Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of training and work environment on employee productivity, with motivation, job satisfaction, and career satisfaction as intervening variables in the education sector. Research Methodology: This study employs a quantitative methodology and survey data collected from 300 employees working in various educational institutions. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) via Smart PLS was used to analyze the relationships between the variables. Results: The findings reveal that Both training and work environments have a significant positive impact on employee productivity. In addition, motivation, job satisfaction, and career satisfaction play critical intervening roles in enhancing employee productivity. The analysis shows that well-structured training programs and a conducive work environment significantly boost employee motivation and satisfaction levels, which, in turn, improve overall productivity. Contribution: This study contributes to the literature by highlighting the importance of training and work environments in the education sector, particularly focusing on the mediating effects of motivation, job satisfaction, and career satisfaction. Originality: The originality of this research lies in its comprehensive approach to understanding the complex interplay between these variables, offering valuable insights for educational institutions that aim to enhance employee performance and productivity. These results underscore the need for targeted interventions in training and work environment improvements to foster a more motivated, satisfied, and productive workforce in the education sector.

Abstract

Purpose: In the past, companies placed significant emphasis on Earnings Per Share (EPS) financial performance, while Environment Social Governance (ESG) is now used to assess a company's comprehensive performance in the areas of environment, social responsibility, and corporate governance. Research Methodology: This study employs qualitative research through in-depth interviews and utilizes the SWOT analysis method. This study aims to conduct an in-depth investigation into Taiwan Asia Cement's future carbon management strategy, anticipating and positioning itself to turn the crisis into an opportunity, ultimately becoming a major winner in the era of climate change and a low-carbon economy. Results: The primary objectives are to understand the innovative process of promoting low-carbon cement manufacturing by Taiwan Asia Cement and to investigate consumers' willingness to use this cement. The study reveals that Asia Cement has established a low-carbon cement promotion team, actively collaborating with consumers to increase the adoption of low-carbon cement, resulting in a stable market growth rate. Limitations: The marketing strategies in this study are more useful for the cement industry only and are not applicable to competitive marketing strategies in other industries. Contribution:  Additionally, interviews uncover that consumers using low-carbon cement are mainly located in eastern Taiwan. Many consumers in this region have not heard of or used low-carbon cement, indicating significant marketing opportunities. Novelty: In an environment where the world is emphasizing ESG, it is important to enhance the corporate image of the cement industry through process innovation to contribute to environmental issues.

Abstract

Purpose: This study investigated the effects of physical ergonomic factors on the performance of lecturers in public Universities in Anambra State, Nigeria. Research Methodology: This study adopted a descriptive survey design. The population of the study was 200; 187 questionnaires were returned and used in the analysis, and the census method was adopted. The source of the data was a questionnaire, which was tested for reliability using the split-half technique, and the value obtained was .998. Correlation analysis was carried out, and the hypothesis was tested at a 5% level of significance. Results: The findings indicated that there is a positive correlation between ergonomic factors and the performance of academics in the universities under study, and it was established that the coefficient level between ergonomic factors and the performance of academics is very high, and that the correlation coefficient is significant at the 0.01 levels (.000<0.01). Therefore, the null hypothesis was rejected and alternately accepted, which states that there is a significant relationship between physical ergonomic factors and the performance of academics in public Universities in Anambra State, Nigeria. Limitations: The narrowing of the scope of the study to only public Universities in Anambra State limits the generalizability of the study.   Contribution: The Nigerian government will, by this study, know how to properly apply the physical ergonomic factors and its principles strictly adhered to, which will help reduce stress and work-related hazards in the workplace, leading to increased efficiency and stellar performance of public universities.

Abstract

Purpose: Mobile finance services have grown in Bangladesh, reaching a large population without access to traditional banks. This research investigates how mobile banking affects Bangladesh's economy. The paper analyzes mobile financial services in the nation and identifies growth prospects. Furthermore, the study will examine the potential impact of mobile financial services on improving the quality of life for low-income persons and their role in combating poverty. Methodology/approach: In order to gather data on the adoption and utilization of mobile financial services in Bangladesh, the research will integrate primary and secondary sources, such as surveys, interviews, and case studies. The study will also examine the socioeconomic and demographic factors influencing the country's adoption of mobile financial services. Results/findings: The study also analyzed mobile financial services' economic benefits and potential drawbacks. The study will focus on the potential impact of mobile finance services on enhancing financial inclusion, expanding access to credit, and promoting economic growth in Bangladesh. The thesis will examine the potential impact of mobile financial services on enhancing financial literacy among the population and boosting the nation's GDP. Limitations: Bangladesh's Information and Communication (ICT) strategy highlights the government's digital initiatives and policy goals as weak regarding digital inclusion. Consequently, the extent to which digital services and financial technology (fintech) will provide financial inclusion in rural Bangladesh remains uncertain. To achieve financial inclusion in the digital economy through digital services, rural populations must have access to digital equipment and supportive social contexts. Contribution: The research will investigate Bangladesh's mobile banking regulatory system and suggest improvements to protect consumers. It will also examine mobile financial service providers' problems and opportunities, as well as solutions. This article seeks to study mobile banking services in Bangladesh and find development opportunities. The findings will inform policymakers, financial institutions, and service providers in Bangladesh and other developing nations where mobile banking proliferates. Abstract

Purpose: This study explores the dynamics of institutional collaborative culture and its influence on task accomplishment in industrial contexts. Using a correlational design, it investigated variables such as teamwork, dynamic support, delegation of responsibilities, and organizational norms and values in relation to task completion. Research Methodology: This study targeted a population of 200 principal officers from diverse departments within industries in Iran. Data collection employed a modified Likert-scale instrument focused on Institutional Collaborative Culture and Task Accomplishment in Iranian industries. The sampling was stratified, resulting in a sample size of 110 participants. Data analysis included mean, standard deviation, and regression techniques. Results: The findings indicated a significant correlation between the elements of institutional collaborative culture (teamwork, dynamic support, norms, and values) and task accomplishment. However, delegation of responsibilities did not demonstrate a significant relationship with task completion. Recommendations: This study proposes promoting teamwork principles and providing comprehensive support to personnel across all levels of industrial operations as essential strategies for enhancing task accomplishments within industrial settings.

Abstract

Purpose: Social media use has become pervasive in the lives of students in both academic and nonacademic activities. This study aimed to assess the influence of social media use on the entrepreneurial intention of final-year students of the Higher National Diploma (HND) final year students of Accra Technical University (ATU). Research Methodology: The study used a descriptive research methodology that adopted a quantitative research approach; with a population of HND final-year students, data were gathered from 200 respondents through questionnaires. Purposive sampling was used to select participants for the study. The data received from the respondents were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics using IBM SPSS Statistics 24. Results: The results showed that students were very active on social media and found it very useful. Five-year students considered entrepreneurship a career choice after school.  The results also indicated that social media use had a significant direct effect on students’ entrepreneurial intention. Limitations: This study focused on social media use as a determinant of entrepreneurial intention, and was limited to final-year HND students. Contribution: Tertiary institutions, as part of entrepreneurship education, should allow students to explore the use of social media to advance the entrepreneurship drive as this increases entrepreneurial intention. Practical Implications: Educators must inculcate the use of social media in practical activities during entrepreneurship education. Future research should examine how specific social media sites contribute to improving entrepreneurial intention among final-year students in tertiary institutions. Novelty: This study examined social media as a factor influencing students’ entrepreneurial intentions.

Abstract

Purpose: In the arena of digital banking, internet banking has become a hotcake. As internet banking becomes an increasingly integral component of the financial services sector, understanding the determinants that drive or inhibit its adoption among active customers is crucial for both banks and policymakers. Research Methodology: The research employs a quantitative. A structured questionnaire were used to collect data from the customers, focusing on key constructs such as technological device self-efficacy (TSE), user-friendly (UF), beneficial (B) , security concerns (SC), features of the apps (FA), trust, social influence (SI). In this study answer sheets were provided to 350 banking service consumers out of which only 174 answered the questions. After discarding the incomplete answer sheets, a total of 146 were found suitable for the study. Statistical analyses, including descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression, are applied to identify and quantify the relationships between these factors and behavioral intentions. Results: According to the findings, the intention of users to use internet banking services in Bangladesh was significantly predicted by the user-friendly (B = 0.708, t = 5.585; p < 0.000) and features of the applications (B = 0.392, t = 2.443; p < 0.016). On the other hand, in Bangladesh, the behavioral intention to use internet banking is most significantly impacted by user friendly. Limitations: The study is only geographically focused on Bangladesh and may ignore the influence of external factors (such as regulatory changes and economic fluctuations), which may significantly influence consumer adoption decisions. Contribution: The study will contribute to the academic literature by extending the existing theories of technology adoption in the context of internet banking in Bangladesh. The findings of this study will assist strategic decisions, policy formulation, and initiatives to promote greater adoption and effective use of Internet banking services.

Abstract

Purpose: Industrial training programs are structured educational initiatives that provide supervised, practical experience within designated timeframes in both the private and government sectors. The primary objective was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, allowing participants to apply classroom learning in real-world environments. This hands-on approach enhances competency development, understanding of industry practices, teamwork, and professional ethics, ultimately preparing individuals for successful careers in various industries. Research Methodology: Data analysis was performed using a specialized statistical software tool designed for predictive modeling and analysis. This tool was employed to examine and interpret the dataset, thus enabling the extraction of meaningful insights and predictions. The analytical process involves a series of statistical techniques, algorithms, and models to identify patterns, correlations, and trends within the data. By leveraging the capabilities of this advanced statistical package, the research team derived valuable information, made informed predictions, and drew significant conclusions from comprehensive data analysis. Results: From the instructors' perspective, industrial training significantly enhances students' proficiency in both formal and informal communication, assists them in identifying appropriate research areas for their projects, and improves their socialization and relationship-building skills. Employees reported that industrial training increased their confidence in problem solving and emphasized the importance of continuous learning. A notable challenge faced by employees during their internships is related to workplace safety. Limitations: The findings of this study are primarily applicable in educational settings. Contribution: Our study concludes that industrial training is crucial for enhancing students’ post-training abilities and knowledge. We recommend recognizing industrial training as an essential tool for improving employees' skills and capabilities.

Abstract

Purpose: This study was conducted to address critical issues that affect the sustainability of the environment and to recommend eco-friendly policies for driving sustainable economic growth and development. Research Methodology: This study employed a qualitative approach by reviewing the extant literature to assess key concepts and theories, thereby providing comprehensive recommendations for individuals, households, corporate organizations, and governments. Results: The study observed that the implementation of environmental sustainability measures in Nigeria and other developing nations may be delayed due to a lack of readiness, but it is crucial to overcome this. Limitations: This study used a qualitative approach. However, we observed that Nigeria significantly lags in embracing emerging technology, and this study identified areas for improvement and emphasized guidelines to steer purchasing decisions toward sustainable development. Contribution:  This study contributes to knowledge by adding more perspectives to the body of literature and also makes mankind understand that eco-friendly products are indispensable in shaping a sustainable future, promoting health, supporting the circular economy, and contributing significantly to cultivating a more sustainable and environmentally conscious society. Funding: The researchers did not receive any funding from any agencies or institutions; rather, this study was funded specifically through the personal purpose of the researchers.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines how entrepreneurial orientation and entrepreneurial self-efficacy interact to identify and create entrepreneurial opportunities for start-ups a successful business in North Central Nigeria. Research Methodology: Primary data were collected using questionnaires from a sample size of 354 SMEs owners and  analyzed using PLS-SEM version 4.1.0.4. Results: The results indicated significant positive relationships between EO and SP, EO and ESU, ESU and SP, EO and EOP, and EOP and SP. Mediation analysis revealed partial mediation of EOP and ESU on the relationship between EO and SP. The moderation analysis revealed that with an increase in ESE, the relationship between EO and SP is strengthened; ESE does not moderate the relationship between EO and ESU; higher ESE weakens the positive impact of ESU on SP, while a higher value of ESE results in a stronger relationship between EOP and SP, as depicted in graph 1-4. Limitations: The study is limited to entrepreneurial orientation, self-efficacy, opportunities, and startups in North Central Nigeria. Contribution: This study provides valuable insights to policymakers in entrepreneurship to create a holistic orientation policy that will ensure that people see the need and opportunities to engage in farming in order to ensure profits for the individual and food availability for the majority population. Originality: This is the first study in Nigeria (Africa) to test how entrepreneurial orientation and self-efficacy interact to identify and create opportunities to start a successful business.
