JURNAL BADATI diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Kristen Indonesia Maluku. KATA BADATI adalah sebuah nama yang berasal dari kosa-kata bahasa daerah Maluku Tengah, tepatnya masyarakat Ambon dan Lease. Badati, secara singkat, adalah suatu suasana yang tumbuh dan terpelihara bergenerasi dalam keseharian aktivitas bersama secara kekeluargaan di mana setiap orang atau keluarga, baik dalam pendekatan orang per orang, keluarga (baik dalam garis lurus atau menyimpang), atau anak negeri/masyarakat dalam satu negeri/desa, menunjukkan kepeduliannya untuk turut menanggung suatu beban (biasanya secara material) bersama yang sebelumnya tidak bisa ditanggung oleh seseorang atau suatu keluarga. Pilihan nama BADATI mengandung makna filosofi, yakni menunjuk pada upaya untuk mencerdaskan dan memberdayakan orang demi kesejahteraannya (individu, kelompok dan masyarakat) melalui pikiran-pikiran dari hasil penelitian kajian teoritik tidak dapat dilakukan secara sendiri-sendiri tanpa bekerja bersama dengan melibatkan pihak lain sebagai sistem sumber (Jejaring). Di dalam prinsip bekerja bersama itu, secara esensial, bertujuan untuk memandirikan orang (individu, kelompok dan masyarakat) sebagai subyek dengan menggali dan memaksimalkan potensi yang dimilikinya secara bermartabat. BADATI memiliki nomor ISSN 1907-5340 (cetak) diterbitkan secara cetak sejak tahun 2007 dan pada tahun 2019 Jurnal Badati diterbitkan secara online sejak Volume 1 no 1 tahun 2019 dengan no ISSN 2722-3248 (online) oleh Fakultas Ilmu Sosial & Ilmu Politik sampai sekarang. Dengan tujuan untuk mempublikasikan hasil kajian ilmiah dan penelitian dalam bidang ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora. BADATI menerima tulisan berbentuk riset kuantitatif maupun kualitatif dari akademisi, praktisi, peneliti yang relevan dengan topik ilmu sosial dan humaniora. Artikel yang dikirimkan haruslah belum pernah atau tidak sedang dalam proses dimuat pada jurnal lainnya. Artikel yang masuk harus sesuai dengan petunjuk penulisan atau format yang telah ditetapkan. Editor akan menolak artikel yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan tanpa proses lebih lanjut. Artikel yang telah memenuhi persyaratan akan dinilai kelayakannya oleh reviewer melalui proses blind-review. BADATI terbit dua kali dalam satu tahun, April dan November.

Abstract

Rolling power outages in Makassar City as a result of load management due to the long dry season have caused anger among the community. A decision to turn off electricity in residents' homes from 2 to 7 hours may be unavoidable by the National Electricity Company (PLN). However, because the PLN leadership was unable to communicate during a crisis, this resulted in anger among the community.The approach used in this article is a qualitative research approach. An approach that aims to understand the phenomena experienced by research subjects by utilizing various scientific methods. The method used is an in-depth case study regarding load management and power outages in Makassar City. The results shown are that PLN failed to predict the unclear conditions at the start of the crisis and also failed to build communication with the city government and the community. They do not provide good information and explanations that can be accepted by the public.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze; (1) employee work culture, (2) employee work motivation,(3) work culture relationship with employee motivation. The population of this study were allemployees at the Maluku Provincial BKKBN Representative Office, amounting to 115 people.The number of samples is based on the table developed by Issac and Michael, ie if thepopulation is 115 people, with an error rate of 5%, then the total sample of 83 people isdetermined at randomly simple. The analysis used is chi square analysis. The results showedthat; (1) Work culture with attitude indicators is a happy, sincere and responsible attitudetowards work and shows friendly and polite attitude; (2) High employee motivation is shownby employees working earnestly and responsibly and having motives for meeting economicneeds, improving welfare, improving careers and rewards, and having clear hopes and desirestowards increasing incentives and (3) Cultural variables work which includes attitudes,behavior and discipline is positively related to employee motivation in the form of motives,hopes, needs and incentives.

Abstract

 The impact of Covid-19 hit the entire Indonesian economy, one of which was the Indonesian tourism industry. As is the case with the Regency Tourism Office facing the challenges of the Covid-19 outbreak.The lack of visitors in all tourism destinations in Kolaka and the weakening of MSME income in Kolaka. This study describes how to answer the marketing communication strategy of the Kolaka Regency Tourism Office during the Covid-19 pandemic by using a qualitative descriptive method with a case study of marketing communication in a descriptive approach. The data collection technique used was in-depth interviews with key informants from the Kolaka Regency Tourism Office. The results of the research on several strategies applied during the pandemic are similar in Agus Hermawan's study, namely the promotion mix. The results have been updated following the pandemic conditions so that the most superior and reliable strategy for the Kolaka Regency Tourism Office is word of mouth marketing (WOM) and word of mouth marketing through digital or Electronic Word Of Mouth (E-WOM). This marketing is considered effective during a pandemic because of the trust, impression and positive experience by buyers of the services offered so that they are able to persuade, motivate potential customers more in deciding to buy. Other strategies as support include giving discounts, providing guides, and of course everything is implemented in accordance with health protocols

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of dimension work motivation (salary, employment, promotion opportunities, supervision) and dimension organizational climate (responsibility, identity, warmth, support, conflict) on employee performance at the Maluku Provincial Social Service. The research is an explanatory research with data collection in one shot study  or in cross-section through a questionnaire. Due to the small population, 86 saturated samples were used. Data were analyzed with multiple linear regression.The results showed that (1) work motivation consisting of salary, work itself, promotion, supervision and organizational climate consisting of responsibilities, identity, warmth, support, conflict simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (2) Salary is a variable of work motivation factors that has a positive and significant influence and is most dominant on employee performance and (3) Warmth is a variable of organizational climate factors that has a positive and significant effect and is the second dominant on the performance of employees of the Maluku Provincial Social Service.

Abstract

Quantitative research can be interpreted as a method based on the philosophy of positivism, used to research certain populations or samples, sampling techniques are generally carried out randomly, data collection uses research instruments, data analysis is quantitative/statistical with the aim of testing predetermined hypotheses. . included in quantitative methods are experimental and survey methods, therefore the method used in this research is a survey method, to obtain data from certain natural (not artificial) places, but researchers carry out treatments in collecting data, for example by distributing questionnaires, tests, structured interviews and so on. Based on the results of the research above with 40 respondent answers and 27 indicators or questions, the researcher obtained the results using several tests including validity tests to correct and find out whether each statement in the questionnaire with the number of each variable from the test results was known, that the calculation results are valid. Then the researcher continued with the reliability test, t test (partial), f test (simultaneous), knowing that the independent variables together had a significant effect on the dependent variable, thus from these two data tests the hypothesis was accepted. This means that Organizational Communication has an impact on the Leadership Style of Millennial Village Heads in Ambon City. Next, the researcher used a simple regression test and coefficient of determination test to calculate the magnitude of the impact of the independent variable on the dependent variable, so it can be shown that the percentage impact of organizational communication is 42.3% while the remaining 47.7% is influenced by other indicators. Variable Y is the leadership style of millennial village heads with indicators namely: democratic style, bureaucratic style have a significant effect on variable X so that the hypothesis results are accepted.

Abstract

Leadership style is the way a leader is in the process of directing and influencing someone in order to achieve the agency's or organization's goals. In this study using 5 leadership styles that will find out the relationship with employee discipline, namely autocratic leadership style, paternalistic style, charismatic style, Laissez Faire style and democratic leadership style. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach research method. Based on the analysis of the Leadership Style on the Leadership of the Manekar District Head, Tambrauw Regency, it can be concluded that the Democratic leadership style has been implemented well, while the Laissez Faire (free control) style in practice is only to test how much ability and responsibility is given to his subordinates. . The authoritarian leadership style is defined as obedience to the leader as a relationship between superiors and subordinates. For employee work discipline, based on indicators: punctuality discipline, discipline in using office equipment properly, high responsibility discipline, and discipline towards office rules, it can be concluded that employees who work at the Manekar District Office, Tambrauw Regency, West Papua Province can run and implement good work discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze (1) the effect of income on the level of consumption, (2) the effect of the number of family members on the level of consumption, (3) the effect of the level of education on the level of consumption. The study was conducted in the South Leitimur District of Ambon City for 2 (two) months, from March to April 2022. The population used in this study were all the heads of poor families in the South Leitimur District of Ambon City as many as 1355 people. The sample is determined by simple random as much as 10% of the population as many as 135 people. The results of the study conclude that (1) there is a significant positive effect of income on the level of consumption, (2) there is a significant positive effect of the number of family members on the level of consumption, (3) there is a significant positive effect of the level of education on the level of consumption.

Abstract

The use of Malay as an intermediary language throughout the Indonesian archipelago is linked to the rise of Islamic kingdoms and the spread of Islam, which was a result of the growth of regional trade. Ambonese Malay is one of the regional languages used by the Moluccan people. Ambonese Malay is spoken by most Moluccans which includes Ambon City, Lease Islands and so on. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of the use of Ambonese Malay on the formation of Moluccan identity. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the use of Ambonese Malay had a positive and significant effect on the formation of Moluccan identity. It can be seen from the results of the partial test (t test), namely t count 11,553 t table 1,667. Then it can be concluded that the hypothesis is acceptable. The value of the coefficient of determination (R2). At 0.666 or 66.6%. This shows that the percentage of influence of Ambonese Malay on the formation of Moluccan identity is 66.6% while the remaining 33.4% is influenced by other variables that are not found in other models.

Abstract

Pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap keberadaan program study Ilmu Komunikasi pada Perguruan Tinggi Swasta khususnya UKIM dapat mempengaruhi berbagai persepsi dari masyarakat terhadap keberadaan dan output yang nanti akan dihasilkan dari Program Study Ilmu Komunikasi di Universitas Kristen Indonesia Maluku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa SMA kelas XI terhadap keberadaan Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi pada Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik di Universitas Kristen Indonesia Maluku. Pemahaman mereka terhadap Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi  yang peneliti lakukan pada SMA Negeri 12, dapat dilihat bahwa hampir semua informan kurang paham tentang Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi khususnya yang ada pada Universitas Kristen Indonesia Maluku. Persepsi masyarakat terhadap keberadaan  Program Studi Ilmu komunikasi dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dalam diri serta faktor eksternal dari luar. Dimana kurangnya informasi yang diperoleh melalui penggunaan pola komunikasi yang berbeda di masyarakat, sehingga menimbulkan perbedaan persepsi yang juga menentukan pilihan masyarakat khususnya siswa-siswi SMA terhadap Perguruan Tinggi khususnya program studi setelah mereka lulus.

Abstract

The research aims to determine and analyze the impact of social media on the promotion of Siwang Paradise in Ambon City. In this study, the data collection technique used was a questionnaire (questionnaire), observation and interviews. instagram, and youtube, with measuring indicators namely; the type of information, the number of posts (updates), the number of followers, and account users have a significant influence on Siwang Paradise tourism promotion in Ambon City. This is based on the t test which means the hypothesis is accepted, based on the value determination test (r2) showing that 66.7% of the influence of Siwang Paradise tourism promotion (Y) is influenced by social media (X). while the remaining 33.3% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study, variable Y, namely Siwang Paradise tourism promotion with indicators, Namely; natural conditions, clean & cool air, beautiful environment, natural spots, photo spots, and culinary spots have a significant effect on variable X, so that the hypothesis results are accepted.
