Abstract

Internalization and actualization of the values of the Al-Qur'an on the functions of a leader are considered not urgent, of course it is a group or group thought that does not understand Islam in a kaffah (comprehensive) manner. If we examine the Qur'an comprehensively, of course, it does not only study the faith and ubudiyah, but all aspects of life including those related to the functions and duties of leaders. Thus, the values and principles of leadership function contained in the Al-Qur'an must serve as the main guide in his leadership. The importance of the actualization of Al-Qur'an values for the function of a leader lies in the goal of human creation. Thus, it is considered important to actualize the values of the Al-Qur'an on the function of the leader in carrying out his functions and duties. Among the functions of a leader as hinted at in the Al-Qur'an are establishing prayers, welfare for the weak, cooperation in increasing faith, piety and good deeds, preventing munkar, upholding justice and truth, enforcing deliberation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the degraded understanding of partitions among the younger generation as a form of politeness in building student character. The research method is qualitative and descriptive with data collection techniques in the form of listening and recording 20 class XII students of Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ahliyah Aek Badak. In addition, to confirm the data, interviews were also conducted as data validation with three informants. The results showed that based on test results, out of 67 speeches, not all students were able to answer half of the 67 speeches. This confirms and proves that there has been a degradation in students' understanding of class names which will automatically affect the way they behave in society in everyday life. The values of character education that are expected to be instilled starting from mutual cooperation, togetherness, rights and obligations, tolerance, compassion, and holong, so that kinship is maintained properly have not all been implemented because of the understanding of the naming of the partutoron of the students being tested. It's not finished yet, so it takes a shared responsibility to fix it.

Abstract

The development of civilization does not mean ending the need for spirituality. The development of technology and the increasingly independent human life does not mean that the presence of God is not a necessity. Even amidst the increasingly glamorous millennial life, the need for spirituality is increasing. Islamic pop culture is followed by a religious spirit that is increasingly becoming the keyword and nowadays the need for spirituality is even more visible. In the midst of the aridity of worldly life, Sufism is an alternative answer by some classes of Muslim society. This research tries to explore how the development of urban Sufism is currently developing in our society. This type of research is literary research (library). Primary and secondary data sources are used as data. The results of the study show that the identity of middle-class Muslims in urban areas is experiencing a new chapter in the world of Sufism. Precisely after the New Order, along with the flow of globalization that gave birth to modernism, the urban middle-class Muslim Sufism movement appeared as the antithesis of the previously established conventional tarekat movement.

Abstract

Kuntowijoyo is widely-known in Indonesia as the propagator of pengilmuan Islam discourse, which he declared as an alternative discourse from the Islamization of knowledge that he sees as trivial and reactive. In this article, we would like to assess Kuntowijoyo’s comprehension of Islamization of knowledge to analyze the relevance of pengilmuan Islam as his alternative proposal to it, from his own words with references to primary and secondary references, and contrast it with the actual proposal of Islamization of knowledge from its original thinkers. The result is that while Kuntowijoyo openly declares his opposition to the term, he still acknowledges the need for the Islamization of knowledge in certain key parts of his writings while still being polemical. This article unveils his true view on the Islamization of knowledge and the problem lies with his understanding of the discourse, which is significant to the consequences in Islamic education that his discourse will lead to a false sense of Islamic development in knowledge

Abstract

Research on the moral values of Javanese culture needs to be done because this study it will reveal and explain various kinds of Javanese culture, especially the culture which has moral values in it. For some people, culture is only a tradition left by their ancestors, then passed down from generation to generation, and needs to be preserved. Yet every Javanese culture has its own history, meaning, and value. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method. The approach used is the library research approach or the library method. Javanese culture is a culture originating from Java. If we go back to history, of course, Javanese culture is not far from the influence of Hinduism, animism, and dynamism. Some Javanese cultures that still exist today are used by the community: salametan, tedak siten, wayang, manners, bancaan weton, politeness, and many more. Among all Javanese cultures, some of them have moral values. This is what needs to be applied and maintained by every parent in educating children's morals. Besides introducing Javanese culture to children. Parents have invited their children to maintain Javanese culture through Javanese cultural moral values. By implementing character education through Javanese culture, then we have preserved Javanese culture and practiced moral values in it in everyday life. Â
