Abstract

This research aims to determine whether the learning outcomes of computer systems for students taught with the Problem-based Learning (PBL) learning strategy assisted by Linktree are better than the learning outcomes of students taught with the Expository learning strategy in class IX MTsN 3 Langkat. The research was a quasi-experiment, involving two classes that were given different treatments. The research design used in this research is Pre-test Post-test control group design, namely by looking at the differences in influence on post-test learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups. Statistically, using the t-test, it was concluded that the learning outcomes of students who were taught using the Linktree-assisted Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Strategy were better than the learning outcomes of students who were taught using the expository strategy in informatics subjects at MTsN 3 Langkat in systems material. computer, this is proven from the results of hypothesis testing where tcountttable, namely 13.771.666.

There are many new leaners of English can easily produce some non-standard English pronunciation dealing with those silent letters which may lead English Expert misinterpret the meaning which finally misunderstand take place. This study also focuses on the standard English pronunciation based on either British or American English pronunciation. Winda P., at al, agree that one thing that always happened in the errors of speaking English is silence in a letter. They define silent letter as a letter which is not pronounced in a word, it is present in spelling but missed in pronunciation. While Podhaizer (1998), states that the silent letters are letters which are not sounded. Therefore, English learners, when facing with silent letter words, were often confused about the pronunciation. New learners don not realize that they make mistake in pronouncing several words when they communicate in English. English silent letters are that you must write that letter in some particular words, but you must not read it. If you do not write it the words is not complete and it is wrong word in terms of spelling. Then if you pronounce it, based on you un-conscious knowledge, automatically you then produce non-standard English pronunciation. Most new learners commonly make mistake in pronouncing the following words: For examples the words half, doubt, debt, combing, climbing, plumber and so on. Musa Abubakar clarifies that perfect pronunciation as one of the effective language skills in communication greatly affects teaching, learning and usage of English as a second language because it enhances transfer of information from source to target. Further, Bishnu P.M. defines that English is an un phonetic language. There is no match between the letter that we write and the sound we produce. Finally, the writer tries to list those silent letters derived from several different academic resources.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and analyze the effectiveness of herbal sulfur soap as an alternative skin health care for children at Mamiyai Orphanage. The background of the study was based on the high prevalence of skin problems such as dermatitis, eczema, and fungal infections experienced by children in orphanages due to limited hygiene facilities and lack of skin care knowledge. Sulfur soap was chosen due to its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that have been proven to be effective in treating various skin problems, and is easily produced locally at low cost. Research methods included observation, interviews, and analysis of the effectiveness of sulfur soap on children's skin conditions. The results showed that regular use of sulfur soap can reduce symptoms of skin diseases and improve overall skin health. This study recommends the use of sulfur soap as an affordable and practical solution to improve the quality of life and self-confidence of children in orphanages. This study aims to develop and analyze the effectiveness of herbal sulfur soap as an alternative skin health care for children at Mamiyai Orphanage. Abstract

In the current digital era, traditional games are increasingly being marginalized and regarded as obsolete. Nevertheless, a closer examination reveals that traditional games possess distinctive features that not only make them engaging but also offer valuable educational benefits. This study aims to explore the potential of traditional games in fostering creativity among primary school students. The primary objective is to investigate how these culturally rooted games can contribute to the development of students’ creative abilities. This research adopts a systematic literature review approach, involving the identification, selection, and analysis of relevant scholarly sources. A total of six peer-reviewed articles were examined based on the following keywords: creativity, traditional games, and student development. The findings suggest that traditional games can effectively enhance students' creativity through the use of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the manipulation of game tools to achieve success. Furthermore, when traditional games are adapted or modified by educators, they become more engaging and serve as innovative tools for creative learning in the primary education context.

Cross-sectional research design was adopted while purposive sampling technique was used to select Lagos and Ekiti States, South-west Nigeria. Data were conveniently collected from 374 physically-challenged students using validated scales. Data collected were analyzed using multiple regression and t-test of independent samples to test four hypotheses at p 0.01 level of significance. The results indicated that academic impairment and significant others support independently predicted resilient behavior among physically-challenged students. Also, the result revealed that academic impairment and social support jointly predicted resilient behavior among study participants. The study concluded academic impairment and significant others' support are important predictors of resilient behavior among physically-challenged students.

Abstract

This study examines how students in multilingual schools use code-switching when learning and working with English. Drawing on Vygotsky’s Sociocultural theory of language learning, the study surveyed 150 students joined by interviews with 10 English teachers from chosen senior secondary schools in Lagos State, Nigeria. Respondents’ views were gathered using a set of structured questionnaires for students and a standard interview of teachers. The numerical data was looked at using descriptive statistics and the interviews were interpreted through a thematic analysis. According to the findings, using code-switching in moderation while teaching helped learners understand better and take part more, but doing it too often meant they had fewer opportunities to improve their English skills. The report shows that using code-switching in a limited way can help and suggests that immersion methods should be popularized in class alongside respecting many different languages. The study finds that sometimes code-switching helps and other times not, depending on its frequency and the reason for its use. Effective promotion of English language learning depends on strategic routines in multilingual classrooms.
