Abstract

Urban areas are increasingly dealing with connected issues like environmental damage, food insecurity, and the loss of inclusive public spaces, especially in fast-growing cities like Bandar Lampung. These problems require responses that involve the community and go beyond government-led initiatives. This research looks at how community gardens, supported by groups other than the government, like local communities, regional governments, and international networks such as UCLG-ASPAC, that supports local governments in Asia-Pasific through advocacy, capacity building, and promoting inclusive sustainable development. Using examples from around the world, the study examines the urban agriculture program in Singapore, Rosario, Seoul, Seville and Yogyakarta. These cases show how community gardens can boost biodiversity, improve air quality, support food sovereignty, and create inclusive public spaces. Tropical cities, unlike those in temperate climates, can take advantage of year-round growing seasons, which opens up new possibilities for ecological innovation and local food systems. This research emphasizes that community gardens are not just green spaces; they are socio-ecological infrastructures that help strengthen urban resilience and promote justice. The involvement of groups outside the government is key to starting and expanding these initiatives. In line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 11, SDG 2, and SDG 13), the study concludes with practical suggestions for integrating community gardening into inclusive urban planning, particularly in tropical areas. This research provides valuable insights for policy-makers, practitioners, and international networks on creating ecologically fair and community-driven urban futures.

Abstract

This study examines the continuity and transformation of United States foreign policy under Donald Trump’s second administration in 2025, focusing on three dimensions—policy continuity, institutional response, and global impact. Using a qualitative, library-based approach and applying neorealist, liberal, and constructivist frameworks, the research analyzes decisions such as the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord, disengagement from the World Health Organization, and the “Liberation Day” tariff initiative. Findings reveal that Trump’s policies demonstrate ideological persistence rather than strategic innovation, reaffirming the primacy of sovereignty and unilateralism in American foreign policy. While domestic and international institutions voiced opposition, their material constraints limited any effective resistance, confirming the neorealist logic of state dominance. However, partial liberal and constructivist resilience remains evident in adaptive institutional behaviors and evolving global norms. The study concludes that Trump’s 2025 foreign policy contributes to the transition from a liberal international order toward a pluralist, ideologically contested system, where cooperation endures amid renewed great-power competition.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze the efforts of The Dalit Women’s Movement initiated by feminist movements and Dalit communities in India. The author will examine the transnational advocacy process in response to the Indian government's failure to accommodate the basic rights of Dalit women. The article will also outline several achievements successfully accomplished by The Dalit Women’s Movement as a manifestation of global civil society discourse. In this study, the author employs the Transnational Advocacy Network (TAN) theory introduced by Keck and Sikkink. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The research findings indicate that the strategies of the Dalit women's movement meet the criteria of TAN outlined by Keck and Sikkink, including information politics, symbolic politics, leverage politics, and accountability politics. Thus, transnational advocacy by activists carried out over the years ultimately yielded results, as evidenced by behavioral changes by the target actor, namely the Government of India. Abstract
