Abstract

The lack of effectiveness of government thematic books taught in elementary schools currently tends to lead to low learning outcomes during the covid-19 pandemic. However, the problem seems to be getting worse because of the unavailability of suitable learning media to support the teaching and learning process from home for educators and students during the covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, this research was conducted to develop thematic e-module media based on Al-Qur'an verses to improve student learning outcomes during the covid-19 pandemic. This study was developed based on the Borg & Gall model with data collected using questionnaires, tests, and documentation and analyzed through the Independent Sample T-test. The results show sig.(2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. then Ha is accepted while H0 is rejected. It was found that the average student learning outcomes improved to 83.4 and learning completeness by 83.33% after receiving treatment in the form of thematic e-module media based on Al-Qur'an verses. This shows that this subjects is feasible to be implemented as a learning medium because of its effectiveness in improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of MI Al-Hidayah 02 Betak.

Abstract

The progressive era impacted the decline in the Pancasila values implementation in everyday life. The young generation behaves not according to the values and norms that apply in society. Based on this, it is necessary to strengthen character education in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. In this era, science and technology developed rapidly. School mover is the school model of Kurikulum Merdeka implementation. One of the messages in the curriculum is strengthening character education. The character education implementation in the Kurikulum Merdeka is based on Pancasila values, called the Pancasila student profile. This research used qualitative methods, especially case studies. The researcher collected data by observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation; he tested the validity of the data by source triangulation and method triangulation. Data analysis included the stages of collecting data, identifying, sorting data, and concluding. Based on the research results, school movers, especially the Persatuan Umat Islam Elementary School, implemented strengthening character education by developing a religious basis, namely Islamic values. Educators trained students to implement the dimensions of the Pancasila student profile with a humanist approach and innovative strategies. They also used technology in various school activities because they educated the millennial generation; this generation is interested in technological developments.

Abstract

This research has a goal, namely to find alternative solutions for teachers in implementing a scientific approach to thematic learning at Al-Zahra Elementary School Indonesia, Pamulang. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection and processing techniques use observation, interviews and document analysis. The procedure for collecting and processing data passes through 3 stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the final stage. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data display/data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Integrated thematic learning using a scientific approach in grade 2 SD Al-Zahra Indonesia is in the fairly good category. As for the process of making the RPP can be said to be good. However, there are some student activities during learning that the teacher has not been able to deal with. For future improvements, the solution that can be given or submitted by researchers to schools / homerooms in improving the quality of the scientific approach in thematic learning is to hold training in making lesson plans in order to maximize the quality of lesson plans made by teachers. Schools should also regularly hold advanced training on the implementation of thematic learning so that teachers have deeper insight and knowledge to apply in the classroom. Abstract

Mixing culture and mathematics can provide more meaningful mathematics learning so that abstractions of mathematical material can be more easily understood by students. However, previous studies investigating the effectiveness of implementing ethnomathematics-based learning in elementary schools showed mixed results. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of ethnomathematics-based learning on the mathematics abilities of elementary school students using a meta-analysis approach. This study analyzed 13 effect sizes from 12 primary studies that met the inclusion criteria. The results of the analysis show that the application of ethnomathematics-based learning has a strong effect on the mathematics abilities of elementary school students when compared to traditional learning (g = 1.74; p <0.01). The results of the research based on the moderator variable showed that the effect of implementing ethnomathematics-based learning on the mathematics abilities of elementary school students differed according to the year of study (Qb = 10.22; p = 0.00), however, there was no difference based on the class level group (Qb = 1.98; p = 0.16) and sample size (Qb = 0.30; p = 0.58). It is hoped that the results of this study can become the basis for choosing a mathematics learning approach so that the quality of mathematics learning in elementary schools can be improved.

Abstract

Educational institutions have an essential role to play in dealing with border issues. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Furqon uses border issues to develop the governance of educational institutions. This research focuses on two things. First, what are the characteristics of border-based Islamic Elementary Education management at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darul Furqon? Second, how is the strength of the management in its participation in responding to border issues? Research with this qualitative method collects data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis uses three stages: data reduction and presentation, and conclusion. This Madrasah has utilized school-based management to develop border-based Islamic Elementary Education Management. Among the characteristics of border issues concerning its management is branding as the Boundary School, the orientation of student recruitment by taking community groups with problems in border areas as its customer segments, and management of learning management based on border issues. The use of management like this gives strength to this Madrasah to manage aspects of the customer segment, value proposition, channel, key partnerships, key activities, and cost structure in the business management of educational institutions to deal with border issues. This Madrasah also utilizes management like this to develop inclusive Islamic religious education in the border context.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the metacognitive dimensions of social media consumption among students of elementary school (MI) in Islamic boarding schools (MI), specifically focusing on self-reflection and self-regulation. With the increasing integration of social media platforms in educational settings, understanding how students of elementary school (SD/MI) navigate and make sense of digital media becomes crucial. Metacognition, which involves the awareness and regulation of one's thinking and learning processes, plays a significant role in students' interactions with social media. The study adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining a comprehensive review of existing literature, empirical research, and interviews with students and educators in Islamic boarding elementary schools. The theoretical frameworks of metacognition and social cognitive theory inform the research design and analysis. The study's findings reveal the metacognitive processes associated with social media consumption in Islamic boarding elementary schools. Students self-reflect by critically examining the content they encounter and assessing its relevance to their learning objectives and Islamic values. Additionally, self-regulation strategies, such as setting limits on social media usage and managing online distractions, are employed to maintain focus and ensure responsible digital engagement. The implications of this study highlight the importance of integrating metacognitive skills development within elementary education. Educators and stakeholders can use the findings to design interventions promoting self-reflection and self-regulation in students' social media usage. In conclusion, this study comprehensively explores the metacognitive dimensions of social media consumption in Islamic boarding elementary schools.
