Abstract

This community service program was initiated in response to the low halal certification rate among food-sector MSMEs in Kadungora District, Garut Regency, where only 11.9% of active enterprises were certified. Amid the legal obligation mandated by Indonesia’s Law No. 33 of 2014 on Halal Product Assurance and the growing domestic and international demand for halal products, this intervention was designed to address key barriers such as low literacy, limited access, and technical challenges—particularly within the self-declare certification scheme. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, engaging MSME actors as key agents of change through two strategic stages: entrepreneurship seminars and intensive technical mentoring by certified Halal Product Process Assistants (PPH). The program outcomes indicate a significant increase in participants’ understanding of halal certification urgency, with Likert-scale scores rising from 2.3 to 4.5, and successful facilitation of certification for 25 MSMEs within 20 working days. Post-program monitoring revealed that 18 MSMEs integrated into digital platforms, achieved an average revenue increase of 20%, and received inquiries from local distributors, alongside early-stage export orientation toward markets in Malaysia and Singapore. The implications of this initiative demonstrate that a systematic education-and-assistance approach can serve as a replicable national model to enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs in the halal industry ecosystem and support Indonesia’s vision of becoming a global halal economic hub.

Abstract

The success of madrasahs can be measured through positive changes in student learning patterns that are enjoyable and aimed at producing intellectually, spiritually, and morally competent generations based on the values of Pancasila and Islam rahmatan lil ‘alamin. The implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project Rahmatan Lil Alamin (P5RA) in madrasahs under KKMI Paciran, Lamongan, was carried out through optimizing teacher mentoring programs. This mentoring aims to strengthen teachers’ abilities in understanding, planning, and integrating P5RA values into the learning process. The Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach was used to explore the human resources potential of each madrasah. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, with teachers as the primary data sources, and madrasah principals and the Head of KKMI as secondary sources. The results showed a significant increase in P5RA implementation, rising by 26%, from 68% to 94% of madrasahs. The success indicators include teachers’ improved ability to integrate the values of religious moderation, tolerance, and social care into both classroom learning and school culture. Supporting factors include the commitment of school leadership, collaboration among teachers, and active community participation. However, challenges remain, particularly the limited human resources, requiring ongoing assistance and capacity building

Abstract

Humanitarian action is a tangible manifestation of social awareness aimed at fostering solidarity among community members. The "Ready To Be A Blood Hero" program was initiated to raise public awareness about the importance of humanitarian contributions through real actions. This program was carried out using educational and social action methods, involving the academic community of Universitas Padjadjaran and the surrounding society. A total of 270 participants registered for the event, with 216 attending. After receiving education and undergoing health screening, 159 participants were declared eligible to actively participate in this solidarity initiative. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge, particularly among first-time donors, where the percentage of participants with good knowledge increased from 25% to 62.5% after the educational session. Additionally, the program successfully collected 159 units of blood, which were donated to the Blood Transfusion Unit to help meet community needs. These achievements demonstrate that proper education can effectively encourage public participation in humanitarian actions. This program is expected to serve as a sustainable model for future solidarity movements

Abstract

Community Service through PLS-SEM Training with SmartPLS 4 aims to enhance the analytical skills of facilitators in the Beginner Independent Workforce Program. This program is designed to strengthen the entrepreneurial capacity of beginner entrepreneurs in Indonesia, focusing on the development of micro and small businesses through comprehensive training in business planning, marketing, financial management, and product development. The training method used is participatory and practical, incorporating a real-project simulation with a focus on field data collected by participants, who are facilitators. This method encourages active engagement, allowing facilitators to directly apply their own data in PLS-SEM analysis to understand relationships between variables influencing business success. This method provides a solid foundation for making more data-driven, informed decisions. The participatory approach used in the training allows facilitators to be directly involved in the mentoring process, helping beginner entrepreneurs with relevant and effective solutions. The training results show a significant improvement in facilitators' analytical skills, with an average pre-test score of 53 and a post-test score of 89.5. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test confirms a significant difference, indicating the training's effectiveness in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of mentoring. Additionally, facilitators are able to provide better insights into market potential and guide beginner entrepreneurs in facing market challenges.

Abstract

Home visit services at community health centers (Puskesmas) are a key strategy for improving access and the quality of care for chronic patients in the community. However, these services still face administrative challenges, such as manual documentation processes, delays in reporting patient data, and suboptimal team coordination due to limited human resources. This Community Service Program (PKM) was initiated to address these issues by implementing a digital-based Nursing Management System (NMS) to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of home visit services at Puskesmas Majalaya. The method used was a participatory approach, consisting of four stages: (1) needs analysis through interviews and field observations, (2) development of a web-based application using Laravel tailored to home visit workflows, (3) training and mentoring of nursing staff on system usage, and (4) evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) combined with service performance indicators. The results demonstrated a significant reduction in documentation time (from 40 minutes to 12 minutes per visit), increased completeness of patient family data—including digital genograms, family medical history, and environmental risk factors (from 53% to 95%)—and improved patient adherence to follow-up visit schedules (from 68% to 90%). The utilization of the digital-based NMS has proven to improve administrative efficiency, optimize coordination among home care teams, and enhance service quality. Therefore, it is recommended that this system be adopted more widely across other primary healthcare facilities.

Abstract

The community service program at KB-TK Aisyiyah Wonoayu aims to improve the quality of early childhood education by integrating the flipped classroom model and SWOT analysis for institutional development. The implementation method includes problem identification, socialization, training of principals and teachers, application of technology, mentoring, and evaluation. It begins with a SWOT analysis to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the school, which guides the design and implementation of the flipped classroom approach tailored to the needs of the school. Teachers are drilled to develop open modules based on flippedclassroom that allow students to learn at home through videos and engage in interactive classroom activities. The results of the study showed a 100% increase in the performance of the principal, marked by the success of the SWOT analysis and the revision of the school's vision and mission. In addition, 90% of teachers experienced an increase in the development of teaching modules and the use of AI technology and flipped classroom applications. The sustainability of this program is expected to support principals in preparing the 2025/2026 school program and maintaining the flipped classroom as an effective learning strategy, thereby increasing school competitiveness

Abstract

This mentoring program aims to improve the skills of Elementary School (SD) and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) teachers in Kacangan Village, Andong District, Boyolali, in developing textbooks based on local wisdom and in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum. The approach used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Workshop-Based Training, where teachers play an active role in the process of developing teaching materials. This activity includes training, discussion, and intensive assistance to compile and adapt textbooks so that they are more contextualized with student characteristics. The results of this mentoring showed a positive response from the teachers. A total of 61.5% stated that they would “Yes, definitely” implement the results of the workshop, while the other 38.5% answered “Maybe”. This reflects optimism as well as caution in the implementation of the program. This assessment shows that the strategies implemented are considered realistic and workable in daily learning. In addition, this approach also increases teachers' awareness of the importance of integrating local values in education. The implications of this program include improving the quality of learning and strengthening cultural identity in the developed textbooks. To ensure the sustainability of this program, support is needed through collaboration between schools, communities and local governments so that the innovations that have been introduced can continue. Thus, education in Kacangan Village can progress without losing its local cultural roots.

Abstract

Keerom Regency in Papua, Indonesia, is a remote area facing significant geographical, social, and cultural challenges. Limited access to educational resources and a lack of professional training opportunities for Catholic religious education teachers have contributed to the low quality of teaching. Moreover, the scarcity of contextually relevant teaching materials makes it difficult for teachers to deliver lessons that connect with students' daily lives. This community service project aimed to enhance teachers’ competencies through a workshop on developing teaching modules based on the Case-Based Learning (CBL) approach. The program used a quasi-experimental method with pre-tests and post-tests to measure the improvement in participants’ pedagogical skills. The training combined theoretical concepts and practical sessions, emphasizing the development of CBL-based teaching modules relevant to students’ social, cultural, and religious contexts. The results showed a significant increase in teachers’ competence, with post-test scores improving by 80% compared to the pre-test results. The participants’ active engagement and enthusiasm throughout the training further demonstrated the success of the program. This initiative contributed not only to improving teachers’ skills but also to enhancing the overall quality of Catholic religious education in remote areas. Sustainable implementation requires ongoing training and adequate educational support.
