Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan keterampilan dalammengembangkan alat peraga hidrostatis pada konsep tekanan zat cair dengan kreativitasyang dimiliki oleh siswa kelas X SMK Bintang Langkat sehingga memahami konsep yangditerapkan oleh alat peraga tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah demonstrasi, praktik,dan diskusi, dengan pendekatan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Tanggapan siswa terhadappelatihan diperoleh dari angket. Hasil analisis angket menunjukkan 100% siswamenyatakan materi yang disampaikan mudah dipahami dan metode yang digunakanmenyenangkan, 80% siswa menyatakan bahwa sebelum melaksanakan pelatihanpembelajaran fisika tidak menyenangkan, 100% siswa menyatakan bahwa pembelajaranfisika menyenangkan setelah mengikuti pelatihan, 82% siswa termotivasi untuk belajarfisika setelah mengikuti pelatihan, dan 72% siswa ingin mencoba mengembangkan alatperaga hidrostatis pada konsep tekanan zat cair. Pelatihan berhasil merubah pandangansiswa ke arah positif secara signifikan.

Abstract

Learning outcomes in the independent curriculum in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) Phase B (for grades III and IV SD/MI/Package A) require that the learning carried out must be able to stimulate students to think at higher levels (HOTS ). This study discusses the analysis of HOTS content contained in IV grade IPAS textbooks for students. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. Data was collected using literature study techniques, documents, and questionnaires. Then, the percentage value of the HOTS load in the book by the data was calculated. The results obtained are interpreted to see the measurable level of thinking. There are 24 topics discussed and grouped into 8 chapters. Based on the results of the analysis of material content, creating (C6) around 12%, evaluating (C5) 12%, and analyzing (C4) 76%. While the items in the student's book, out of 33 questions scattered in the book, were found to be 12% at the C6 and C5, 73% at the C4, and 3% is C2. Overall, 98% content of the book is already contain HOTS. Based on the results, it can be assumed that the book is good for stimulating students to think at higher levels.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui kegiatan penebaran ikan (restocking) di perairan Danau Toba adalah untuk meningkatkan stok populasi ikan di perairan Danau Toba, untuk melestarikan keanekaragaman sumberdaya ikan di perairan Danau Toba serta untuk meningkatkan produksi ikan di perairan Danau Toba guna pemenuhan gizi bagi masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan adalah demonstrasi, praktik, dan diskusi, dengan pendekatan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Tanggapan masyarakat terhadap kegiatan ini diperoleh dari wawancara. Hasil analisis wawancara menunjukkan 100% masyarakat menyatakan kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat dan menambah ilmu pengetahuan masyarakat. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini berhasil merubah pandangan masyarakat ke arah positif secara signifikan sehingga dapat memotivasi masyarakat khususnya yang berada di perairan Danau Toba untuk dapat menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem perairan Danau Toba.

Abstract

Dalam rangka pelaksanaan pengalaman ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi khususnya pada masyarakat muda secara langsung, maka salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan yaitu melalui program pelatihan dan pendampingan peserta didik di sekolah. Kegiatan ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan dan pemahaman peserta didik dalam melakukan kegiatan penemuan. Pemberian pelatihan kepada peserta didik di SMK Bintang Langkat, dilaksanakan dengan tujuan (1) memberikan pengalaman nyata kepada peserta didik untuk mengamalkan pengetahuan IPA yang telah di terima pada proses pembelajaran, (2) menyebarluaskan cara merangkai dan menggunakan alat uji larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit agar peserta didik memiliki keahlian khusus dalam penggunaan alat percobaan sederhana. Agar tercapainya tujuan ini, tim telah memberikan pelatihan dan pembimbingan kepada peserta didik untuk merancang alat uji sederhana yang digunakan untuk menguji sifat keelektrolitan larutan. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan, diperoleh hasil yaitu (1) peserta didik melaksanakan secara pro-aktif dan mampu mengkreasikan rancangan alat uji sesuai dengan pemahaman yang diperoleh pada kegiatan pelatihan (2) peserta didik mampu merancang, menggunakan alat, dan melakukan uji larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit sederhana. Pelatihan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini memperoleh luaran produk berupa rancangan alat uji larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit sederhana. Produk yang dihasilkan merupakan produk yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan metode yang ditawarkan oleh tim.

Abstract

Kurangnya workshop yang membahas tentang soal HOTS di lingkungan sekolah merupakan salah satu alasan sulitnya mengembangkan soal HOTS bagi guru. Instrumen penilaian merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk mengukur sejauhmana kompetensi yang diajarkan guru telah tercapai oleh siswa. Instrumen penialian yang paling mudah untuk dikembangkan adalah instrumen penilaian objektif. Kegiatan ini dilakukan untuk dapat meningkatkan pemahaman guru tentang perbedaan LOTS dengan HOTS dan guru diharapkan mampu menyusun soal HOTS yang sesuai dengan revisi Taksonomi Bloom. Kegiatan workshop ini dilakuakn dengan (1) memberikan sosialiasi tentang perbedaan bentuk instrumen penilaian yang LOTS dan HOTS, dan (2) melakukan kegiatan pembinaan secara langsung tentang cara penyusunan butir soal HOTS kepada guru. Dari hasil pengabdian yang telah dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Secangang, sebanyak 54 orang guru mengikuti secara aktif pada kegiatan sosialisasi dan guru mampu merancang instrumen penilaian HOTS. Produk luaran yang dihasilkan merupakan instrumen penilaian HOTS yang siap untuk di uji validitas empirisnya.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance middle school students' understanding of static electricity material by implementing the jigsaw method. The research was conducted within the context of classroom action research and intended to improve the science learning process concerning the concept of static electricity. Research data were collected using achievement instruments and student learning activity observation sheets, presenting the data as they occurred during the learning process. Actions provided to the research subjects included cooperative learning of the jigsaw type implemented over four cycles. The research stages encompassed action planning, implementation, action observation, and reflection. The research findings indicate that the utilization of the jigsaw method in enhancing the understanding of the static electricity concept in science education has been successful. The improvement in students' understanding of the static electricity concept is evident through the progression of their learning outcomes from Cycle I to Cycle IV.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a science module based on a scientific approach to improve science process skills. This research is research and development. This research uses ADDIE development model which has 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research only reached the implementation stage. The research was carried out at Hamas IT Elementary School. The research subjects were 18 class VI students. The object in this research is VIscience module based on a scientific approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests. Data analysis in research is: (a) feasibility analysis science module based on a scientific approach and (b) effectiveness analysis science module based on a scientific approach. Based on the validation results for the product developed, namely a science module based on a scientific approach, show that the material expert validation results are 94.56%, including the very feasible category. Meanwhile, the results of media expert validation, namely 88.70% included in the very worthy category. The results of the pretest that were carried out showed that only 1 student completed it and 17 students did not complete it with a percentage of 44%. Meanwhile, the results of the posttest that had been carried out showed that 18 students completed the test with a percentage of 78%. Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that the scientific approach based science module developed is suitable and effective for use by sixth grade students at Hamas IT Elementary School.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain two group pretest-postest design. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Inquiry. Penelitian ini akan menghasilkan apakah metode inquiry ini lebih baik jika dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta Bintang Langkat. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random class. Sampel dibagi dalam dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Inquiry dan kelas kontrol yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari tes hasil belajar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Inquiry lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Scientific Inquiry memperoleh rata-rata nilai keterampilan proses sains 70,07 dan siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional memperoleh rata-rata nilai keterampilan proses sains 64,13. Hasil ini membuktikan jika metode inquiry bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di sekolah.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the content validity of instruments used at schools. In this research, content validity is measured from three aspects, namely material, construct, and language/culture/ethics aspects. The method used in this research uses quantitative descriptive methods. Content validity was assessed by 8 validators by filling a questionnaire. The results obtained from the validator are then analyzed by calculating the Aiken's V index. The Aiken's V value is used to ensure that the instrument used meets the content validity criteria and is categorized as suitable for use as a measuring tool. Based on analysis using Aiken's V, the averages obtained for the material, construct, and language/culture/ethics aspects were respectively in the very high, very high, and high categories. And overall the content validity of the instruments used in schools has met good content validity standards in the very high category. However, determining the criteria for a good assessment instrument is not only content validity, but also construct validity, empirical or item validity, and reliability. So, to further ensure that the quality of the end-of-semester assessment instruments used in schools is categorized as fully adequate, further research can be carried out by future researchers.
