Abstract

Tambak Oso Village is a densely populated village on the coast. Every day a lot of waste is generated, both household waste and waste from the embankment. The accumulation of garbage is a serious problem for Tambak Oso village, some residents even dump trash in the river. The collected waste is currently not being processed, the only way is just to burn them, which of course creates an odor and disturbs health, especially plastic waste. Therefore, training efforts are needed to process plastic waste into creative products, including accessories (bags, flower vases, flowers) and interior products (lampshades and furniture from used bottles / eco-bricks). By processing plastic waste into creative products, the problem of plastic waste can be overcome. Human resources that are suitable for this activity are PKK mothers (program at the village level to educate women on various aspects of family welfare). They will be trained in the plastic waste processing process so that they will generate new skills and business opportunities. The results obtained after the training were the knowledge of PKK mothers, especially on making chairs from used bottles (eco-bricks). With eco-bricks, they can reduce a lot of plastic waste. Besides, a garbage bank has also been formed to make it easier for mothers to help with plastic waste so that it can increasing the income of PKK mothers in Tambak Oso Village.

Abstract

Classroom design management is very important for the continuity of the learning process, especially in a university. At the time of the current Covid 19 pandemic, the learning process has now turned online without using classrooms. But this certainly cannot go on continuously. The government has launched the New Normal program, which means that all activities are slowly being carried out again but with a maximum health protocol including the lecture learning process. The condition of the Covid 19 pandemic requires a lecture room design that can adapt to the needs of health protocols to break the chain of the spread of the virus. The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of activity in the lecture hall and the facilities needed so that a lecture room design can be obtained by the current conditions of the Covid 19 pandemic. The method used is qualitative deductive by describing the conditions of the lecture room and distributing questionnaires to students by filling out online questionnaires. The results of the study, in terms of seat arrangement according to the new normal, show that the type that can accommodate students the most is the rectangle type with an average capacity of 40% of normal capacity. Meanwhile, the design of the barrier between students is needed in the lecture hall to avoid droplets and to make it safer and more comfortable to attend lectures. In the existing door handle, an additional handle is designed so that it can open the door not by hand but my arm. Thus, it is hoped that the design of the new normal lecture room can break the chain of spreading covid 19.

Abstract

2020 is a test year for each country globally. The Covid-19 pandemic is a scourge from various sides/fields of life in society, nation, and state. In Indonesia, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has been felt in the health, economy, even social and policy sectors. The pandemic, which started at the end of 2019 until now, still leaves homework for various countries, including Indonesia, to immediately carry out countermeasures effectively and efficiently. The policy that will then be taken sees the condition that is still unstable, then leads to WHO recommendations, namely the application of the new normal, including in Indonesia. The policy New Normal which leads to encouraging the implementation of "normal" social, national, and state life and side by side with Covid-19 while still implementing strict health protocols, will not work optimally if the level of public awareness is not high. People who are not alert and vigilant and lead to apathy about the policies and conditions of Covid-19 will have an even bigger "iceberg" impact. This study aims to disseminate information through a peer education strategy with the help of information technology-based media related to the implementation of the policy New Normal in the response to Covid 19 in Indonesia. This socialization is packed with technological developments and a touch of humanism in society and industrial development 5.0. This research is expected to be a form of the contribution of UPN "Veteran" East Java to the local community, nation, and state. In particular, this is to help make the policy effective New Normal in dealing with the impact of Covid 19 in Indonesia.

Abstract

Climate has a very decisive influence in influencing comfort conditions in space, one of which is its effect on lighting in the room. This lighting performance is greatly influenced by the performance of the openings that allow sunlight to enter the space so that the light intensity in the room can increase. There is a linear relationship between light intensity and aperture, so we need a way to optimize the performance of openings that can be controlled with a shade system or a device that can control the entry of sunlight into space. Active sunshade model or smart shading is one strategy to control incoming sunlight dynamically and to follow changes in light intensity that enters space. This actively adapting shading device is a shading device consisting of a vertical plane consisting of two panels that can move up and down according to the needs of room light intensity. This device is controlled by a control device that gets the light intensity data input from a sensor that is placed in the room to control the light intensity in the room. From the shading device that has been made, it is found that the performance of the device can adapt activities to the light intensity of space ranging from 100-200 lux in daytime conditions with an average panel opening of 12.81-14.42% of the window area.

Abstract

Bomber is an endeavor the village earth belongs to the village of Berbek. The bomber was founded in October 2019. This business is moving in the field of selling stationery supplies and services for college and office needs. There are several problems faced by Bumber, namely the creation of the Bumber logo not designed based on considerations in making a good logo. So that the logo does not reflect Bumber's character/identity/business image. Stand size not too big give the impression and feel cramped. So it's not easy to see potential customers. Banner material is not durable, so it must continue updated and requires continuous banner creation costs. Sign laying identifier is not well conceptualized, so put it carelessly, and even on the shoulder of the highway which can endanger road users. Location of the parking lot irregular because there is no sign indicating where to park. This business is still classified just started, so it still needs a lot of attractive promotional media in order can get a lot of customers. From the problems described above, then this community service aims to solve the problem by redesigning the Bumber logo which can imitate Bumber, designed the sign system for communicating Bumber's presence, and design promotions to increase the number of subscribers. To achieve this goal the Community Service Program uses both the preparation stage and the creation stage method. The preparation phase includes data collection (observation, interviews, questionnaires) and determining the media. Then the creation stage includes pre-production (verbal concepts, visual concepts, media concept), production (alternative design, final design, media execution), and post-production (media application, evaluation)
