Abstract

The preservation of traditional Sasak cultural arts for students in the current era has begun to weaken along with advances in virtual world technology, impacting students' creativity and their regeneration system. Sasak traditional cultural arts need to be preserved through activities in schools, namely extracurricular activities involving teachers, coaches, and students. This activity aims to realize the efforts to preserve the arts and culture of the Sasak region and to realize the creation and regeneration of the Sasak cultural arts. Mentoring activities were carried out from January to April 2019 at SMP Negeri 2 Selong. This activity was attended by art teachers and extracurricular teachers of Gendang Beleq traditional music and dance accompaniment. Participants in this activity are all students of grades VII and VIII who take extracurricular programs in the field of arts and culture. The result of this activity is that the effort to preserve the Sasak cultural arts through this activity is said to be successful because of the increasing number of participants' interest in participating in extracurricular activities from the first month of activity to the end of the activity. Efforts to create and regenerate the arts culture of the Sasak area are said to be successful because they are realized in the form of performances, all of which are created by students during the training process in extracurricular activities. This activity concludes that adding the Gendang Beleq extracurricular and the accompanying dance gives its color to fostering regional arts in schools. Interest in traditional dance is increasing rapidly along with the number of enthusiasts in the extracurricular activities of Gendang Beleq music. The power of creativity and regeneration can be realized if the art coaches always bring their students closer to traditional arts and provide opportunities to show their work through performances

Abstract

This community service aims to introduce a prototype curriculum and improve the ability of mathematics teachers in West Bandung Regency in preparing TPACK-based learning tools. This activity is in the form of simple training, namely following the examples provided which consist of two sessions, namely: 1) Introduction to prototype curriculum, and 2) Training on the development of TPACK-based learning tools, which consists of: a) Training on the preparation of learning tools using the Liveworksheet application and b) Training on the preparation of learning tools using the Anyflip application. The resulting product is a TPACK-based learning device for mathematics subjects in elementary schools. From the results of observations and interviews with participants, it is known that 70 percent of participants have been able to compose simple TPACK learning tools, besides that the four indicators are: 1) participants' motivation in participating in activities; 2) new knowledge about prototype curriculum; 3) knowing new knowledge and skills about TPACK-based learning, and 4) the number of participants who are able to compose learning has been fulfilled, it can be said that this activity can improve the abilities and skills of mathematics teachers in West Bandung Regency in preparing TPACK-based learning tools using curriculum prototypes

Abstract

Language skills are needed at all times in every segment of social life. The level of sound and correct Indonesian language skills differs for each individual. Testing a person's ability to speak Indonesian both verbally and in writing can be done by undergoing the "Indonesian Language Competency Test." With this, one can know the level of Indonesian language proficiency and can adjust to the expected language needs. Indonesian Language Proficiency Test is a means to measure a person's proficiency in spoken and written Indonesian. UKBI consists of five sections, namely Section I (Listening), Section II (Responding to Rules), Section III (Reading) in the form of multiple choice, Section IV (Writing) in the form of written presentations, and Section V (Speaking) in the form of presentations. Oral. During the current Covid-19 pandemic, UKBI cannot be held offline and in bulk in one place. UKBI Adaptive is a test to measure Indonesian speakers' language proficiency, which is a new thing for students at SMK AL-Husna Bojong Gede, so it needs to be socialized and tested. This study aimed to determine the Indonesian language's mastery for teachers at SMK Al-Husna Bojong Gede. Descriptive and quantitative methods were used in the study. The results showed that most of the participants scored between 300-400, which means that their abilities were in the pretty good category. Thus, it can be said that the UKBI is a test tool that can be used to measure the mastery of the Indonesian language and the teacher's good and correct use of Indonesian

Abstract

Education is one field that needs to adapt carefully in providing the learning process in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Guidance and Counseling services are part of education which also faces challenges. The COVID-19  pandemic has created new problems for Guidance and Counseling Teachers in Bogor Regency. Therefore guidance and counseling services still need to be carried out effectively in the concept of distance learning using learning methods following the current pandemic conditions. In addition, diction in conveying information to students also needs to be a concern so that the service is felt to be effective and impacts positive and structured behavior change. Based on these needs, the community service team organizes activities to increase the insight and skills of BK teachers in online counseling services. The activity was carried out with the concept of a seminar taking into account health protocols, which was attended by 50 SMK BK teachers in Bogor Regency. The results of this activity indicate an increase in the understanding and skills of BK teachers in optimizing counseling services. BK teachers can vary the use of diction in communicating and use learning methods adapted to the class's characteristics so that learning is student-centered and more enjoyable within the framework of providing counseling services in a classical format

Abstract

Bocek Village, located in Karangploso District, Malang Regency, is one of the villages known for its chili production. However, the production of chili plants in this village is often affected by diseases caused by pests such as the fungus Colletotrichum spp., which will cause anthracnose (Patek) disease. This disease can cause defects in chili, reducing the quality of chili production. The farmers have handled the handling by using chemical pesticides, which are considered less effective and harm the environment. One solution that can be used is to use extracts from the citronella to be used as organic pesticides. This community service activity aims to introduce organic pesticides with citronella oil as raw material to the Tri Rejeki farmers group in Bocek Village. The socialization activity was carried out using the lecture method with the material covering the introduction of pesticides, the difference between chemical and organic pesticides, extraction of essential oils with a simple method, and the production process of organic pesticides with citronella oil. An evaluation of the participants was also carried out through a questionnaire given before and after the socialization. After the socialization was conducted, participants understood more about organic pesticides and how to produce them

Abstract

The Indonesian government is promoting 21st Century learning by implementing HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) and TPACK (Technological, Pedagogical, Content Knowledge). The implementation of this system has felt the impact when there has been a Covid 19 pandemic since 2020. This situation has forced the entire learning process to change. All learning is required through online learning. Teachers and students have difficulty adjusting because they cannot use technology in the learning process. SDN 4 Rarang has teachers who are mainly able to master essential technology but do not take advantage of this ability to develop learning media. Therefore, this activity aims to train teachers at SDN 4 Rarang in developing learning media in the form of learning videos and uploading these videos to the YouTube page. The method used is lecture and practice. The participants of the activity were 9 teachers. The results of this activity are from 9 teachers who participated in the training, 7 people have been able to make learning videos and upload the videos to the YouTube page, while 2 people still do not master the material because one of them is age factor, so that the acceptance of training materials is not conveyed correctly. Good, with an achievement percentage of 83.9%.

Abstract

Assistance in the application of IoT-based monitoring and watering system technology in the cultivation of family medicinal plants (Toga) for the PKK group managing the Tosabu garden, Kramas Sub-district, Tembalang District, Semarang, aims to assist park managers, namely the Kramas Village PKK administrator, in caring for and cultivating various types of medicinal plants in a mini greenhouse with an area of 40 m2. Watering plants is a significant problem during the dry season. In addition, the restrictions on activities during the COVID-19 pandemic have also become an obstacle for park managers to take care of plants intensively. This happens because there is no regular system for watering plants due to the busyness of the gardeners. The implementation method in service starts from site surveys and problem inventory, system design and manufacture, installation, training for managers, and evaluation. Technology was designed and built using Arduino Uno and Nodemcu ESP8266 as the central controller and the Blynk application to monitor and control the system using a smartphone. The system is equipped with several sensors, including DHT11 as a temperature and humidity sensor, a soil moisture sensor, and a rain sensor. Twenty-four mini sprinkler sprayer nozzles are used as plant sprinklers installed on each side and top of the greenhouse. The sprinkler and plant monitoring system that has been made has been successfully tested and works well. The plant watering system created can operate automatically using a smartphone and manual operation. The results of the application of this technology can be used by partners and can overcome the problems faced in treating and cultivating family medicinal plants efficiently

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is one of the degenerative diseases known as a lifelong disease because it is a disease that cannot be cured during the life span of the sufferer and is commonly found in the elderly. In the management of DM, six things must be considered, including education, dietary regulation, regular physical activity, medicaments, insulin use, and monitoring daily blood sugar levels. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge of the elderly about the basic concepts of DM. The method of community service activities was carried out by providing health education about the basic concepts of DM and its handling through lectures and questions and answers. The stages of the activity start from measuring residents' knowledge about DM as pre-test data, then giving material on the basic concepts of DM and its handling through lectures and subsequent sessions of question and answer about material that is not yet clear. The last stage is to re-measure citizens' knowledge about the concept of DM as post-test data. This activity results in an increase in knowledge after being given Health Education. This community service activity concludes that the socialization of the concept of DM disease has a positive impact on the knowledge of the elderly about DM. Similar activities must continue to be carried out to improve the quality of life of people with DM.
