Abstract

Every workplace has a risk of accidents and health problems. The university is a workplace that has a variety of laboratories with a variety of risks, so prevention and control efforts are needed to prevent accidents and health problems for lecturers, staff, and students. Prevention and control efforts are attempts to build a culture of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in Higher Education. This study was conducted to determine the type of hazard, risk assessment based on the source of danger and risk assessment based on the type of hazard in all laboratories at UINSU. Hazard identification and risk assessment were analyzed with Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and Determining Control (HIRADC) Technique. The identification results obtained by sources of hazards in the form of chemical hazard. Public Health Science Faculty has 2 sources of potential hazard in high risk level and 2 sources of potential hazards in high risk level were in Science and Technology Faculty. It is expected that the identification results can be evaluated and used as reference material to determine efforts to repair and control the risk of hazards in the laboratory at UINSU. The laboratories need to have guidelines and procedures for Occupational Safety Health.

Abstract

Indonesia as a country with a high risk of disaster needs to prepare hospital health facilities with an optimal level of preparedness. This study aims to analyze the preparedness of the Sembiring Deli Tua General Hospital in dealing with disasters based on the 2nd edition of the Hospital Safety Index (HSI) instrument issued by WHO in 2015 in Indonesian language which is validated. This study uses a mixed method, which combines quantitative and qualitative methods to answer the research objectives. The key informants in this study were the Deputy Director of the Sembiring Deli Tua Hospital in the field of General Administration and Human Resources, and tough informants from a number of hospital employees who were related to the research topic. The research begins with an assessment of the preparedness of the Sembiring Deli Tua Hospital with the HSI instrument. The results of the assessment are analyzed based on Structural Elements, Non-Structural Elements, and Elements of Emergency and Disaster Management. Further analysis is carried out by verifying the results of the assessment with observational data, in-depth interviews, and reviewing documents to reveal things that are considered important to answer research problems.Based on the analysis of Structural Safety Elements with an HSI score of 1 including level A (ready to face disasters), Non-Safety Structural Elements with a score of 0.952 including level A (ready to face disasters), and Emergency and Disaster Management Elements with an HSI score of 0.763 including the level category A (ready to face disaster). Based on the analysis of these three elements, it was found that the Sembiring Deli Tua General Hospital had a total HSI score of 0.938, including the level A category (ready to face disasters).

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is a leading indicator of service success that affects satisfaction in pharmaceutical services. If the service is in accordance with expectations, of course the quality of service is considered good and satisfactory, otherwise the service received is not satisfactory then the quality of service is considered bad. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy to the satisfaction of outpatients of Sembiring general hospital. The type of research used mix methods with cross sectional design on quantitative research and sequential explanatory strategy on qualitative research. The population were 1160 people, with a sample of 92 people obtained using purposive sampling. Data collection in quantitative research by means of questionnaire dissemination while in qualitative research by way of indept interview. The results of the study obtained variables related to the satisfaction of outpatients of sembiring general hospitals, namely: Physical evidence (p value = 0.003), Reliability (p value = 0.001), Responsiveness (p value = 0.003), Guarantee (p value = 0.005), and Empathy (p value = 0.000). The results in depth interview found that the variable most associated with patient satisfaction was empathy. It is recommended to The Outpatient Pharmacy of Sembiring General Hospital to maintain a good quality of service and continue to improve the quality of service to patients.

Abstract

Anxiety is an unclear concern felt by a person with uncertainty and helplessness feeling. Civil Servants experience anxiety in efforts to prevent Covid-19 which is caused by several factors, one of them is fear of being infected. This study is aimed to determine the most dominant factors that affect the anxiety of Civil Servants (PNS) in efforts to prevent Covid-19. This type of research was quantitative with cross sectional approach. The study population was all Civil Servants (PNS) who served in North Sumatra Provincial Health Office as many as 342 people, a sample of 117 people using a random sampling technique, using a questionnaire. Chi square test results showed that there were an effect of gender, age, education, family status, fear of infection, knowledge, development of information, history of infected coworkers, presence of people without symptoms / close contact, Rapid / Swab test in the office, prevention of infection in an office environment and social stigma against anxiety with p value <0.05. Meanwhile, health workers had no effect on anxiety with a value of p> 0.05. The results of multiple logistic regression tests showed that the most dominant factor influencing anxiety was fear of infection (OR = 60.109), history of infected coworkers (OR = 41.172), information development (35.911), and family status (0.028). It is recommended to respondents that positive lifestyle behaviors that can improve mental health well-being such as eating healthy foods, doing regular physical activity, sleeping well, getting adequate rest, and avoiding excessive social media use related to Covid-19 can have a negative impact mental health and continue to carry out and monitor the implementation of Covid-19 prevention efforts.

Abstract

Bed bugs (Cimex hemipterus) are a type of insect found in the wild. The impact of bed bug bites or Cimex can cause dermatitis and allergies. In general, efforts to control and eradicate bed bugs use synthetic insecticides. The use of synthetic insecticides is usually not environmentally friendly, therefore there is a need for other alternatives to replace synthetic insecticides. One type of plant that has the potential as a natural insecticide is the bark extract of duku (Lansium domesticum Corr.). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of duku peel extract on bed bug mortality at concentrations of 5%, 10% and 15%. This study uses a laboratory experimental method with a post test only control group design. Based on the results of the study with three repetitions, the average bed bug mortality at a concentration of 5% was able to kill 5 tails within 5 minutes. At a concentration of 10% it was able to kill 5 tails in 3 minutes, while a concentration of 15% was able to kill 5 bed bugs in 2 minutes. The result of statistical test with Annova test is 0.012. These results show < p Alpha (0.05), meaning that there is an effect on mortality of cimex hemipterus using duku bark extract of various concentrations. The results of this study concluded that duku bark extract (Lansium domesticum Corr.) has the potential as a natural insecticide.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis is a chronic infectious disease that is one of the main health problems in the world. The indicator used as an evaluation of the treatment carried out is the success rate of treatment. There are many factors that influence the success of TB treatment. Lungs. This study uses an observational analytic research method with a research design using a retrospective cohort study approach with a sample of 44 people. The results of the analysis using the chi-square test with the results obtained indicate that medication adherence (p-value = 0.009<0.005) and RR of 6.857, the role of PMO (p-value = 0.019<0.005) and RR of 5.7, family support (p-value = 0.012 <0.005) and RR of 6.417, knowledge (p-value = 0.033 <0.005) and RR of 5.00 and all of these variables indicate there is a significant relationship with the success of treatment of patients with pulmonary TB.Paru at Puskesmas Namorambe

Abstract

Daun serai (Cymbopogon citratus L) mengandung bahan kimia seperti alkaloid, saponin, tanin, polifenol dan flavonoid. Kandungan ini menunjukkan bahwa serai memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang cukup. Salah satu kasus kesehatan gigi yang banyak ditemui pada masyarakat yaitu karies gigi, untuk mengurangi masalah tersebut yaitu dengan menggunakan daun serai karena serai juga mudah dibudidayakan dan diakses oleh banyak orang sehingga muda dicari untuk dijadikan obat. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah mengetahui daya hambat Streptococcus mutans menggunakan ekstrak daun serai. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode Eksperimental Laboraturium dengan rancangan penelitian “Post Test Only Control Group Design”. Hasil penelitian dengan metode dilusi cair pada konsentrasi 100%, 75%, 50% dan 25% tidak dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Streptococcus mutans karena pada tabung terjadi kekeruhan. Sedangkan pada uji metode dilusi padat pada konsentrasi 100%, 75%, 50% dan 25% bakteri didalam petri tetap tumbuh, artinya ekstrak daun serai tidak dapat membunuh bakteri Streptococcus mutans. Penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun serai hanya mampu menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Streptococcus mutans pada konsentrasi 100% dan tidak mampu membunuh bakteri Streptococcus mutans.

Abstract

Analysis of Factors Affecting Patient Satisfaction Eye Polyclinic Outpatient Hospital dr. Tengku Mansyur, Tanjungbalai City in 2020. Thesis, Department of Public Health, Faculty of Public Health, Deli Husada Deli Tua Health Institute. This study aims to analyze the relationship between patient satisfaction based on responsiveness, assurance, reliability, empathy and tangiable variables with the quality of service in the eye polyclinic, outpatient installation of dr. Tengku Mansyur, Tanjungbalai City. The population of this study were the patients of the Eye Polyclinic, Outpatient Installation of RSUD dr. Tengku Mansyur, Tanjungbalai City as many as 253 respondents. The method used in this study was analyzed by means of the Chi-Square correlation test. The results of the research on the responsiveness variable showed that the level of responsiveness of Human Resources was 99.6%. For the assurance variable obtained 98.0%. For the reliability variable obtained 98.0%. For the empathy variable, it was obtained 93.7%. For the tangiable variable, it was obtained 90.5%. Based on research conducted from all variables, the service results are very good with a satisfaction level of 88.9%. So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the variable responsiveness, assurance, reliability, empathy and tangiability with patient satisfaction in the Eye Polyclinic Outpatient Hospital dr. Tengku Mansyur, Tanjungbalai City in 2020.

Abstract

Excellent service at public health Dolok Masihul is not as expected due to the partent family’s dissatisfaction about the doctor’s attitude in responding to the patient’s complaint, the attention of the doctor and the nurse when the patient complains about the illness staffered is still lacking, the action is less rapid in doing the treatment to the patient, The accountability for completing tasks is not timely and no good communication exists between doctor, nurse and patient. Excellent service in review of six dimensions that are Attitude, appearance, attention, action, accountability, and abilitity. This study aimedto determine the relationship between excellent service with outpatient satisfaction in publich health center dolok masihul. The research type was quantitative, with cross sectional method, 96 samples were taken with purposive sampling technique, The statistical test used clu-squera (a=0,05) with the following test result : attitude (P=0,003) < a ( 0.05), appearance (P=0.000< a (0.05), attention (P=0.012) < a (0.05), action (P=0.026) < a (0.05), accountability (P=0.009) < a (0.05), ability (P=0.0037) < a ( 0.05), on outpatient unit of public health Dolok masihul. The conclusion of this research is the satisfaction of outpatient patient at Dolok masihul Puskesmas will increase if attitude, appearance, attention, actin, responsibility and ability are improved. Efforts should be made to improve the attitude of friendliness, mastery of therapeutic communication, customer service, improve the discipline of all employees including doctors.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of health services, especially in health community centers was made health care quality in health community centers was easily overlooked. This study aims to analyze the relationship between patient satisfaction based on responsiveness, assurance, reliability, empathy and tangiable variables with the quality of service in the Sumbul health center in Dairi district. The study population was 69 respondents. The method used in this study is cross sectional, using analytical survey methods, and using a questionnaire for data collection. Data were analyzed by chi square test. Data using univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between perceived reliability (p=0,000), responsiveness (p=0,000), assurance (p=0,000), empathy (p=0,000), and tangiable (p=0,000). So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the variable responsiveness, assurance, reliability, empathy and tangiability with patient satisfaction Sumbul community health center Dairi district in 2018.
