Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ mathematical communication skills and problem-solving abilities on the topic of Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV) in Grade VIII of SMP Swasta HKBP Sidorame in the Academic Year 2025/2026. The background of this research is the low level of students’ skills in communicating mathematical ideas and in solving problems related to real-life situations. This research is a descriptive qualitative study with 14 eighth-grade students as the subjects. The instruments used consisted of an essay test on mathematical communication skills, a problem-solving test, and interviews. The data were analyzed through validity testing, reliability testing, difficulty level, and discriminating power, and then presented descriptively based on the established indicators. The results of the study indicate that students’ mathematical communication skills fall into the medium category, with 14.29% of students in the high category, 57.14% in the medium category, and 28.57% in the low category. In terms of problem-solving skills, 21.43% of students were in the high category, 64.29% in the medium category, and 14.28% in the low category. Students were relatively able to express mathematical ideas in both visual and written forms and to develop a solution plan, but they still experienced difficulties in interpreting ideas and reviewing their answers. The study concludes that students’ mathematical communication and problem-solving skills are in the medium category, thus more varied learning strategies are needed to improve these two abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of digital marketing strategies and product quality on the sales of micro, small, and medium enterprises in Kualuh Leidong District. The population in this study were culinary MSMEs in Kualuh Leidong District. The sampling technique used the Slovin formula, which is a sampling technique with special considerations so that it is worthy of being a Slovin sample and obtained a research sample of 60 respondents. The research variables used two variables, namely dependent and independent variables. For the independent variable (X) includes: digital marketing strategy (X1) and product quality (X2) and the dependent variable (Y) product sales. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire and multiple linear analysis with the equation obtained in this study is the analysis of Y = 8.263 + 0.228X1 + 0.154X2 it can be concluded that the constant value of 8.263 is the consistency value of the culinary MSME product sales variable in Kualuh Leidong District of 8.263. Based on the results of the partial hypothesis test (t test) shows that the digital marketing strategy (X1) has a positive and significant effect on product sales (Y) with a calculated t value of 3.280 and a significance value of 0.002 <0.05. Product quality (X2) also has a positive and significant effect on product sales (Y) with a calculated t value of 2.306 and a significance value of 0.025 <0.05. The results of the simultaneous test (F test) show that the digital marketing strategy and product quality together have a significant effect on the sales of culinary MSME products in Kualuh Leidong District, with a calculated F value of 7.253 and a significance value of 0.002 <0.05. And the results of the coefficient of determination test (R Square) show a value of 0.175, which means that the digital marketing strategy and product quality are able to explain variations in product sales by 17.5%, while the remaining 82.5% is influenced by other variables outside this study. Thus, it can be concluded that digital marketing strategies and product quality significantly influence the sales of culinary MSMEs in Kualuh Leidong District. Culinary MSMEs are advised to continuously optimize their digital marketing strategies and improve product quality to boost sales and business competitiveness .

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of students' perceptions toward the implementation of the full day school system on students' learning motivation at SMA Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal design through an explanatory survey. The research population included all 11th-grade students in the 2025/2026 academic year, with a sample of 149 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire, which had been tested for validity and reliability, and then analyzed using simple linear regression with the aid of SPSS Statistics. The results showed that students' perception of the full day school system has a positive and significant influence on learning motivation, with a coefficient of determination value of 42.7%, a positive regression coefficient of 0.575, and a significance level of $p < 0.001$. These findings indicate that the more positive students' perception of the full day school implementation, the higher their learning motivation, although the general perception of students remains in the medium to low category due to factors such as fatigue and boredom. This research confirms that the effectiveness of the full day school system heavily depends on students' experience and perception. Therefore, its implementation needs to be managed adaptively and oriented towards student well-being to support sustained learning motivation and academic achievement.

Abstract

Student delinquency is a common problem in schools and can negatively impact character development, the learning process, and the overall educational climate. Pancasila and Citizenship Education ( PPKn ) plays a strategic role in shaping students' personalities and morals by instilling the noble values of Pancasila, legal norms, and civic responsibility. This study aims to analyze and describe the role of PPKn teachers in preventing student delinquency in schools. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through observations, in-depth interviews with Civics and Citizenship Education ( PPKn ) teachers, and documentation of learning activities and student discipline. The results of the study indicate that Civics and Citizenship Education ( PPKn ) teachers fulfill their role not only as instructors but also as guides, counselors, and role models for students. Through values-based learning, moral discussions, and a personal approach, Civics and Citizenship Education ( PPKn ) teachers are able to instill discipline, responsibility, tolerance, and social awareness in students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mathematical reasoning ability of tenth-grade students at SMA Free Methodist Medan in solving trigonometry problems. The research employed a sequential mixed-methods design by combining quantitative and qualitative approaches, with a saturated sampling technique involving all tenth-grade students. The research instrument consisted of essay tests covering four indicators of mathematical reasoning ability: proposing conjectures, performing mathematical manipulations, providing proof and justification of solutions, and drawing conclusions. The results revealed that students' mathematical reasoning ability was categorized as high. The most mastered indicator was proposing conjectures, while the least mastered was drawing conclusions. Overall, the distribution of students' abilities falls into the categories of very high, high, medium, low, and very low. These findings indicate that students' mathematical reasoning ability still needs improvement, particularly in providing evidence and justification as well as drawing valid conclusions.
