Abstract

Social studies subjects in grade IV of SDN 2 Tanjunggunung face the problem of low interest and student learning outcomes. Students tend to be passive in learning because of the teacher-centered approach. This study applies the Cooperative Script learning model to overcome these problems. Classroom Action Research was conducted during the 2024/2025 semester involving 20 grade IV students. The implementation of the research uses two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection through observation, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis used descriptive techniques with a percentage formula. In the first cycle, teacher activity reached 77.08%, student learning interest 70.75%, and learning outcomes 75.9%. Cycle II showed an increase in teacher activity of 100%, student learning interest of 84.25%, and learning outcomes of 85.1%. Students become more active in asking questions, confidently answering, and able to work well together. Cooperative Script is proven to be able to create a fun learning atmosphere and increase students' understanding of IPAS materials

Abstract

By integrating podcasts into language instruction, educators can create a more engaging, authentic, and accessible environment for practicing speaking skills. The potential of podcasts to improve speaking proficiency lies in their ability to provide consistent auditory input, expand vocabulary, and model accurate pronunciation. This research, therefore, seeks to explore the impact of podcast use on students' speaking achievement at Madrasah Aulia Cendekia. The study aims to provide insights into how podcasts might bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, ultimately fostering a learning experience that better equips students for real-life communicationThis study investigated the effectiveness of using podcast media to improve students'speaking achievement at Madrasah Aliyah Aulia Cendekia Palembang. The study utilized apre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach involving 35 students from grade X as participants. For 10 sessions, the students were exposed to podcast-based learning, where they listened to and practiced speaking through various podcast episodes designed to improve their self-introductions, daily routines, hobbies, and personal experiences in English. Data was collected through pre-test and post-test assessments to measure the improvement of students' speaking ability. The results showed a significant improvement in students' speaking achievement, with post- test scores significantly higher than pre-test scores. The findings suggest that podcasts can be an effective tool in improving students' speaking ability by providing engaging and authentic language practice opportunities. The study recommends integrating podcasts into the English curriculum to encourage better speaking ability among students. Keywords: English language learning, podcast, pre- experimental design, speaking achievement ABSTRAK Dengan mengintegrasikan podcast ke dalam pembelajaran bahasa, pendidik dapat menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih menarik, autentik, dan mudah diakses untuk melatih keterampilan berbicara. Potensi podcast dalam meningkatkan kemahiran berbicara terletak pada kemampuannya untuk memberikan input auditori yang konsisten, memperluas kosakata, dan menjadi model pelafalan yang akurat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak penggunaan podcast terhadap pencapaian berbicara siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Aulia Cendekia. Studi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana podcast dapat menjembatani kesenjangan antara pengetahuan teoretis dan penerapan praktis, sehingga menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih membekali siswa dalam komunikasi kehidupan nyata. Penelitian ini menyelidiki efektivitas penggunaan media podcast untuk meningkatkan pencapaian berbicara siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Aulia Cendekia Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pra-eksperimen dengan pendekatan satu kelompok pretest-posttest yang melibatkan 35 siswa kelas X sebagai partisipan. Selama 10 sesi, siswa diberikan pembelajaran berbasis podcast, di mana mereka mendengarkan dan melatih berbicara melalui berbagai episode podcast yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan memperkenalkan diri, rutinitas harian, hobi, dan pengalaman pribadi dalam bahasa Inggris. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes awal (pre-test) dan tes akhir (post-test) untuk mengukur peningkatan kemampuan berbicara siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pencapaian berbicara siswa, dengan skor post-test yang jauh lebih tinggi dibandingkan skor pre-test. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa podcast dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dengan menyediakan kesempatan latihan bahasa yang menarik dan autentik. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi podcast ke dalam kurikulum bahasa Inggris untuk mendorong peningkatan kemampuan berbicara siswa. Kata kunci: desain pra-eksperime, podcast, pencapaian berbicara, pembelajaran bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Disciplinary violations committed by dormitory students, such as truancy and leaving the dormitory environment without permission, are a form of conflict that often occurs in the Islamic education environment. This study aims to analyze the conflict management strategies applied by teachers in handling disciplinary violations at MTs Filial Ma'arif Darul Ulum, Sidoharjo. This research covers how teachers respond to students who commit repeated violations and what strategies are used to resolve conflicts in an educational way. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the handling of disciplinary violations at MTs Filial Ma'arif Darul Ulum is carried out through a combination of educational strategies, such as individual counseling, Islamic values approach, and restorative communication. Thomas & Kilmann's collaborative approach has proven to be relevant in building students' awareness and character. These results show the importance of developing SOP for handling discipline that is participatory and based on Islamic values to form a sustainable culture of discipline in the dormitory madrasah environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of innovative teaching methods and reading interest on students' learning outcomes in the Aqidah Akhlak subject at MTs Ma’arif 017 Kalikuning. The background of the research is based on the low student achievement, which is influenced by conventional teaching approaches and a lack of reading interest. This research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory method and an associative correlational design. The sample consists of all eighth-grade students, totaling 60 participants, selected through total sampling. The instruments used include a Likert-scale questionnaire to measure students’ perceptions of teaching methods and reading interest, along with documentation of their academic achievement. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The findings reveal that both innovative teaching methods and reading interest have a positive and significant effect on students’ learning outcomes, both partially and simultaneously. Partially, innovative teaching methods have a significant influence with a t-value of 2.491 and a significance level of 0.016, while reading interest shows a stronger effect with a t-value of 5.920 and a significance level of 0.000. The F-test result shows an F-value of 24.353 (sig. 0.000), indicating a significant simultaneous influence. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.479, meaning that the two independent variables explain 47.9% of the variation in learning outcomes. This study highlights the importance of innovative pedagogical approaches and the strengthening of a literacy culture in enhancing the effectiveness of Aqidah Akhlak learning. Teachers are encouraged to continuously develop creative teaching strategies and foster students’ reading interest through a supportive learning environment. Future studies may consider additional variables such as family support or the integration of digital technology.

Abstract

The phenomenon of brainrot as a form of degradation of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor functions due to excessive consumption of instant and superficial digital content has become a serious challenge in the world of education. This study aims to explore the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in dealing with the phenomenon of brainrot in students of SMK Ma'arif Sudimoro. This study uses a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, classroom observations, and documentation, which were analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldana analysis techniques. The results of the study show that Islamic Religious Education teachers apply three main strategies, namely: (1) contextual learning that relates PAI material to digital phenomena that are close to students' daily lives; (2) group discussion strategies that encourage active participation and critical thinking of students; and (3) a reflective-spiritual approach that fosters self-awareness and religious values through contemplation and spiritual experience. Although this strategy is effective in increasing student engagement and instilling religious values, its implementation is faced with a number of challenges, including low student focus, resistance to reflective values, and reliance on instant culture. Teachers respond to these challenges by innovating learning media, sharing roles in discussions, and strengthening digital-based reflection methods. This study concludes that adaptive, relevant, and spiritual value-based learning strategies can be a solution to minimize the impact of brainrot, while strengthening students' religious character in the digital era and is expected to be a contextual and transformative reference.

Abstract

The moral crisis of adolescents characterized by declining manners, enthusiasm for learning, and social concern has become a serious challenge in Islamic education. This study aims to examine the role of the book Ta'limul Muta'allim as a counter-culture medium to the symptoms of moral decadence among the students of the MA Ma'arif Pacitan Dormitory. This study uses a qualitative approach with a contextual study method. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the book of Ta'limul Muta'allim plays an important role in shaping the character of students through the internalization of the values of manners, responsibility, and spirituality. These values are instilled through regular recitation, worship habits, and integration in madrasah culture. Its role as a medium of character education as well as a counter-culture tool has proven to be effective in responding to adolescent moral crises, especially through strengthening teacher examples, a culture of discipline, and support from the family environment. These findings affirm the importance of preserving and strengthening the tradition of classical book education as the foundation for the formation of adolescent characters that are adaptive to the challenges of the times and remain rooted in Islamic values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi permainan berbasis projek pada satuan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini melalui Kurikulum Merdeka, mendeskripsikan karakteristik dari kurikulum merdeka dan implementasinya pada satuan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kajian pustaka. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Pertama, Permainan untuk anak-anak membuat anak merasa bahagia, menurut Hurlock permainan terbagi menjadi dua kategori. Pertama, bermain aktif yang memberikan kebahagiaan dari tindakan anak itu sendiri. Anak-anak di usia dini lebih suka aktivitas ini karena bermain adalah bagian dari kehidupan mereka. Kedua, bermain pasif, yang lebih berfungsi sebagai hiburan. Anak kecil tidak terlalu menikmati bermain ini, tetapi lebih suka melihat orang lain dan mencari perhatian. Mereka sering menikmati menonton video favorit. Kedua, Kurikulum Merdeka di PAUD disebut Fase Fondasi, dengan ciri utama sebagai berikut. Pertama, pembelajaran dilakukan melalui aktivitas bermain, yang dianggap penting dalam proses belajar anak. Kedua, Capaian Pembelajaran (CP) dibuat sederhana dan mengacu pada tiga komponen: Nilai Agama dan Budi Pekerti, Identitas Diri, serta Dasar-Dasar Literasi dan Ilmu Pengetahuan seperti Matematika, Teknologi, Rekayasa, dan Seni. Ketiga, terdapat proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5), yang merupakan aktivitas di luar kelas untuk mengembangkan enam aspek Profil Pelajar Pancasila, yaitu beriman dan berakhlak baik, menghargai keberagaman, bergotong royong, mandiri, berpikir kritis, dan kreatif. Ketiga, Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Pada Satuan PAUD meliputi Perencanaan Pembelajaran yang Berpusat pada Anak, Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Merdeka Bermain Tantangan dan Strategi Implementasi Meskipun kurikulum ini memberikan keleluasaan, pelaksanaannya di lapangan sering kali terhambat oleh masalah yang berasal dari dalam (sekolah) maupun dari luar (lingkungan dan kebijakan yang ada). Beberapa tantangan utama yang dihadapi satuan PAUD dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka, antara lain: Keterbatasan Pemahaman Konsep Esensial, Kompetensi dan Kesiapan Guru dan Keteratasan Sarana dan Prasarana.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to improve the social skills of Class A students at TK Kartika IV-17 Kota Madiun, who generally still demonstrate low levels of social competence, particularly in the areas of cooperation, communication, sharing, participation, and adaptation. One contributing factor to this low level of social skill is that previous learning activities did not provide sufficient direct and collaborative experiences that enable children to interact optimally. Therefore, this research was conducted to enhance children’s social skills through the implementation of the group experiment method. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design consisting of two cycles, each involving planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation and documentation and were analyzed qualitatively to identify improvements in children’s social development. The findings indicate that the group experiment method effectively improved children’s social skills. The total social skill score increased from 134 in the pre-cycle phase (Beginning to Develop) to 190 in Cycle I (Beginning to Develop) and rose significantly to 350 in Cycle II (Developing Very Well). Classically, all 19 children reached the BSH and BSB categories in Cycle II, surpassing the performance indicator of 80%. Thus, the group experiment method proved effective in providing active, collaborative, and meaningful learning experiences that enhance the social skills of Class A students at TK Kartika IV-17 Madiun City.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Learning Model could improve student learning outcomes and caring character in history subjects. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Barat, with 36 students from class XI-1. The action research procedure consisted of two cycles. The data collection tools used in this study were lesson plans, student and teacher activity observation sheets, and evaluation test questions. The results of the first cycle of research showed that the average percentage of student learning outcomes increased. In the Pre-Cycle stage, the student's mastery score was 63.89% with an average score of 67.4 in the less category, in Cycle I it was 86.11% with an average score of 73.72 and in Cycle II it was 94.44% with an average score of 84.5 in the good category and achieved maximum mastery. The increase in learning outcomes from the Pre-Cycle stage, Cycle I to Cycle II was 30.55%. Based on the research results above, it can be concluded that the use of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model can improve learning outcomes and the caring character of grade XI-1 students.

Abstract

Abstract This study is motivated by the limited effectiveness of character education in schools, which tends to prioritize academic-cognitive achievement while neglecting moral and spiritual development. This research aims to analyze the strategies, forms of implementation, and urgency of holistic character education based on Islamic Religious Education at SMP Darussalam Kalibakung, Tegal Regency. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through literature review and documentation analysis of institutional school documents, including vision and mission statements, curriculum design, school regulations, and religious habituation programs. Data analysis was conducted through thematic categorization, contextual interpretation, and analytical synthesis between theoretical frameworks of holistic and Islamic character education and their practical implementation. The findings indicate that holistic character education at SMP Darussalam Kalibakung is implemented in an integrated manner through curriculum integration, school culture, religious habituation, and teacher role modeling. This approach shows positive implications for strengthening the internalization of Islamic values such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, empathy, and social awareness, while also contributing to improved learning quality and students’ holistic development. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum optimalnya capaian pendidikan karakter di sekolah yang masih didominasi oleh pendekatan akademik-kognitif dan kurang menyentuh pengembangan nilai moral dan spiritual peserta didik. Dalam konteks tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi, bentuk implementasi, serta urgensi pendidikan karakter holistik berbasis Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMP Darussalam Kalibakung, Kabupaten Tegal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui studi literatur dan dokumentasi terhadap dokumen institusional sekolah, seperti visi-misi, kurikulum, tata tertib, serta program pembiasaan religius dan budaya sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan melalui pengelompokan tema, interpretasi kontekstual, dan sintesis antara kerangka teoretis pendidikan karakter holistik berbasis nilai Islami dan praktik implementatif di sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter holistik di SMP Darussalam Kalibakung diimplementasikan secara terintegrasi melalui kurikulum, budaya sekolah, pembiasaan religius, serta keteladanan guru. Strategi ini berimplikasi positif terhadap penguatan internalisasi nilai-nilai Islami, seperti kejujuran, disiplin, tanggung jawab, empati, dan kepedulian sosial, serta berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan perkembangan peserta didik secara menyeluruh.
