Abstract

Oceanarium is a place for recreational and educational tourist spot, the oceanarium itself provide a place for accommodate various types of marine life, like fish to coral reefs. Manado as one of the marine tourism areas does not yet have a marine tourism instituation that is able to present recreational and educational tourism in the same place, the people of Manado themselves are not very familiar with underwater biodiversity so it needs to be introduced further so that people can be more concerned about protecting marine life, caring for and preserving the potential of this marine tourism. The design of the oceanarium with a contemporary architectural approach can make it easier for the public to reach and recognize various kinds of marine life in Manado through the oceanarium building, a contemporary architectural approach in accordance with the needs of people who like the latest recreational and educational places. The contemporary architectural approach itself is a design approach that responds to the needs of the community while developing at that time, a contemporary architectural approach that adapts to the existence of development in the city of Manado will facilitate public acceptance of new buildings. The existence of an oceanarium with an architectural approach in Manado is expected to be able to fulfill the community's needs for educational recreational buildings in order to foster a sense of care for preserving marine tourism in Manado

Abstract

Samarinda has a reasonably high population, with 872 people with disabilities (2021), based on PPDI DPC Samarinda City data. It is challenging for persons with disabilities to own a home. Therefore, a residential building in the form of a disabled-friendly flats that can house a group of people in one structure is required, emphasizing accessibility. This building's design aims to create a flat accessible to disabled people by paying close attention to the building's exterior rustic architecture. This design method involves identifying problems, collecting data and information, and transforming them into ideas or concepts. Accessibility refers to individuals with disabilities. Government-mandated implementation of accessibility features in circulation routes and space elements with standardized dimensions. This accessible Rusunami also gives attention to the exterior of the building's rustic architecture. The use of red brick characterizes the rustic architectural style, concrete finishing with conwood, natural colors of materials, and designs that evoke a natural look.

Abstract

Early childhood age is in a stage of growth and development both physically and mentally. In their activities at school, children who study at the kindergarten level need learning facilities, one of which is study tables and chairs. Sometimes these facilities do not meet the condition of the student's body, dealing with its terms of size, shape and parts. The impact of the mismatch between the school fascilities such asa tables and chairs with the body size of school children is one of the obstacles in the efforts of improving learning outcomes. Tetris is one of the most favorite games that prioritizes competition among players, but still the players have to follows the rules of the game. This toy is quite interesting and popular among young children. Based on this background, efforts are made to solve the problem, one of which is by making tables and chairs for kindergarten children with the concept of the Tetris game. In designing products so that are well directed, the Vinod Goel method is used with the stages of Preliminary Design, Design Development, and Final Design and Prototype. The results of this design are intended for children aged 5 - 6 years, with components of chairs, tables, Tetris cubes and Tetris puzzles, with configurations according to ergonomics and anthropometry. The connection system uses a butt joint with nail reinforcement and glue adhesive. The material used is multiplex, with a shape of a tetris concept, a retro fifties and colorful design style with rainbow colors

Abstract

Jangka Beach Tourism, located in Jangka Sub district, Bireuen Regency, is a tourist attraction with a beach and culinary feel. This beach area offers the charm of an exotic beach with brownish sand and a diversity of culinary tourism around the beach. The problem that occurs in Jangka beach tourism areas is that user comfort regarding some of the facilities that have been provided is not complete and does not comply with the standards of the Regulation on Regional Minimum Service Standards, so evaluation needs to be carried out, especially from users and the public who carry out activities at tourist locations. The method used is a qualitative method that focuses on existing facilities and infrastructure at Panjang Beach by means of observation, distribution of questionnaires and literature studies related to the research topic. The results obtained from the existing infrastructure were 13.0% who said it was very satisfactory, 56.5% said it was fulfilled and 30.04% said it was not yet fulfilled. In general, 70.6% said they agreed, however, other answers related to the importance of additional facilities and infrastructure stated it was very necessary, 34.8% said it was necessary. 56.6%, 8.7% is enough, so the facilities and infrastructure that still need to be completed are not enough, such as accommodation, banking system, health, educational facilities and sports advice. The conclusion is that the long-term beach comfort is adequate, it's just that the facilities and infrastructure need to be improved so that it becomes an attraction for tourists.

Abstract

Green Open Space was an instrument to provide an open space for people to do some activities that can be city icons. Pamedan Ahmad Yani Field was one of the city's icons in Tanjungpinang, but the design has not implemented the local culture into its design. Local culture can be used or implemented as a site appeal. This research aims to provide a redesign of Pamedan Ahmad Yani Field as a city park using local culture in the site design. Riau Islands culture was adapted considering the site location located in Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands, which is popular with its culture and literature, Gurindam 12. Questionnaires were distributed to 93 people to gain visitors' data and their perspectives about redesigning using local culture in the site design. The concept applied in the design is Modern-Local Cultural (Moltural), which combines local culture with current design developments. This research contains a series of designs consisting of commissioning, analysis, problem definition, conceptual studies, preliminary/schematic designs, site plans, and construction documents, with the final result in the form of designs with a local cultural approach consisting of working drawings and illustrations.

Abstract

Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Diskominfo) Kota Samarinda tergolong Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) baru di lingkungan Pemkot Samarinda. Pembentukan OPD baru ini dilakukan pada awal 2017 lalu, bersamaan dengan diterbitkannya Peraturan Walikota (Perwali) Samarinda nomor 38 Tahun 2016 Tentang tentang Susunan Organisasi dan Tata Kerja Diskominfo Kota Samarinda. Kantor Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika menggunakan bangunan lama yang telah berdiri dari sekitar tahun 70-an. Kantor Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika memiliki berbagai masalah baik interior maupun eksteriornya yang sangat terlihat rusak dibeberapa bagian dikarenakan kurangnya maintenance. Diskominfo Samarinda menjadi salah satu dari 25 daerah se-Indonesia yang ditetapkan sebagai proyek percontohan (pilot project) Smart City. Sebagai (pilot project) smart city, maka Kantor Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika ini perlu memperbaiki gaya bangunan dan tata ruang dalam yang sesuai dengan kaidah arsitektur, sehingga mampu melengkapi segala kekurangan yang ada dan menjadikan fasilitas pelayanan publik yang memadai. Dengan kondisi bangunan saat ini Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika memerlukan redesain dengan penekanan pada bangunan pintar untuk mendukung terwujudnya smart city. Bangunan pintar adalah sebuah tema yang dapat mengatasi permasalahan secara teknologi dan kecerdasan perancangan bangunan. Sebuah tema yang mendukung fungsi bangunan ataupun memudahkan pencapaian pada bangunan dengan beberapa teknologi yang berupa infrastruktur ataupun pemecahan masalah berupa metode lainnya.

Abstract

The existence of the Loa Janan Fajr Market is very important in the development of the city's economy, especially for residents around Loa Janan Ulu. However, this market is becoming less well-organized, especially in market circulation, such as a narrow visitor circulation area, then there is no loading and unloading area to inadequate facilities and infrastructure. The purpose of this discussion is to make this market redesign even better, especially for circulation. The author makes observations about anything that can solve this. By surveying directly in the field and collecting data on what things need to be redesigned, the authors get a solution regarding the standardization of the people's market so that this market becomes comfortable, organized and safe when visiting this market.

Abstract

Batik craftsmen needed a tool to help them while writing on the carving fabric (covering the motif on the fabric) with wax. They use gawangan for buffering the writing fabric for the sake of the easiest way for the writing process and the fabric is not folded. This is because if the fabric is pleated, the wax on the fabric will harden, break off, and come off the fabric. For this long time, the craftsmen still used the wooden gawangan, and only wrote a unit of batik once a time in the production process. The main problem is how to make the fabric after the wax process saving safely. Gawangan that using roller is a kind of innovation that has never been made before, in Jambi, moreover in Indonesia or maybe in the world. The dimension of the design will use anthropometric data so that the gawangan is ergonomic. The main purpose of this design is to ensure that the fabric that has been long waxed is safe, without any anxiety about the motif on the fabric breaking due to broken wax. Further, this gawangan is designed to accommodate rolls of fabric up to 100 meters.

Abstract

SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization) BIOTROP is a center for the study of tropical biology under the coordination of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. Its activities include research, training, networking, and personnel exchange and information dissemination in tropical biology. More than 5000 visitors per year take advantage of the facilities and resources available at BIOTROP. To maximize this potential, BIOTROP has launched an Agro-Edu-Tourism program. The concept of Agro-Edu-Tourism was chosen because the main activities at BIOTROP are research in the field of tropical biology and agriculture in a broad sense, as well as tourism activities are considered as one of the most developing industries in the world. The aim of this research is to design the BIOTROP landscape that can be used as a facility for agroedutourism and enhance ecosystem services. The basic concept of this design is to maximizes the functions of the existing BIOTROP area, which currently serves as a tourist destination with a foundation in agriculture and education. The proposed basic concept is "Familiarizing oneself with Agriculture", where visitors are invited to get closer to agricultural products, engage in recreational activities in agricultural areas, and experience firsthand farming activities such as land cultivation, planting, caring for crops, and harvesting. Additionally, this research contains a series of designs consisting of project acceptance, analysis, conceptual studies, schematic designs, site plan, and construction drawings. The final results of this research are recommendation concept, site plan, detailed drawings, and design illustrations.

Abstract

Di Indonesia terdapat berbagai perkampungan. Beberapa perkampungan didirikan diatas lahan rawan gusur, yaitu lahan milik suatu perusahaan. Tak sedikit perkampungan di Indonesia yang didirikan di daerah rawan gusur. Salah satunya adalah Kampoeng Dolanan di Surabaya yang berdiri diatas lahan milik PT. Kereta Api Indonesia. Walau berdiri diatas lahan rawan gusur, warga tetap beraktivitas sama seperti warga perkampungan pada umumnya. Warga yang tinggal di daerah perkampungan identik dengan kerukunan dan solidaritas yang tinggi. Warga di Kampoeng Dolanan juga melakukan aktivitas yang sama seperti warga perkampungan pada umumnya. Namun ada sedikit yang berbeda, karena memiliki komunitas yang mengadakan beragam kegiatan di Kampoeng Dolanan, salah satunya adalah Semesta Belajar yang merupakan kegiatan yang diisi oleh kakak dari Komunitas Dolanan, dengan tujuan mengadakan sekolah kecil-kecilan bagi anak-anak di Kampoeng Dolanan. Semesta Belajar diadakan di area terbuka yang hanya beralaskan terpal saja. Hal ini menyebabkan ketika hujan, tidak ada yang melindungi mereka, sehingga ketika hujan turun, kegiatan Semesta Belajar di tiadakan atau dipindah tempatnya. Oleh karena itu, penulis menggunakan studi kasus diatas sebagai obyek untuk merancang tenda sehingga dapat menunjang kegiatan berkumpul warga perkampungan rawan gusur, yang salah satunya contohnya adalah Semesta Belajar, agar dapat berjalan dengan optimal dalam berbagai keadaan cuaca.
