Abstract

Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the main causes of death both outside and inside the hospital. The morbidity and mortality rates due to heart attacks are still quite high, ranging from 2.6% to 9%. The death rate itself due to heart disease is 31% of the 56.5 million deaths throughout Indonesia. To help prevent respiratory arrest in patients with heart attacks, Basic Life Support (BLS) training can be used as a solution to anticipate this. The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge and skills of health center cadres about the provision of Basic Life Support to patients who experience emergencies. This service method is lectures, Questions and Answers, and BLS Training. The results of this activity showed the average value of the pre-test before giving the material was 62.4, while after giving the material and training the average score increased to 86.40. The results of the BLS training show that the majority of cadres can perform well. Based on the results of BLS counseling and training, there was an increase in the value of knowledge by 41.9% and the results of BLS training showed the ability of cadres to be 68% able to perform well.  Abstrak. Serangan jantung secara mendadak merupakan salah satu penyebab kamatian yang utama baik di luar maupun di dalam rumah sakit. Angka kesakitan dan kematian akibat serangan jantung ini masih cukup tinggi yaitu antara 2,6% sampai 9%. Angka kematian sendiri akibat penyakit jantung yaitu sebanyak 31% dari 56,5 juta kematian di seluruh Indonesia. Untuk membantu mencegah henti napas pada pasien yang mengalami serangan jantung maka pelatihan Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) dapat dijadikan solusi untuk mengantisipasi hal tersebut. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader puskesmas tentang pemberian Bantuan Hidup Dasar pada pasien yang mengalami kegawatdaruratan. Metode pengabdian ini adalah ceramah, Tanya jawab, dan Pelatihan BHD. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan rata-rata nilai pre-test sebelum pemberian materi adalah 62,4, sedangkan setelah pemberian materi dan pelatihan nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 86,40. Hasil pelatihan BHD menunjukkan mayoritas kader dapat melakukan dengan baik. Berdasarkan hasil penyuluhan dan pelatihan BHD terjadi peningkatan nilai pengetahuan sebesar 41,9% dan Hasil pelatihan BHD menunjukkan kemampuan kader sebesar 68% dapat melakukan dengan baik.

Abstract

Stigma is a social problem that is unique to people living with HIV/AIDS. Living with HIV/AIDS is not an easy thing. There is a risk of discrimination in various social circles of PLWHA. The aim of community service is to increase public knowledge about the Social Interaction of People with Hiv/Aids (PLHAs) in Reducing Stigma. The implementation of community service is carried out through several stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The results of community service show that the relationship of family attitude factors to the stigma of PLWHA is significant with a p value of 0.006. Community service was carried out to 74 participants with the majority being women aged over 45 years. Factors that influence the stigma of PLWHA in Cipondoh Village are the attitude of the family towards PLWHA and the respondent's perception of PLWHA. It is necessary to provide complete information on HIV/AIDS to the community to provide an understanding that can change individual and community perceptions, including families, neighbors, and community leaders about PLWHA.  Abstrak: Stigma sebagai sebuah permasalahan sosial yang khas pada orang dengan HIV/AIDS. Hidup dengan terjangkit HIV/AIDS bukanlah suatu perkara yang mudah. Ada resiko diskriminasi di berbagai  lingkungan sosial ODHA. Tujuan Pengabdian masyarakat adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang Interaksi Sosial Orang Dengan Hiv/Aids (Odha) Dalam Mengurangi Stigma. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi.  Hasil pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan Hubungan dari faktor sikap keluarga terhadap stigma ODHA signifikan dengan nilai p value 0.006. Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan kepada 74 orang peserta dengan mayoritas berjenis kelamin perempuan usia di atas 45 tahun. Faktor yang memengaruhi stigma terhadap ODHA di Kelurahan Cipondoh adalah sikap keluarga terhadap ODHA dan persepsi responden terhadap ODHA. Perlu pemberian informasi HIV/AIDS yang lengkap kepada masyarakat untuk memberikan pemahaman yang dapat mengubah persepsi individu dan masyarakat termasuk keluarga, tetangga, dan tokoh masyarakat tentang ODHA.

Abstract

Permainan edukasi bertujuan untuk menstimulus minat dan bakat peserta didik dengan bermain. Peserta didik akan lebih tertarik dalam belajar dengan menggunakan Alat Permainan Edukasi (APE), karena hakikatnya peserta didik senang dengan suasana belajar yang menarik dan menyenangkan di kelas. Ketersedian APE indoor di Asyiyah Bustanul Athfal sangatlah terbatas dan APE yang ada merupakan versi lama sehingga proses belajar untuk mengembangkan motorik dan sensorik peserta didik kurang optimal. Sehingga guru di TK Asyiyah Bustanul Athfal harus beradaptasi dengan baik untuk mengupdate kemampuannya dalam meyediakan APE.  Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu betambahnya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan guru dalam menggunakan Alat Permainan Edukasi (APE) berupa puzzle, Intelligent Stick, Flash card, Clock board, kawat manik lingkar.

Abstract

Community service activity (PkM) is carried out by students of the HKBP Nommensen University Medan at SD Negeri 094135 Tigabolon. The PkM participants consist of four students who are guided by a field supervisor (DPL) assigned by the Universitas HKBP Nommensen in Medan. This PkM is carried out within one month from 02 to 28 February 2022. This PkM is carried out as an implementation of the MBKM curriculum which is being implemented in various public and private campuses throughout Indonesia. Universitas HKBP Nommensen takes part in improving the quality of education in North Sumatra and Riau through this PkM program. This PkM is carried out outside of students' school hours with the aim of helping to optimize students' abilities at SDN 094135 Tigabolon and solve the difficulties faced by students. This PkM is held every Monday-Thursday at 13.00-15.00 WIB. This technical implementation is based on the instructions of the principal and the needs of students. This PkM is carried out by students evenly to students starting from grade one to grade six. Based on the sharing session activities carried out by DPL with PkM participating students, the PkM implementation can run well. The school accepts it well and can coordinate with all teachers in the school, including the education staff. The presence of this PkM has a positive impact on students at SD Negeri 094135 Tigabolon. Learning problems experienced by students can be resolved properly, especially in reading, writing, arithmetic, and understanding literacy well. This can be seen from the benchmark of the ability of students before the implementation of this PkM program. The school is willing to accept the next PkM participants because it has a positive impact on the school.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic from March 2020 until now, students at the Faculty of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, University of Nusa Cendana experienced difficulties in implementing an online learning system using the learning management system platform from the University of Nusa Cendana, especially first semester students who are using the online learning system for the first time. the Learning Management System platform from the University of Nusa Cendana. They have not fully mastered the various online learning features on the platform, such as logging in, filling out the attendance list, downloading materials, conducting discussions and submitting assignments. The purpose of this service is to improve students' knowledge and skills in using the Nusa Cendana University learning management system platform. The subjects of this service are first semester students at the Faculty of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, University of Nusa Cendana. The training was carried out using several methods, such as lectures, questions and answers, and direct practice using the learning management system platform. Data were collected by using the observation method. The results of the training showed that all students managed to have the ability to use the University of Nusa Cendana Learning Management System platform, they had the ability to login into the system, fill out attendance lists, download learning materials, and conduct discussions and collect assignments. After this, they will be able to conduct bold learning training that is more organized and more open in using the learning management system of the University of Nusa Cendana platform.  Abstrak: Selama masa pandemic Covid-19 dari bulan Maret 2020 sampai sekarang, mahasiswa di Fakultas Kedokteran dan Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Nusa Cendana mengalami kesulitan dalam menerapkan sistem pembelajaran dalam jaringan menggunakan platform learning management sistem dari Universitas Nusa Cendana, terutama mahasiswa semester satu yang baru pertama kali menggunakan platform Learning Management System dari Universitas Nusa Cendana tersebut. Mereka belum sepenuhnya menguasai berbagai fitur pembelajaran online di platform tersebut, seperti login, mengisi daftar hadir, mengunduh materi, melakukan diskusi dan mengumpulkan tugas. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan platform learning management system Universitas Nusa Cendana. Subyek pengabdian ini adalah mahasiswa semester satu di Fakultas Kedokteran dan Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Nusa Cendana. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan beberapa metode, seperti ceramah, tanya jawab, dan langsung praktek langsung menggunakan platform learning managemen system. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa semua mahasiswa berhasil memiliki kemampuan dalam menggunakan platform Learning Management System Universitas Nusa Cendana, mereka memiliki kemampuan dalam melakukan login ke sistem, mengisi daftar hadir, mengunduh materi pembelajaran, melakukan diskusi dan mengumpulkan tugas. Setelah pelatihan ini, mereka akan dapat melakukan pembelajran daring yang lebih terorganisir dan lebih termotivasi dalam menggunakan platform learning management system Universitas Nusa Cendana.

Abstract

Lawe Dua Village, Kutacane has the potential of a multi-story waterfall which is a tourist attraction for the community during holidays. However, there has been no renovation of the location of the waterfall after the 2019 flood, garbage is scattered, there are no public toilets and prayer rooms, there are no food and beverage sellers, and people who work as farmers have experienced a decrease in income due to the impact of  Covid-19. This condition worsens the community's economy. The purpose of this community service activity is to introduce the potential for nature tourism and regional culinary specialties throughout Indonesia through the Hy-FooT (Healthy Food and Traveling) platform, increase the independence of community entrepreneurs, stimulate community preparedness to face flood disasters, and preserve nature and develop fostered villages as a pilot village that utilizes an online business platform in the tourism and culinary fields. The method of implementing this activity includes socializing activities, forming and fostering groups, disseminating knowledge, developing and simulating the use of the Hy-FooT platform, monitoring and evaluating program sustainability. The results of the activity are 68% of the community using the Hy-FooT platform, the formation of youth groups for nature conservation and culinary, 55% of culinary groups as sources of income, collaboration with the Village Head of Lawe Dua, the Agriculture Service, and the Southeast Aceh Regional Disaster Management Agency, as well as follow-up on sustainability. business through Hy-FooT.

Abstract

The goal of implementing this community service program (PkM) is to use an active, creative, effective, and enjoyable learning model (PAKEM) in thematic-based learning. Based on first observations made on January 29, 2022 utilizing the direct review and interview approach (to the principal), the school still has a state C accreditation status using the 2013 curriculum. At the school, there are some students who cannot write, read, or count (Calistung), and there are also some students who can only count, and because of the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the school has implemented online school learning to avoid the spread of the Covid 19 Virus, but students do not have communication tools that support online learning, and students' learning time is reduced due to their inability to purchase data packages. The goal of conducting this PkM activity is to reach around 80 persons, with pupils from SD N 175795 Lobutangga being prioritized. The implementation period lasts one month, during which time free tutoring for all courses is provided. Following the installation of PkM, around 75% of pupils who could not read or spell previously began to read and spell better than before. Students are more eager to learn since the manner we utilize captures their interest. Students are more likely to accept learning at school if it has already been taught during tutoring, and teachers are more likely to teach some topic if it has previously been taught during tutoring

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge and skills of breeders regarding reproductive management of goats in general and measure the ability of farmers to detect estrus and determine mating time before and after parturition through pre-test and post-test evaluations. The method used is the method of socialization (sexual maturity, lust, marriage, pregnancy, birth and weaning, lust and remarriage after parturition); demonstration method (showing and making your own pictures of the cattle mating calendar); Evaluation method (Pre-test and post-test related to the ability to detect lust and determine the right time to mate after parturition). The delivery of material and questions and answers starts from the understanding of reproductive management in its environment including sexual maturity, estrus detection, marriage, pregnancy, birth and weaning and remarriage after giving birth. After that, it was continued with training/practice in which the breeder made and studied the calendar of cattle mating times. This session received a good response because it was seen from the participation and activity of the participants during the process of this activity, both in the delivery of materials and discussions as well as training/practice. Based on the results of the evaluation of the knowledge of farmers about determining estrus detection and determining the timing of remarriage after giving birth before (pre-test) the delivery of material and practice shows that the average knowledge of farmers is in the less category, namely 100%, can only mention 1 answer point. Meanwhile, after the delivery of the material, there was an increase in knowledge of breeders about lust detection, which was in the medium category (57%), the determination of mating time was also in the medium category (60%) which could mention 2-3 points of answers. From the overall evaluation, there was an increase in the knowledge of farmers before and after the delivery of materials and practices so it can be said that this service was achieved according to the expected results.  Abstrak: Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan peternak tentang manajemen reproduksi ternak kambing secara umum dan mengukur tingkat pengetahuan peternak dalam mendeteksi estrus dan penentuan waktu kawin sebelum dan sesudah partus melalui evaluasi pre test dan post test. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode sosialisasi (dewasa kelamin, birahi, perkawinan, kebuntingan, kelahiran dan penyapihan, birah dan kawin kembali setela partus) ; metode demonstrasi (menunjukan serta membuat sendiri gambar kalender perkawinan ternak); metode Evaluasi (Pre test dan post test terkait kemampuan deteksi birahi dan penentuan waktu kawain yang tepat setelah partus). Penyampaian materi dan tanya jawab dimulai dari pengertian manajemen reproduksi ruang lingkungnya meliputi umur dewasa kelamin, deteksi estrus, perkawinan, kebuntingan, kelahiran dan penyapihan serta kawin kembali setelah beranak. Setelah itu,dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan/praktek yakni peternak membuat dan mempelajari kalender waktu perkawinan ternak. Sesi ini mendapatkan respon yang baik karena dilihat dari keikutsertaan dan keaktifan peserta selama proses kegiatan ini berlangsung, baik dalam penyampaian materi dan diskusi maupun pelatihan/praktek. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi pengetahuan peternak tentang penentuan deteksi estrus dan penentuan waktu kawin kembali setelah beranak sebelum (pre test) penyampaian materi dan praktek menunjukan bahwa rata - rata pengetahuan peternak berada pada kategori kurang yakni (100%), hanya bisa menyebutkan 1 poin jawaban. Sedangkan setelah penyampaian materi adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peternak tentang deteksi birahi yakni berada pada kategori sedang (57%), penentuan waktu kawin juga berada pada kategori sedang (60 %) yakni dapat menyebutkan 2-3 poit jawaban. Dari keseluruhan Evaluasi, adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peternak sesudah penyampaian materi dan praktek sehingga dapat dikatakan pengabdian ini tercapai sesuai hasil yang diharapkan.

Abstract

One of the obstacles to student learning is monotonous learning which makes students inactive and feeling bored so that it affects the achievement of students' cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities. The purpose of this Community Service activity is to provide free tutoring assistance to students of SD Karya Bhakti Medan Helvetia and also as a means for students to channel their knowledge and concern for children who are undergoing a period of online learning and limited face-to-face learning. This Community Service activity is carried out using the methods of preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Tutoring is carried out using the PAKEM learning model (Active, Creative, Effective, and Fun Learning), so that elementary school students feel more comfortable and less tense in participating in tutoring activities. The results and outcomes achieved are that the tutoring activities carried out can help parents who cannot accompany their children in participating in online learning and also to increase the learning motivation of students at Karya Bhakti Elementary School Medan Helvetia. In addition, parents/guardians of students are grateful for the improvement in their children's academic achievement at school after participating in this tutoring activity. This is because after attending tutoring, students become more enthusiastic in doing school assignments (PR) well and there are no neglected assignments because there is someone who guides them so that students' understanding of the subject matter at school increases with the repetition of the material provided. by tutors (teachers).

Abstract

Many efforts have been made by the government to create order in social distancing. By providing free tutoring online, outside of school hours, it can be an alternative to avoid the possibility of meeting between students after school hours. In addition to reducing crowds, tutoring can also improve student learning outcomes so that students of SMP Negeri 2 Lintong Nihuta don't spend time after school to meet or gather with other people, but by studying online as was done in the free tutoring for this service. . This activity can support the government's program in reducing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, namely maintaining social distancing. The partners in this community service are students of SMP Negeri 2 Lintong Nihuta who have received approval from the principal. This activity is carried out for one month. Students are taught online so students can stay in their own homes
