urnal Intervensi Sosial dan Pembangunan (JISP) is a journal that uses a peer review model that can be accessed online. The purpose of JISP is to publish a journal containing quality articles that will be able to contribute thoughts from a theoretical and empirical perspective for technological and educational advancement. The writings at JISP will significantly contribute to critical thinking in the scientific fields, particularly in the area of Social Sciences and Humanities. The scope of the fields contained in JISP covers the following areas: social sciences; social education; sociology; citizenship; political; socioeconomy; culture and society; culture and language; multiculturalism; globalisation; education; poverty and growth; and social issues. Articles published on research results and literature review with acceptable research methodologies, qualitative studies, quantitative studies, or a combination of both, statistical analysis, case studies, field research, and historical studies. JISP received manuscripts from various related circles, such as relevant researchers, professors, students, policy-makers, scientists and others.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of parenting in supporting children's growth and development, particularly in physical, emotional, and cognitive aspects. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, using direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research subjects consist of five key informants: the head supervisor, the head of the parenting section, a social service analyst, a social worker, and parents of toddlers. Meanwhile, the research object is the effectiveness of the parenting program in meeting the basic needs of the children under care. The results indicate that the care program at UPTD has been fairly effective. Program understanding and target accuracy were well-implemented through training and multidisciplinary assessments. However, implementation was not entirely optimal in terms of timeliness and goal achievement due to limited caregiving staff and insufficient educational facilities. Nevertheless, the program produced tangible positive changes, such as improved nutritional status, emotional stability, social skills, and child independence. Thus, this study affirms that the care program at the UPTD Social Service for Toddlers in Medan has been effective, although improvements in human resources and educational support facilities are still needed to enhance its overall impact.Keywords:  Caregiving Program, Basic Needs of Toddlers, Effectiveness, UPTD Child Social Service

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kritik sosial yang terkandung dalam lirik lagu "Di Udara" karya band Efek Rumah Kaca melalui pendekatan analisis wacana kritis model Norman Fairclough. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan paradigma kritis untuk menggali dimensi teks, praktik wacana, dan praktik sosial-budaya dalam lirik lagu tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa lirik lagu ini menggambarkan keteguhan dalam menghadapi ketidakadilan, ancaman, dan represi melalui penggunaan repetisi, metafora, serta pilihan kata yang kuat. Lirik ini mencerminkan perjuangan aktivis Munir Said Thalib sebagai simbol perlawanan terhadap kekuasaan yang represif. Praktik wacana menunjukkan bagaimana proses produksi, distribusi, dan konsumsi lagu ini memengaruhi kesadaran masyarakat terhadap isu hak asasi manusia. Pada level sosial-budaya, lirik lagu ini menjadi medium penting dalam membangkitkan solidaritas dan ketahanan kolektif terhadap penindasan. Penelitian ini menegaskan peran musik sebagai media yang efektif untuk menyampaikan kritik sosial dan membangun kesadaran masyarakat.
