Abstract

The spread of COVID-19 has made it difficult to teach in the classroom. One way to avoid this challenge is through online virtual classes. consequently, the media must play a role in ensuring that students are engaged in their studies. This community service aims to empower Powtoon in virtual learning at SDN Curahsawo 3, Probolinggo Regency. The PKM project is designed to help teachers use technology more effectively when creating instructional videos that can be used during the learning process. This community service project is divided into four parts: observation, looking at the problem, looking for solutions, and finding. This service involves 28 first graders. Adopting Powtoon media has many benefits, such as increasing student enthusiasm, making learning more interesting, and helping students learn faster. In addition, the teacher's enthusiasm for developing Powtoon content is evident.  Abstrak: Penyebaran COVID-19 telah membuat sulit untuk mengajar di kelas. Salah satu cara untuk menghindari tantangan ini adalah melalui kelas virtual online. Akibatnya, media harus memainkan peran dalam memastikan bahwa siswa terlibat dalam studi mereka. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan powtoon dalam pembelajaran virtual di SDN Curahsawo 3 Kabupaten Probolinggo. Proyek PKM dirancang untuk membantu guru menggunakan teknologi secara lebih efektif ketika membuat video pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan selama proses pembelajaran. Proyek pengabdian masyarakat ini dibagi menjadi empat bagian: observasi, melihat masalah, mencari solusi, dan mengevaluasi. Layanan ini melibatkan 28 siswa kelas satu. Mengadopsi media Powtoon memiliki banyak manfaat, seperti meningkatkan semangat siswa, membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik, dan membantu siswa belajar lebih cepat. Selain itu, antusiasme guru untuk mengembangkan konten Powtoon terlihat jelas.

Abstract

Kegiatan belajar mengajar bidang Matematika secara nyata adalah solusi metode pendekatan yang dilakukan kepada siswa agar mudah dipahami. Prinsip emergent modeling merupakan tuntutan menggunakan alat peraga dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang nantinya agar siswa mampu menggambarkan permasalahan yang diberikan. Tetapi, yang menjadi permasalahan saat ini yaitu wawasan dan ilmu tenaga pengajar yang masih terbatas dalam mendesain media yang akan digunakan kegiatan belajar mengajar secara nyata. Nyatanya, banyak barang yang tidak dipakai menumpuk terus menerus dan orang – orang tidak memanfaatkan barang tersebut. Jika orang – orang bisa recycling barang tersebut, maka akan menjadi bermanfaat dan bernilai guna. Kegiatan training belajar mengajar bidang matematika secara nyata menggunakan alat peraga dari bahan bekas yang sudah diolah merupakan penyelesaian dalam hal pendidikan. Kegiatan belajar mengajar menggunakan alat peraga dapat mendukung dalam proses pembelajaran tidak membosankan dan mudah dipahami. Namun, belum seluruh desain alat peraga yang sudah dibuat bisa memenuhi prinsip dan ciri kegiatan belajar mengajar matematika secara nyata. Kegiatan training ini bermanfaat dan bisa dikatakan berhasil membantu tenaga pengajar dalam memilih bahan bekas dijadikan alat peraga dan mendesain alat peraga tersebut. Selain itu, sebanyak 27 rancangan alat peraga matematika yang dibuat berbeda dari 36 rancangan. Desain kegiatan belajar mengajar terdiri atas topik kelas 3 dan kelas 4 tingkat Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

The tsunami natural disaster is a natural disaster that is very much feared in Indonesia. Several times a tsunami has occurred in Indonesia. On December 22, 2018, residents of the coast of Lampung were shocked by the tsunami that hit the coast to the east of South Lampung, Lampung Province. In the initial survey conducted on April 19, 2019, many people experienced difficulties in meeting public health needs, such as providing clean water. The community service activity carried out by the Tanjungkarang Health Polytechnic lecturer and Bengkulu Health Polytechnic lecturer and students was carried out at Pekon Kunjir, Rajabasa, South Lampung. The activity time is from February to December 2020, using the method of advocacy and science and technology research. The target of the activity is the community in Pekon Kunjir. The implementation method is community empowerment in building a clean water pipeline network. The result of the activity is the construction of 1 water storage unit with 1 intake and a 1000 meter piping network. To ensure sustainability, the village has established a water management organization appointed by the Head of Pekon Kunjir. The community is satisfied and the local government hopes that community service activities can be continued to other villages affected by the disaster.    Abstrak: Bencana alam tsunami merupakan bencana alam yang sangat ditakuti di Indonesia. Beberapa kali tsunami telah terjadi di Indonesia.pada tanggal 22 Desember 2018, warga pesisir Lampung dihebohkan dengan bencana tsunami yang melanda Pantai di sebelah Timur Lampung Selatan Provinsi Lampung. Dalam survei awal yang dilakukan pada 19 April 2019, banyak masyarakat yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan kesehatan masyarakat, seperti penyediaan air bersih. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh dosen Poltekkes Tanjungkarang dan dosen Poltekkes Bengkulu beserta mahasiswa ini dilaksanakan di Pekon Kunjir, Rajabasa, Lampung Selatan. Waktu kegiatan dari Februari hingga Desember 2020, menggunakan metode advokasi dan dipusi ipteks. Sasaran kegiatan adalah masyarakat di Pekon Kunjir. Metode pelaksanaannya adalah pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam membangun jaringan perpipaan air bersih. Hasil kegiatan berupa pembangunan 1 unit penampungan air dengan 1 intake dan jaringan perpipaan 1000 meter. Untuk memastikan keberlanjutan, desa telah membentuk organisasi pengelolaan air yang ditunjuk oleh Kepala Pekon Kunjir. Masyarakat merasa puas dan pemerintah setempat berharap kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dapat dilanjutkan ke pekon lain yang terkena bencana.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PkM) activity is one of the compulsory subjects that students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) HKBP Nommensen University (UHN) Medan must take in order to develop students' teaching potential as prospective educators or as prospective educators who are professional and ready to enter the world of education. PkM activities supplement and complement the knowledge and skills acquired by students while in college. This program serves a purpose and serves a function, namely to give students with the opportunity to become professional education employees in order to increase students' knowledge and skills as professionals. Personality competence, professional competence, personal competence, and social competence are all required competencies for educators. The PkM program will equip students with real-world experience as aspiring educators. The PkM program encourages students to continue to strive towards the development of attitudes and personalities as educators, especially mature attitudes in behaving and thinking, discipline in carrying out their tasks and commitments, and the ability to adapt to their environment, institution, or society.

Abstract

Tinea cruris is an infectious disease caused by fungal microorganisms that cause severe itching and secondary infection complaints. Skin disease transmission factors in the groin (tinea cruris) include agent, environmental, and host factors. Tinea cruris disease in elementary school students can reduce academic quality. This activity aims to socialize students in tackling the fungal disease infestation. It will increase knowledge about skin diseases, both in terms of knowledge of parasites/fungus and clean and healthy living behavior towards the incidence of tinea cruris. Community service methods include the delivery of material about personal hygiene, distribution of leaflets, post-test, and pre-test. The activity was carried out on March 8, 2022, and initial measurement of the knowledge and behavior of personal hygiene was carried out, followed by all 55 elementary school students. A questionnaire is an instrument to measure the level of knowledge, behavior, and incidence of tinea cruris. The mean value of the pre-test was higher than the mean score of the post-test. It was concluded that the activity could increase knowledge. It is necessary to collaborate with others, such as health monitoring and collaboration with the community health center.

Abstract

Physiologically in pregnant women there will be changes in the abdominal wall, in which the abdominal wall muscles will stretch/an increase in abdominal distension as a result of increasing uterine volume which has an impact on decreasing abdominal muscle tone. The abdominal wall muscles stretch and eventually lose some muscle tone. During the third trimester, the rectus abdominis can separate, causing the abdominal contents to protrude toward the midline of the body, this separation is known as diastasis recti abdominis. Based on the author's survey of 10 midwives in obtained, the level of knowledge of the midwives about diastasis rectus Abdominis  (DRA), sufficient level of knowledge was 40% and less than 60%, of the midwife was didn,t know how to conduct a DRA examination on postpartum mothers. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of participants how to do check  DRA And evaluate  result of competence of the midwife in providing services to postpartum women in their clinic already applies Diastasis Recti Abdominis examination to every patient. Conclusion: There was an increase of knowledge participants before and after training. There was an increase in the ability of participants to perform an examination of Diastasis Rectus Abdominis on postpartum mothers, both before and after the training

Abstract

Because of the Covid-19 epidemic, the learning method in primary schools has shifted from conventional learning to virtual learning, which is more effective. One of the challenges elementary school instructors face is the usage of virtual learning apps that are appealing to pupils. Virtual learning applications are becoming more popular. This service activity is a training session for teachers at SDN Tambelang 1 in Probolinggo Regency on how to utilize the Quizziz and Wordwall programs in the classroom to enhance learning. The participants in this activity will be 11 teachers who will be service partners with the organization. The Zoom platform is used for all of the activities that take place online. The exercise is divided into two stages: the first stage involves the presentation of content and practice with the Quizizz program, and the second stage involves the presentation of material and practice with the Wordwall application, respectively. Techniques for gathering information with surveys or questionnaires. The average participant answer was utilized in the data analysis. The replies of participants revealed that instructors developed knowledge and abilities in the use of the Quizizz and Wordwall programs, which was a good outcome. The inability of the internet network to function properly is a stumbling block in this endeavour.  Abstrak: Karena wabah Covid-19, metode pembelajaran di sekolah dasar telah bergeser dari pembelajaran konvensional ke pembelajaran virtual yang lebih efektif. Salah satu tantangan yang dihadapi guru sekolah dasar adalah penggunaan aplikasi pembelajaran virtual yang menarik bagi siswa. Aplikasi pembelajaran virtual menjadi lebih populer. Kegiatan pengabdian ini merupakan sesi pelatihan bagi para guru di SDN Tambelang 1 Kabupaten Probolinggo tentang bagaimana memanfaatkan program Quizziz dan Wordwall di dalam kelas untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran. Peserta dalam kegiatan ini adalah 11 orang guru yang akan menjadi mitra pengabdian organisasi. Platform Zoom digunakan untuk semua aktivitas yang dilakukan secara online. Latihan dibagi menjadi dua tahap: tahap pertama melibatkan penyajian konten dan praktik dengan program Quizizz, dan tahap kedua melibatkan penyajian materi dan praktik dengan aplikasi Wordwall masing-masing. Teknik pengumpulan informasi dengan survei atau kuesioner. Rata-rata jawaban partisipan digunakan dalam analisis data. Balasan peserta mengungkapkan bahwa guru mengembangkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam penggunaan program Quizizz dan Wordwall, yang merupakan hasil yang baik. Ketidakmampuan jaringan internet untuk berfungsi dengan baik menjadi kendala dalam upaya ini.

Abstract

One of the abilities that educators don't often get much training in is how to write scientific articles. The explanation for this is because the instructors have received inadequate training to write scientific articles. At the moment, one of the necessary criteria for instructors to fulfill in order to advance their careers is the publication of scholarly publications. The purpose of this community service project is to provide assistance to educators in the process of creating scholarly publications that are based on the findings of classroom action research (CAR) that has been completed. Workshops, roundtable discussions, question-and-answer sessions, in-person counseling sessions, and e-mail correspondence were all integral parts of the methodology. The findings pointed to a paradigm change in the way that scientific papers are written. After going through the training, the instructors were able to overcome the challenges they had encountered in the beginning. This was due to the fact that they were now aware of how to incorporate the findings of the CAR into article writing. According to the findings, more training and direction had a positive effect on the instructors' ability, and the drafts were generally satisfactory with room for advancement. After that, the papers will be submitted to respected publications with the intention of advancing the instructors' careers.  Abstrak: Salah satu kemampuan yang seringkali tidak banyak dilatih oleh pendidik adalah bagaimana menulis artikel ilmiah. Penyebabnya adalah karena para guru belum mendapatkan pelatihan yang memadai untuk menulis artikel ilmiah. Saat ini, salah satu kriteria yang harus dipenuhi oleh para pengajar untuk memajukan karir mereka adalah publikasi publikasi ilmiah. Tujuan dari proyek pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan bantuan kepada para pendidik dalam proses pembuatan publikasi ilmiah yang didasarkan pada temuan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang telah diselesaikan. Lokakarya, diskusi meja bundar, sesi tanya jawab, sesi konseling langsung, dan korespondensi email adalah bagian integral dari metodologi. Temuan menunjukkan perubahan paradigma dalam cara penulisan karya ilmiah. Setelah melalui pelatihan, para guru mampu mengatasi tantangan yang mereka temui di awal. Pasalnya, mereka kini sudah paham bagaimana memasukkan temuan PTK ke dalam penulisan artikel. Menurut temuan, lebih banyak pelatihan dan arahan memiliki efek positif pada kemampuan guru, dan konsep umumnya memuaskan dengan ruang untuk kemajuan. Setelah itu, makalah akan diserahkan ke publikasi terkemuka dengan tujuan memajukan karir guru.

Abstract

This activity is to improve the academic climate that is creative, innovative, visionary, solutive and independent and to improve the quality of students in higher education so that later they can become members of the community who have academic and professional abilities who can apply, develop and disseminate science, technology and art as well as enrich the national culture. This Community Service (PkM) activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Tapian Nauli, Jalan Sibolga-Barus KM 0.8 Tapian Nauli, Central Tapanuli Regency. Community service activities are carried out from 02 to 26 February 2022. Not all learning that takes place in schools can be accepted and understood by students. Every activity carried out is expected to provide benefits, as well as community service activities organized by the HKBP Nommensen Medan FKIP Student Team. This community service activity is expected to increase the enthusiasm for learning for students at SMP Negeri 1 Tapian Nauli.

Abstract

Children's books for elementary school teachers is the goal of this community activity. The literary literacy program, one of the national literacy movement's many initiatives, informs the design of this course. Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya joined with five primary schools to carry out this community duty. From July to September 2021, two instructors from each school will participate in creative writing training. In this activity, instructors work together to design projects for authoring children's books as part of the Project Based Learning approach. Blended learning course includes 16 hours of face-to-face creative writing classes and 32 hours of virtual mentorship. Online sessions were used to introduce fundamental concepts in creative writing and kid 's literature to course participants. After submitting and consulting their draft narrative to the community service facilitator committee, participants got comments for editing through an online session. Nine out of ten students were able to finish a children's narrative writing assignment using mastery learning assessments. Aside from exposing them to literary literacy and enhancing children's ability to write picture tales and short stories, participants said that this exercise had a positive effect on their lives.  Abstrak: Buku anak untuk guru sekolah dasar menjadi tujuan dari kegiatan komunitas ini. Program literasi sastra, salah satu dari banyak inisiatif gerakan literasi nasional, menginformasikan desain kursus ini. Universitas Nahdatul Ulama Surabaya bergabung dengan lima sekolah dasar untuk mengemban tugas kemasyarakatan ini. Mulai Juli hingga September 2021, dua guru dari masing-masing sekolah akan mengikuti pelatihan menulis kreatif. Dalam kegiatan ini, guru bekerja sama untuk merancang proyek untuk menulis buku anak-anak sebagai bagian dari pendekatan Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek. Kursus pembelajaran campuran mencakup 16 jam kelas menulis kreatif tatap muka dan 32 jam bimbingan virtual. Sesi online digunakan untuk memperkenalkan konsep dasar menulis kreatif dan sastra anak kepada peserta kursus. Setelah menyerahkan dan mengkonsultasikan draft narasi mereka kepada panitia fasilitator pengabdian masyarakat, para peserta mendapat komentar untuk diedit melalui sesi online. Sembilan dari sepuluh siswa mampu menyelesaikan tugas menulis narasi anak menggunakan penilaian penguasaan pembelajaran. Selain membekali mereka dengan literasi sastra dan meningkatkan kemampuan anak dalam menulis cerita bergambar dan cerita pendek, para peserta mengatakan bahwa latihan ini berdampak positif bagi kehidupan mereka.
