Abstract

The government launched the Kartu Tani program to ensure a more accurate distribution of subsidised fertiliser. However, its implementation has faced several challenges, including low uptake of subsidised fertilisers by farmers. Previous studies indicate that farmers' responses to the Kartu Tani program have been less favorable. This study aims to analyse the relationship between agricultural extension activities and farmers' cognitive, affective, and conative responses in using the Kartu Tani. The research was conducted in Karya Bhakti I farmers' group in Gegesik Kidul village, Cirebon Regency, using a quantitative design. The respondents were 55 members of the Karya Bhakti I farmers group. Data were analysed descriptively and using Spearman rank correlation analysis. The results indicated a positive relationship between various indicators of agricultural extension activities and farmers' responses to the Kartu Tani program. These results highlight the crucial role of extension services in improving farmers' ability to effectively adopt the program. A more participatory approach to extension, in which farmers are actively involved in learning, identifying problems, and making decisions, has the potential to strengthen their understanding of, acceptance of, and perceived benefits from the Kartu Tani program. Improving this participatory dimension is essential for enhancing the program's long-term effectiveness and sustainability.

The results highlight differences in annual income between rubber and oil palm farming. The results showed that the Levene test produced a result of 0.063 (>0.05), indicating that the rubber and oil palm income data were homogeneous (the T-test results read were the same variance as assumed). Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the annual income of rubber and oil palm farms in Kenaman Village.

The Subak paddy cluster plays an important role in maintaining sustainable agricultural practices in Bali, especially in Bengkel Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency. The Subak system, as a world cultural heritage, not only manages water resources wisely but also reflects local wisdom that supports sustainability. The purpose of this research is to find out the subak paddy cluster system for the sustainability of n farming. This research was conducted in September 2023 in Bengkel Village, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, Bali, using primary data collected through questionnaires and interviews with eight key informants who are active in the cluster. The method used was purposive sampling, analyzed using descriptive qualitative to understand the phenomenon in Bengkel Village. The results showed that the Subak paddy system cluster can increase paddy productivity to 7 tons per hectare from 5 tons per hectare through more efficient resource management and the application of modern technology. Socially, the existence of the cluster helps strengthen coordination among farmers, encourages closer cooperation, and improves community welfare through available institutional support. Economically, clusters have a positive impact by improving farmers' access to markets, creating more efficient distribution, and strengthening their ability to negotiate ppaddys. The implementation of environmentally friendly practices, such as the use of organic fertilizers, also supports the sustainability of the agricultural ecosystem. The development of innovation, both through product packaging and modern agricultural technology, is an important factor in improving competitiveness. By combining traditional and modern practices, agricultural clusters are able to create a more resilient and sustainable agricultural system.

Abstract

International trade encourages the creation of economic cooperation regionally. Integration of the ASEAN Economic Region by initiating the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) is expected to increase intra-ASEAN trade. However, the contribution of trade between ASEAN countries to ASEAN trade value has experienced stagnant growth and is still dominated by trade between countries outside the ASEAN region. The aim of this research is to determine the factors that influence trade flows between ASEAN countries so that they can encourage the value of trade between ASEAN countries. The data used in this research is panel data consisting of 10 ASEAN member countries for 17 years which is explained using a gravity model approach. The research results show that the GDP variables of exporting countries, population of export destination countries and trade openness have a significant positive influence on the value of trade between ASEAN countries. ASEAN countries need to consider a country's trade openness when formulating international trade policies in order to have a positive impact on increasing trade value.

Abstract

Plumpang Market is the largest village market in the sub-district due to its location near the main road connecting Tuban and Bojonegoro Districts. Over the past decade, online market competition has emerged. This study aims to analyze the differences in average: revenue, costs, and income, as well as to identify which types of vegetables were most affected before and after the introduction of online shops. The research location is the traditional market in Plumpang Village, Plumpang District, Tuban Regency. The analysis method used is quantitative with Paired Sample t test and descriptive quantitative presented in graph. The results show that after the advent of online shops, revenue decreased, costs increased, and income fell. Some vegetables have seen a decline in demand as consumers shop online, such as chilies, long beans, tomatoes, and others. There are also vegetables that have experienced an increase in demand, which is experienced by traditional market vegetable traders who also sell online. The emergence of online shops causes the Plumpang Market to become quiet, and can reduce the revenue and income of vegetable traders. The decline in revenue and income of vegetable traders in Plumpang Market is because some consumers have begun to switch to shopping for vegetables to online shops. Their perception of online shops is more practical and efficient.

Abstract

This research analyses the impact of digitalising the subsidised fertiliser distribution system on the productivity of rice farmers in Malang Regency. The research was conducted on 484 rice farmers from 33 sub-districts during the period of August-November 2024. The research results show that digitalisation does not have a significant direct impact on rice productivity. However, digitalisation has a positive effect on farmer satisfaction and technology accessibility. Farmers' satisfaction and technology accessibility have proven to play a significant mediating role in the relationship between digitalisation and productivity. The success of digitalising subsidised fertiliser distribution depends on increasing farmer satisfaction through responsive services and improved technology accessibility. The research recommends optimising the role of agricultural extension workers and increasing the involvement of farmer groups to maximise the benefits of the digital system.
