitate teaching lecturers and provide access to students to study lecture material. Some teachers also used online learning service provider applications or third parties such as Youtube, Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom and other online applications. Overall lecturers in universities can use existing learning applications. Efforts are needed to develop further, train, and improve infrastructure facilities to support online learning in the future. Online learning has high prospects and potential to be applied due to its extremely related to technological developments and ever-changing times wherever everything is quick and economical.

Abstract

Musik liturgi merupakan suatu musik gereja yang penting dalam peribadatan. Musik liturgi memiliki aturan tersendiri yang tidak dapat dimainkan secara sembarangan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti berfokus meneliti tim musik & song leader gereja GBKP Yogyakarta yang dalam hal ini masih perlunya penjelasan unsur-unsur liturgi untuk memahami makna unsur musik liturgi ibadah gereja dengan baik. Proses dalam penelitian ini akan fokus dalam melihat proses hasil implementasi terkait pemahaman unsur-unsur musik liturgi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman akan makna unsur-unsur liturgi serta musik liturgi dalam mengekspresikan iringan musik dan memimpin nyanyian dalam ibadah dibagian unsur-unsur liturgi. Metodologi yang digunakan ialah penelitian dan pengembangan atau research and development (R&D)- deskriptif, sehingga diharapkan rangkaian proses atau langkah-langkah dalam rangka mengembangkan akan suatu pemaknaan unsur-unsur liturgi dan dapat diimplementasikan dalam melayani sebagai pemusik dan song leader. Dengan metode ini, peneliti menyelidiki dengan cermat suatu peristiwa, proses, program, aktivitas sekelompok individu dengan cara observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data, selanjutnya hasilnya dianalisis. Hasil penelitian ini ialah para pelayan musik dan song leader memahami dengan baik terkait tata cara mengiringi lagu-lagu dan memimpin nyanyian sesuai tatanan alur ibadah liturgi setiap minggunya dan tim menguasai makna unsur liturgi dan mengimplementasikannya kedalam iringan musik dan nyanyian sesuai dengan tujuan musik liturgi dengan baik.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses transformasi yang terjadi pada musik iringan peribadatan serta untuk mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan iringan musik peribadatan di Gereja Methodist Indonesia Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori transformasi menurut Antoniades (1992) yang menejalaskan bahwa transformasi merupakan proses perubahan secara berangsur dalam pencapaian tahap perhentian yang terakhir. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses transformasi akan terus berlangsung mengikuti perkembangan gereja, situasi, dan kondisi sosial gereja. Gereja mengimani bahwa melalui proses transformasi, Tuhan akan menolong untuk mencapai tujuan transformasi. Tuhan akan memberkati setiap usaha yang dilakukan gereja dalam transformasi. The Transformation of Music Accompaniment in Worship at Methodist Church Yogyakarta The purpose of this research is to find out the transformation process that occurs in worship music accompaniment and to find out the obstacles faced in the implementation of worship music accompaniment at the Indonesian Methodist Church Yogyakarta. This research uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interview, and literature study. The theory used in this research is the theory of transformation according to Antoniades (1992) which explains that transformation is a process of gradual change in achieving the last stop stage. The results of this study show that the transformation process will continue to take place following the development of the church, the situation, and the social conditions of the church. The church believes that through the transformation process, God will help to achieve the goal of transformation. God will bless every effort made by the church in transformation.

Abstract

The ISI Yogyakarta music study program currently refers more to the study of art. This resulted in a reduction in the study period for major instruments for students to 3 semesters. The music study program which focuses more on music studies targets students to become researchers and writers, so that the ability to play music is not too much considered when selecting new student admissions. Many students have shifted their instrument focus to other instruments they are not good at. The author focuses on saxophone instrument students class of 2022, most of whom experience this. This study aims to observe and describe the strategies and learning processes for the saxophone instrument course for students of the ISI Yogyakarta music study program class of 2022. The method used is qualitative-descriptive, with data collection through direct observation and interviews with students and supporting lecturers. Several lists of questions have been prepared and will serve as a tool for data collection. The author also made direct observations of the learning process carried out by lecturers and students in the saxophone instrument course. The research findings regarding the learning strategies applied are the design of a new syllabus consisting of several points to be presented to students as well as the establishment of good relationships and interactions between students and lecturers to create a comfortable learning atmosphere. The syllabus refers to the old syllabus which was previously carried out for 6 semesters, but now it is condensed into 3 semesters.

Abstract

Tujuan: Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengaruh selera musik terhadap peningkatan kehadiran di Gereja Grace Community Church yang terletak di kota Yogyakarta, D.I. Provinsi Yogyakarta. Peneliti menemukan seorang tokoh agama dan seluruh jamaah sebagai partisipan atau narasumber dalam penelitian ini. Metode penelitian: peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan naratif. Hasil dan pembahasan: Inti permasalahan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh selera musik terhadap kenyamanan jemaah di Gereja Grace Community. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melanjutkan semua penelitian yang telah membahas tentang musik gereja, namun belum ada penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai hubungan selera musik dengan tingkat kenyamanan jemaah di dalam gereja. Implikasi: penelitian ini dilakukan dengan harapan dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi bagi gereja dan menjadi dasar penelitian selanjutnya terkait musik gereja.
