Abstract

Russia's Ukrainian conflict is not only a concern internationally but also a problem for the international market due to the threat of a food and energy crisis Moreover, the two countries are the world's largest producers and exporters of oil gas, and wheat. This resulted in a global recession, which was characterized by a decrease in economic activity, increased inflation, and weak economic growth. The threat of economic recession hits various countries because they cannot pay production costs and tend to have layoffs while increasing the national unemployment rate. This paper offers the instrument of Islamic philanthropy (Ziswaf) the means to deal with a global economic recession. Social funds (Ziswaf) are widely used for humane programs, especially for the economically weak, both consumptive and productive. This paper uses a narrative method of quantifiable research with literature obtained from books, newspapers, and other information media. In the paper, evidence of previous research will also be given as evidence that Ziswaf can become a strategy as well as a solution to face the 2023 economic recession. Moreover, if the Ziswaf funds are distributed properly and fairly, undoubtedly the unemployment and poverty rates are easily overcome.

Abstract

Indonesia, as the nation with the highest Muslim population globally, has the potential to benefit from a demographic dividend. Out of the total population of 270 million in Indonesia, generation Z accounts for 27.9%, and millennials make up 25.87%. This means that over 50% of Indonesia's population is in a highly productive age group, making the millennial generation a promising investment group with significant potential in the retail Islamic capital market. Sukuk, an Islamic capital market product, is now being created in Indonesia. This article explores the potential advantages and obstacles associated with implementing sukuk in the digital age, as perceived by the millennial generation. This study employs a qualitative approach through a comprehensive review of relevant literature, focusing on primary sources such as books and journals that specifically address the prospects and obstacles associated with sukuk development. The study's findings indicate a consistent annual increase in the proportion of sukuk, encompassing both corporate and retail sukuk. The potential of sukuk development lies in its ability to serve as an investment instrument that offers chances for both Sharia-compliant and non-sharia-compliant investors. Sukuk's progress intertwines with the millennial generation's principles, making it a robust and adaptive financial instrument that matches social ambitions. Millennials are crucial in shaping Indonesia's economic success by considering Sukuk a significant catalyst.

The objective of this research is to identify optimal methods for suitably imparting character education. The data-gathering methods employed in this research encompass observation, interviews, and documentation. Triangulation serves as a method to assess the accuracy and reliability of the acquired data. Data analysis was conducted via data reduction methodologies, data visualization, and inference drawing. The research findings indicate that character education at the API Al Riyadloh Islamic Boarding School employs two distinct approaches: a teacher-centered approach and a student-centered approach. In a teacher-centered method, the instructor assumes an active position as an authoritative figure who is revered and obeyed by pupils based on the teachings found in the texts being taught. Conversely, a student-centered approach promotes the active participation of students in structured nighttime learning activities. In addition to that, the API Al Riyadloh Islamic Boarding School employs six ways to cultivate the students' character. The tactics encompass habituation, cultivation, acquiring knowledge of positive attributes, experiencing and cherishing positivity, engaging in virtuous activities, emulating positive influences from the environment, and seeking repentance. These tactics aim to cultivate students' familiarity with kindness, comprehension of moral principles, emotional connection to and appreciation for kindness, and active engagement in virtuous deeds
