Abstract

This study aims to elaborate on the moderation of education and the challenges of education in the future. This study uses literature study method. The results of the study show that students are a group that is very vulnerable to being carried away by the flow of religious radicalism. A very young age and considered to be unstable, with a passionate spirit, and a strong desire to enforce religious teachings more comprehensively makes this young group who is within the scope of an educational institution to become the most vulnerable social group to be infiltrated and become the target of radical groups that convey religious understandings and attitudes that are rigid and tend to be superficial. On the other hand, new challenges have begun to emerge, such as advances in science and technology, democratization, and moral decadence that have surrounded human life in this era. So a special strategy is needed to be able to instill moderate Islamic values in students by utilizing teaching and learning activities and parenting patterns that exist in the community or in educational institutions. Because Islamic educational institutions have a moral and social burden to participate in finding the right solution or solution in order to prepare superior human resources who have strong competitiveness for the advancement and harmony of religion, nation and state.

Abstract

In learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) students need a learning model that is appropriate and precise in its characteristics. Learning model is termed by interpreting a broader scope than the learning method or strategy. Therefore, the learning model can be interpreted as planning which is used as a reference or rule in the learning process carried out in the classroom and can be a determinant of learning equipment such as teaching materials, books, curriculum, and so on. So it can be said that the learning model is a directional framework from the educator for the teaching process. This research tries to present an overview of the learning problems of an interactive model in the practice of Islamic education. Islamic education is now faced with various kinds of challenges, demands and needs that have never existed before. So it is not enough with just one learning model, it takes innovation in the renewal of the learning model that is tailored to the system needs, curriculum, human resource competencies, infrastructure, and others. If not, then Islamic education in practice will be increasingly left behind because it becomes a problem of learning models that do not adapt to developments. This research uses a literature study approach, data collection through text studies, then the data obtained is analyzed using content analysis. This method intends to analyze the problems of interactive learning in Islamic education practices. So it becomes a solution if the urgency learning model is made into a good innovation from its weaknesses and strengths. Because the learning process of students will be considered more effective if students after learning can find out something that was not previously known. So, learning achievement will change for the better with a change in new behavior in the level of reason, knowledge, thinking or advancement of physical potential.

Abstract

Curriculum is one of the important components that play a role in the process of implementing education for higher education level. In the implementation there are several obstacles, among others, changes in the curriculum system that require educators to master the new system and learners must master the material according to the target of maximum achievement in learning. From these problems, it is necessary to develop a curriculum that integrates the government-defined curriculum and the internal curriculum of institutions developed autonomously by their respective institutions. The purpose of this research is to produce a product guidebook for the design of the curriculum of pesantren universities and its application to STIABI Riyadlul 'Ulum to realize a quality education. The research method used is Research and Development (R& D) and the hypothesis of this research is the effectiveness of the college curriculum design manual pesantren in the academic process of lectures. The method used consists of interviews, tests, questionnaires and written documentation, in analyzing the data, researchers use the t-test formula. The results showed that the implementation of the curriculum design of pesantren universities in realizing quality education has an influence on curriculum development. This can be seen from the T-Test i.e. the T-Count score (t) in this study (-5,591) is greater than the T-Table (2,064). From the results of the t-test, the researchers concluded that the research hypothesis in this study is acceptable. This is evidenced from the significant value of p-value 0.000 (p < 0.05) meaning that there is an influence given from the design of the curriculum of pesantren universities to realize a quality education.

Abstract

This article discusses the challenges of a multicultural Indonesian society where this diversity is vulnerable to friction and division. As for the reality, there are educational institutions that are able to stem this diversity into a strategy for the formation of human resources who are ready to face the challenges of globalization that know no national borders. Pesantren is a heterogeneous environment in which students come from various races, cultures, social strata of society, economic backgrounds with various individual characters. The kiai, as role models and central figures in the pesantren, need to first turn on the multicultural values in them, which then together with all pesantren residents live the multicultural values in the pesantren. The kiai's example becomes a strategic educational method in forming students who are critical and open to progress and can participate in forming a society that thinks positively about diversity.

Abstract

In essence, education is a basic human need, because humans are born endowed with various potentials that must be developed as provisions for living life as servants and representatives of Allah on earth. But in fact today, instead of being God's representative, humans create various chaos, both in their relationships with fellow humans—violence, brawl, bullying—and their relationship with the universe—garbage, air pollution, damage to marine ecosystems, water pollution, forest fires and so on. And the bad news is, Indonesia is included in the 5 countries with the most population in the world, so the habits of the Indonesian greatly influence world conditions. It seems that the various bad conditions that occur are the result of human actions who do not have good morals, this shows that the ongoing education system has not been able to lead humans to have the awareness that everything in the universe is related to one another, especially connection with God—or better known as Cosmology, or if it is compared to one body, when one limb is injured then the whole body feels the impact. This study aims to: 1) Know how the Islamic Cosmology Perspective of Sachiko Murata; 2) Knowing the concept of Islamic Cosmological Perspective Child Education in the contextualization of Sachiko Murata's thoughts. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, which has the primary source from Sachiko Murata's book The Tao of Islam, while the data collection technique uses literature study, and the data collected is analyzed using processing, categorization and interpretation. The results of this study are (1) God is viewed in two perspectives (duality), tanzih (incommensurability) and tasybih (likeness). To know God, Murata uses the tasybih approach. Islamic cosmology aims to emphasize tauhid (the oneness of Allah), which is depicted in the form of a triangle, encompassing God, nature and man in every corner, so that there is unity and interrelation between all realities; (2) Child education in the perspective of Islamic cosmology according to Sachiko Murata, building divine awareness that God is not only about Himself who is far from the reach of creatures, but we can see God scattered throughout the horizon and soul.

Abstract

Islamic education must give birth to individuals who have positive behavior according to the goals of education itself. One figure of Islamic education thought argued that the purpose of education includes three aspects namely cognitive aspects which include the development of reason, such as intelligence, and power of thought; apective aspects include the development of the heart, such as the development of taste, heart and spirit and psychomotor aspects, namely physical development such as physical health and skills. These three aspects have a very close connection and attachment. By having good, critical and analytical reasoning, students will be able to find values that internalize themselves, plunge into their hearts so as to produce attitudes and behaviors as a manifestation of the knowledge they have acquired. The ability to think critically and analytically requires a high level of reasoning known as Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS).

Abstract

The study of looking for a good educational format in a multicultural country like Indonesia will continue to be interesting, because it will experience a number of challenges to be faced. In addition to the challenges of multicultural education in terms of concepts, challenges will also arise in the perspective of the Siyasah Jurisprudence which is interpreted in the Islamic political order because in Indonesia the majority of the population is Muslim. This scientific work aims to answer the problem formulation of the challenges of multicultural education both in terms of concepts and from the point of view of pandanus fiqh siyasah (Islamic politics). The method used in this research is a descriptive research library with a rationalistic qualitative research analysis. The challenge of multicultural education will be the rejection of a group of Muslims who have not fully understood the meaning of multiculturalism. They think that the concept of Multicultural Education that has been initiated is wrong. In the viewpoint of fiqh siyasah, the challenge of multicultural education is in terms of regulations that have no specific (specific) legal umbrella governing the concept of multicultural education oriented to Maqoshidu As-Syari'ah.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country full of diversity, with a large population, rich in natural resources, a vast archipelago, and diversity in language and culture. Indonesia has potential as a developing country, but it also has problems that hinder it. One of Indonesia's potentials is that it is a country that has thousands of islands that are plural in nature when viewed from the diversity of religions, human races, tribes living in an area, human creations in the form of cultural customs and arts. Several things, such as the large number of differences, tend to be prone to conflicts and divisions that occur between citizens. In Indonesia, there are about six religions that are officially recognized and recorded and there are local beliefs that are still held by people in various regions. The largest number of adherents of religion in Indonesia is Islam with an estimated number of more than 229 million adherents which, if presented, means that 13% of the world's Muslim adherents are found in Indonesia. The diversity of religious communities that exist in Indonesia with the number of adherents of the Islamic religion which is numerically more (the majority) is often one of the causes of conflicts with religious backgrounds that occur in Indonesia. There are challenges that pose a fundamental threat to a democratic and multicultural country, namely discrimination followed by hatred that arises due to differences in a group (sectarianism). This form of sectarian behavior is characterized by an anti-tolerant attitude towards groups or individuals who are considered to have different views. Several incidents that have occurred in Indonesia, such as: mass actions, destruction of places of worship, clashes between religious communities, issues related to SARA, acts of violence against other religious sects, and other incidents which of course have something to do with anti-tolerance. The emergence of regional regulations (Perda) in several regions which are often similar to those contained in certain religious laws, will often cause problems for countries such as Indonesia which is multicultural and democratic, because Indonesia is not formed from one group, not formed from one religion, one race and one. ethnicity alone, but is formed from various ethnic groups, religions, races and between groups. Not only because the regional regulation is not in accordance with the constitutional hierarchy, but also because the regional regulation is very superficial and not substantial.

Abstract

Education is an activity that every human being must engage in in order to minimize the sense of ignorance that exists in every human being and to provide a means of living in the world. With knowledge, we can learn a variety of things that will lead us to a time when we know more. The education process is not just to do the process of seeking knowledge, but the need for something that supports the development of educational learning itself, one of which is something that contributes to the development of learning, especially in Islamic education learning. This intends to look for any factors that support the development strategy of educational learning. Sometimes educators, teachers, or lecturers assume that the factors that inhibit learning come from learners, even though it is not entirely blamed on learners, but many factors that really contribute to helping learners in the implementation of learning can develop, both in terms of the delivery of science or knowledge, materials, and learning strategies themselves. The findings of this study show that a number of internal and external factors influence the growth of Islamic education learning, including education contributing to community intelligence, the influence of science and technology, environmental factors, boarding school institutions, learning strategies, and also professional educator factors can affect the development of education.
