<![CDATA[The objective of this research is to find out whether the application of cooperative script technique improve the students’ reading comprehension or not. It is a pre-experimental research. It conducted at first grade of SMK Negeri 1 Tolitoli that was X PK 1 in academic year 2016/2017. The writer gave a pre-test to measure the students’ previous ability in reading comprehension. Then, a post-test to find out the students’ reading comprehension after given treatment which is the application of cooperative script technique. The writer used SPSS 16.0 program to analyze the data. The result of data analysis showed that cooperative script technique give a significant effect to the students in comprehending a recount text. The mean score of the post-test (82,67) was higher than the mean score of pre-test (69,87). Then, the testing hypothesis showed that the value of Tcount was greater than Ttable (13.797 > 2.054). In conclusion, the application of cooperative script technique is effective to improve students’ reading comprehension in recount text. <![CDATA[The objective of the research is to prove whether the use of hangman games effective in increasing students’ . This pre-experimental study use 22 students as a sample. They are grade VIId of SMP N 1Galang . The procedure of this research consists of pretest, treatment, and posttest. The result It can be seen by the difference of the mean score between pre-test and post-test. The mean score of pre-test is 56.72 while in the post-test improved up to 90.64. The data of this research are analyzed by using SPSS Program version 16.0. Then the data of both tests are analyzed by using T-test, and the result shows that the T-test value 9.681 is high than T-table value 2.080. <![CDATA[ The objective of the research is to identify whether the use of story map technique can improve students’ ability in writing narrative text. This pre-experimental study uses 23 students as a sample. They are grade eight at MTs DDI Kel. BaruTolitoli. The procedure of this research consists of pretest, treatment, and posttest. The researcher gives pretest and posttest to know the use of story map technique can improve the students’ ability in writing narrative text or not. The result of the analysis shows that story map technique contributes greatly to the students in comprehending narrative text. It can be seen by the difference of the mean score between pre-test and post-test. The mean score of pre-test is 62.30 while in the post-test improve up to 82.09. The data of this research are analyzed by SPSS Program 16. Moreover, the Minimum Mastery Criterion of English lesson is 75 (seventy-five). Then the data of both test are analyze by using T-test, and the result show that the T-test value 7.572 is greater than T-table value 2.074. <![CDATA[ The objective of the research is to prove whether the use of crossword puzzle is effective to increase students’ vocabulary. This pre-experimental study uses 23 students as a sample. They are grade VIIIc of SMP Negeri 1 Galang. The procedure of this research consists of pretest, treatment, and posttest. The result of the analysis shows that crossword puzzle contributes greatly to increse the students’ vocabulary. It can be seen by the difference of the mean score between pre-test and post-test. The mean score of pre-test is 67.30 while in the post-test increase up to 90.87. The data of this research are analyzed by using SPSS Program version 16.0. Then the data of both tests are analyzed by using T-test, and the result shows that the T-test value 8.502 is high than T-table value 2.074. <![CDATA[This research aims to find out whether the use of List-Group-Label Strategy can increase students’ vocabulary at the seventh grade of MTs DDI Darul Ulum kalangkangan. This research design belongs to a quasi-experimental research. There were two classes, namely VII A as control class (without List-Group-Label Strategy) with the total number of 23 students and VII B as experiment class (taught by List-Group-Label Strategy) with the total number of 22 students. The researcher gave pre-test and post-test to both groups. The researcher used SPPS 16.0 program to analyze the data. The result of data analysis showed that List-Group-Label strategy give a significant effect to the increasing students vocabulary specially noun. The mean score of post-test experiment (65.4091) was higher than the mean score of post-test control (49.6087). Then, the testing hypothesis showed that the value of score T-test is greater than Ttable (-2.862 > 1.681). In conclusion, the application of List-Group-Label strategy is effective to increasing students’ vocabulary especially noun. Key words: Increasing, noun, and List-Group-Label. ]]>

<![CDATA[The objective of the research is to find out whether the use of self-questioning strategy improve the students’ reading comprehension in narrative text.The design of this research is experimental research. The population of this researchis the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Tolitoli in the academic year of 2016/2017. The number of the subjects is 35 students. The data areobtain by administering reading test to the VIII B. The research is started by giving pre-test, treatments,and post-test. The data of the test areanalyze by using t-test formula to know the difference of the students’comprehension in reading narrative text. In the pre-test, the mean score of the experimental research is 49.34. The mean score of post-test of the experimental research is 83.20. The result of the t-test differenceis 11.848and t-table is2.032. It means that t-value is higherthan t-table (11.848>2.032). The calculation reveal that the hypothesis about asignificant difference on reading comprehension between students who arethrough narrative text by using Self-Questioning strategy.Based on the research conduct, it is prove that the use of Self-Questioning strategy is effective as a strategy to improve students’ Reading Comprehension In Narrative Text of VIII Grade At SMPN 3 Tolitoli. <![CDATA[The objective of this research is to find out whether pop song significant or not to improve students’ listening skill at SMP Negeri 2 Galang. This research is pre-experimental research design consists of one group pre-test and post-test. There are two variables of this research namely dependent and independent variables. The independent variable is Pop Song and dependent variable is students’ listening skill at eight grade of SMP Negeri 2 Galang. The Population of this research is the eight grade of SMP Negeri 2 Galang in 2016/2017 academic year. The sample of this research is selected by using purposive sampling technique and the selected class is VIIIa consisted of 24 students. In collecting the data, the researcher conduct test covered pre and post test in order to measure the students’ listening skill before and after given pop song media. The researcher analized the data statically.The result of the test showed that the students’ mean score in posttest 72,91 is higher than pretest 31,16. To know the significant difference between pretest and posttest, the researcher compared the value of t-counted and t-table by applying 0.05 level of significance for two-tailed test with 23 degree of freedom (24-1=23), the researcher found that the t – table is 3,768. It means that the t-counted (9,15) is higher than t-table (3,768) and the hypothesis of this research is accepted. <![CDATA[ The objective of this study is to prove that think aloud can improve students’ reading comprehension. The sample of this research is class VIII B of SMP N 3 Tolitoli Utara in 2016/2017 academic year that selected by using purposive sampling technique. The total number of sample is 20 students. Instrument which is used to collect data is test. The data is analyzed by using statistical analysis in order to know the significant difference of the achievement of the students’ in pre-test and post-test..The mean scores of the students’ score in the pre-test is37.60 and mean score in the post-test is68.70. Based on the result of the statistical computation, the result of data analysis shows that there is a significant difference between the result of pre-test and post-test. By applying 0,05 level Of significant the researcher find out that tcounted11.945 is higher than ttable2.093. It implies that there is a significant improvement on students’ reading comprehension. <![CDATA[This research aimed to find out the use of crossword puzzle to Increasing students’ vocabulary. The data were obtained through a pre-test and post-test. The result of this research showed that the X Grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Tolitoli had inadequate score in pre-test with the mean score 56.97. However, after receiving treatments by using Crossword puzzle Method they got high score in post-test: their mean score had increased up to 79.82. The data were analyzed by using t-test and the result showed that the t-test value 19.484 was greater than t-table value 2.037. It meant that there was a significant difference of students’ vocabulary before and after the application of it can be concluded that the use of Crossword puzzle could increase students’ vocabulary. Key words: Increasing vocabulary of crossword puzzle. ]]>

<![CDATA[This research design belongs to a pre-experimental research. The instruments of collecting data are pretest and posttest. The test was used to obtain data in order to find out the effect of using sequences pictures in writing procedure text.The result of the research shows that: 1. by using sequences pictures can improve students’ writing ability in procedure text, 2. there is significant difference between the result of pretest and posttest, the mean score of posttest was 78,40 it was higher than the mean score of pretest 56,0. 3. The testing hypothesis shows that Tcount 9,167was higher than Ttable 2,093. It indicates that the null hypothesis (Ho) rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) accepted. Finally, this research shows that students’ ability was improved after they were taught using sequences pictures. They were better in their procedure text writing. It was signed by their improvements of writing component are organization, Vocabulary and grammar. Key Words: Sequence Pictures, Ability, Writing, Improving. ]]>
