Abstract

Artikel ini membahas peran teknologi chatbot sebagai solusi terdepan dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan referensi perpustakaan. Dalam menghadapi kebutuhan akan inovasi, khususnya dalam menyediakan layanan yang efisien dan responsif bagi pengguna perpustakaan modern, teknologi chatbot menjadi titik fokus penelitian. Latar belakang penelitian menyoroti perubahan mendasar dalam konteks layanan perpustakaan, di mana perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi menjadi pendorong utama. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengeksplorasi implementasi chatbot sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas layanan referensi perpustakaan. Melalui metode library research, penelitian ini melibatkan analisis literatur dan sumber informasi terkait perkembangan teknologi chatbot dan penerapannya dalam lingkungan perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknologi chatbot dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan responsibilitas dan ketersediaan layanan referensi perpustakaan. Dengan memberikan akses instan dan efisien terhadap informasi, chatbot merajut koneksi yang lebih erat antara perpustakaan dan pengguna. Kesimpulan dari artikel ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi chatbot bukan hanya memperkaya pengalaman pengguna, tetapi juga mendorong pencapaian tujuan perpustakaan dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital yang terus berkembang. Dengan demikian, chatbot tidak hanya merupakan inovasi, melainkan juga merupakan alat unggul yang mampu membawa perpustakaan ke tingkat layanan yang lebih tinggi.

Abstract

Komunikasi merupakan proses penyampaian pesan atau informasi dari pihak satu ke pihak lainnya. Dalam bentuk pelayanan, komunikasi menjadi salah satu hal penting untuk dikembangkan. Bentuk komunikasi yang harus diterapkan yaitu komunikasi yang baik dan efektif. Artikel ini dibuat bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pentingnya sebuah komunikasi yang efektif dalam hal mengelola dan meningkatkan pelayanan di perpustakaan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan juga studi kasus. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data berdasarkan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa komunikasi yang terbentuk di Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, sudah cukup efektif dalam pelayanannya. Informasi yang disampaikan oleh pustakawan kepada pemustaka sudah dapat diterima dan dipahami dengan baik. Bahkan komunikasi yang terjalin antara pustakawan dengan pemustaka dapat menyelesaikan beberapa masalah yang dikeluhkan oleh pemustaka. Layanan perpustakaan ini juga semakin meningkat ketika antar pustakawan dapat menjalin komunikasi yang mengarah pada satu tujuan yang sama di dalam Perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo.

Abstract

In the digital era, the role of school librarians has evolved, making practical communication skills a key component in providing quality services and supporting the learning process. This research examines the urgency of interpersonal communication skills in maximizing the potential of librarians in the library work environment at SMAN 1 Ponorogo. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data was collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with 3 school librarians, 5 teachers, and 10 students, and analysis of related documents. The research results show that librarians' interpersonal communication skills play an essential role in Increasing students' reading interest and visits to the library, Facilitating effective collaboration with teachers in supporting the curriculum, Increasing service efficiency and resource management, and Creating a conducive learning environment in the library. The main findings reveal that librarians with good interpersonal communication skills can better understand the information needs of students and teachers, overcome obstacles in using information technology in libraries, and play an active role in school literacy programs. This research concludes that developing the interpersonal communication skills of librarians at SMAN 1 Ponorogo needs to be a priority to optimize library functions in supporting the school's vision and mission. Recommendations include regular communication training, mentoring programs, and performance evaluations that include aspects of interpersonal communication.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang pola penelusuran yang dilakukan oleh pemustaka di Perpustakaan Universitas Islam Negeri Mataram. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pola penelusuran informasi yang dilakukan oleh pemustaka dengan mesin pencari Google. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pola penelusuran yang dilakukan pemustaka di Perpustakaan Universitas Islam Negeri Mataram cenderung menggunakan fitur penelusuran sederhana. fitur yang bisa digunakan yaitu fitur penelusuran gambar, berita, video dan kalkulator dan ekstensi file. Dalam penggunaan fitur-fitur tersebut pemustaka hanya memasukkan kata kunci secara langsung pada kolom pencarian kemudian memilih tab gambar untuk pencarian gambar, video untuk pencarian video, berita, pada penelusuran lanjutan fitur yang bisa dipakai yaitu penelusuran berdasarkan jenis file dengan menambahkan ekstensi file pada bagian akhir kata kunci yang dicari (.doc, .docx, .pdf, dll). Pemustaka dalam menggunakan jenis file tidak mengakses melalui penelusuran lanjutan, tetapi langsung memasukkan kata kunci di kolom pencarian ditambah dengan ekstensi file dalam pencarian

Abstract

A B S T R A C T This article explains the importance of communication between librarians as providers of information and users as recipients of information. Communication in the context of library organizations is an essential need in a variety of forms, including verbal communication, written communication, non-verbal communication, and direct face-to-face interaction. The focus of this article is related to effective verbal communication strategies in increasing interaction with library users. The research method uses case studies and literature studies, which he took from trusted sources or previous research. The purpose of this research was to provide informants with an overview of communication strategies in the library environment as well as steps that can be used as a reference to improve interaction between informants, librarians and libraries. Based on the results of research on verbal communication in the Muhammadiyyah University Ponorogo Library, one of which uses social media, namely You Tube, Instagram and Tik Tok, this was obtained based on observations that verbal communication in the Muhammadiyyah University library was solid, short and clear, this is in accordance with the theory that has been stated. convey the researchers before us.

Abstract

Strategy is a way or method for planning over a long period of time which is expected to achieve certain goals and principles. In communication, strategies are also needed to achieve communication goals. Libraries in improving their usability need to update the methods used to attract user attention. Changes are made either through changing regulations, adding programs and services, or improving communication strategies with users. One communication tool is social media. Including Surya at SDMT, the strategy used in the SDMT library is using an approach to students or users, guidance in the e-library, working with guardian teachers, the Surya SDMT Ponorogo library also provides a display of new books which are available on the school notice board and provide good information directly or indirectly, which aims to create communication so that it can improve the quality that occurs in the library.

Abstract

This scientific paper discusses understanding the diversity of users in library services through intercultural communication at the PPM Daarul Huda Putri Banjar Library, MTQ Namira Lamongan, and the Krakahan Tanjung Brebes Village Library, Central Java. How can communication as a librarian be established with library users with the challenges of diversity that occur. Reviewed through intercultural communication and educational background. aims to find out and understand intercultural communication that occurs in libraries between users and librarians, as well as being able to find out and find solutions to the factors that cause obstacles to communication that occurs in libraries. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods and also case studies. With data collection techniques based on observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that to understand the diversity of users in library services, such as in terms of adult age, it is possible to provide a relaxing place to read, several competitions that attract the interest of young children and elementary school children. And in intercultural communication, language diversity can be identified, for example, services such as providing information needed by users can be carried out by equalizing the use of language in communication using the language that unifies the nation, namely Indonesian.

Abstract

This paper discusses strategies for using social media in the Muhammadiyah Ponorogo University Library. This strategy involves outreach through posters, banners and pamphlets uploaded to social media such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and WhatsApp. Social media acts as a tool for promotion, communication, and handling direct communication obstacles in libraries. Librarians can also provide feedback, suggestions, criticism and suggestions via social media, which supports efforts to improve library quality and awareness. The use of social media also helps libraries become better known in the community and facilitates the exchange of information with related agencies. Challenges related to the use of social media include difficulty adapting to technological developments and a lack of organization in the use of social media in libraries. Therefore, good communication, both through social media and writing, is considered the key to making a library friendly and comfortable.

Abstract

This article explains how librarians align their roles with the evolution of information technology in managing libraries. Information is becoming a digital native consumption which requires librarians to innovate so that library information can be accessed easily. Librarians also need to have knowledge of technology to make it easier to transfer data from physical to file form. This article focuses on methods for facing the digital era to develop library information needed by the information society. The aim of this research is to introduce the image of digital librarians and the attitudes of librarians in facing the challenges of current technology.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang bagaimana cara pengoptimalisasi layanan perpustakaan sehingga memberikan dampak yang baik dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa di zaman dimana anak-anak banyak yang kecanduan dengan gadgetnya, sehingga perpustakaan dapat menjadi tempat yang nyaman dan digemari oleh anak-anak peserta didik. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yaitu prosedur penelitian yang dapat menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis maupun lisan dari orang-orang dan perilaku yang diamati. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pertama, pelayanan yang diberikan oleh perpustakaan adalah bimbingan, referensi, buku-buku ilmu pengetahuan yang berupa fiksi dan non fiksi, dan fasilitas yang lengkap dan nyaman. Kedua, pengembangan yang dilakukan adalah dengan terus memperbarui buku bacaan yang ada di perpustakaan sehingga menimbulkan rasa penasaran pada anak. Ketiga, bimbingan yang dilakukan oleh pustakawan adalah dengan terus mengingatkan peserta didik dengan memberikan jadwal setiap hari perkelasnya.
