Abstract

Exploiting advanced technological tools is considered one of the requirements for the field of language education in the 21st century. Sadly, the field of teaching Arabic for Specific Purposes (ASP) is still a little behind when it comes to integrating these new educational tools into the teaching and learning processes. This will consequently result in decreasing the students’ motivation, as teachers still apply traditional teaching and learning methods, with a basic use of technology. It is important to note that the students in this generation utilize technology in their daily lives, thus integrating these technologies into learning Arabic for Specific Purposes will benefit them in numerous aspects. Consequently, this study suggests the importance of developing learning materials using augmented reality technology for ASP modules. This study will shed light on the concept of development, learning materials, and augmented reality. Finally, it will discuss possible ways to develop ASP modules using augmented reality technology. It is hoped that this study will lead to the advancement of educational tools for the field of ASP in the future.

Abstract

Maharah kitabah is the fourth maharah after maharah istimak, kalam and qiraah. Kitabah is very important to be studied by every student, especially Arabic language students, to support the perfection of learning Arabic. However, along with the learning process, many students complain about the difficulties they face in studying. This study aims to see what are the obstacles faced by students in learning Maharah Kitabah by reviewing two aspects, namely the aspect of Kitabah Wal Imla' and Ta'bir Kitabi. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and the results of student Imla' and Insha' exercises. As for the research results obtained, researchers found that the difficulties faced by students in learning Maharah Kitabah were very diverse. First: in terms of Kitabah and Imla', students are weak and slow in writing, they don't master the Nahwu Sharaf rules, they don't understand the rules of Arabic writing, the student's ability to listen to material dictated by the teacher is weak. Second: in terms of the interpretation of the book. Students are not able to compose sentences and paragraphs in perfect form, Tadakhul Lughawi, at least memorized vocabulary, limited ideas, and opinions, afraid of being wrong, lack of interest in material Ta'bir Kitabi, lazy to look for references or read, not too good at the material so they are confused about what to write.

Abstract

It was noted from the observations that most of the students could only memorize and understand the vocabulary, but could not arrange it to become a sentence and could not communicate in Arabic, the causes were the inappropriate teaching media used by the lecturers and the short time they have with the lecturer. Those things cause the students to have difficulty composing Arabic sentences and the inability to communicate with Arabic friends and lecturers. After the researcher distributed the questionnaire to the students, the researcher found that the students liked conversational material and needed learning media that facilitated students conversations with friends and lecturers, and they needed the development of conversational materials with learning media. Therefore, lecturers need learning media to display these lessons. Based on this phenomenon, the researchers tried to overcome the problems that occurred by developing Muhadatsah lessons to improve students' speaking skills with the Microsoft PowerPoint program. The purpose of this study was to determine how the development of Muhadatsah lessons improved students' speaking skills with the Microsoft PowerPoint program and how effective the product was. The research method that the researcher used was R&D. The research instruments used by researchers to collect research data were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The results of the research that the researchers obtained were: the development of Muhadatsah lessons in improving students' speaking skills with the Microsoft PowerPoint program following 10 predetermined steps, and the t-test value (t-count = 23.18) is greater than the value (t-table with a significant level 5% = 2.11 and a significant level of 1% = 2.90). Then, it shows that the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted, which means that the Microsoft PowerPoint program is effective in increasing students' ability to improve speaking skills in Muhadatsah lessons.

Abstract

The researcher has noticed a manifestation of the incident that most teachers from the middle school at the SMP Babul Maghfirah use traditional educational means in the process of teaching Arabic, especially for reading skills, and read and translate the material from the textbook until they need a long opportunity to repeat the reading text, and the text may read a dispute about exits The letters, and on this, it is difficult for students to focus, hear and understand the contents of the reading story what the teacher read from the textbook because many of the students are graduates of the SDN primary school and they did not learn Arabic before, as well as they still do not control the many vocabularies. Therefore, the researcher wants to do research on the development of Reading Subject Matter Based on Interactive Multimedia (Research and Development at SMP Babul Maghfirah in Aceh Besar). The research aims to develop Reading Subject Matter Based on Interactive Multimedia and its effects on students. The research method referred to research and development using the method named ADDIE. The research population includes all students of Babul Maghfirah in Aceh Besar, 28 students from the second grade (D), and 432 students in total. The researcher has conducted interviews, questionnaires, and tests as research tools. This research aims to develop interactive Multimedia that could give more positive benefits to students based on five steps; analysis, design, development, application, and evaluation. As a result, the researcher has successfully created a new interactive Multimedia of reading subject matter. It also has received a positive score, in learning materials and media 100% (Special). The application has effectively contributed to the development of students reading ability based on the calculation (t-test), which is bigger than the table's results (t-table) or 7.76 > 2.05 and 2.77.

Abstract

The most crucial fundamental Arabic linguistic elements to master are Nahu, Sharf, and Dilalah. This is crucial for the development of a decent phrase when translating Indonesian text into Arabic. This research objective is to investigate how Arabic Language Education students employ Nahu, Sharf, and Dilalah when translating Indonesian literature into Arabic. To identify useful phrases, the research model takes the form of a content study of the structure of Nahu, Sharf, and Dilalah. This study revealed that the student's capacity to apply Nahu, Sharf, and Dilalah was seriously lacking. This is evidenced by their interactions with literature that cannot be translated into plain Arabic.

Abstract

Teaching Arabic to non-native speakers is one of the scientific matters that hardly anyone leaves in this field. Because Arabic is one of the most used languages in the world after English. Despite the lack of methods for teaching it, the failure of teaching it is due to the way it is taught without taking into account the differences between the language studied and the language of the learners. This is one of the reasons for the difficulty of non-Arabic learners while learning the Arabic language. Arabic language teachers must pay attention to the linguistic foundations and apply a theory related to those foundations, whether it is a constructive theory or an innovative transformational theory. Since the constructivist theory is based on the acquisition of habits, the value of repetition, training, simulation, and memorization must be emphasized in teaching Arabic to foreigners. As for the innovative transformational theory, it holds that the process of understanding and innovation is the rule and not the exception in the use of language, with the exception of some phrases that speakers use without significant change, such as greetings.

Abstract

Teaching the Arabic language in the primary stage must take into account their growth in body and mind. The teacher must choose the appropriate materials for them and the methods used to teach them the second language. Otherwise, they should only be taught their mother tongue because they are in the stage of mental and physical development and need to be introduced to basic concepts and a wealth of new vocabulary in their own language. Among the appropriate materials and methods for teaching Arabic as a second language are songs and memorization. One of the most important differences between the two is that songs are pieces of poetry arranged in a specific form, while memorizing pieces may be poetry or prose. Likewise, chants differ from memorization in terms of topics and purposes, as the contents of chants are limited to the emotional and ethical aspects, while the circle of contents of the memorization pieces expands to include, in addition to the emotional and ethical aspects, deep philosophical and mental contents, so it multiplies with the multiplicity of topics in memorization, linguistic purposes and objectives, and others.
