Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement in student learning outcomes by using the Search, Solve, Create, and Share learning model in the Basic Electricity subject in class X TITL 2 at SMK Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh. The minimum student completion criteria (KKM) score has not been achieved due to learning factors that are still teacher-centered or conventional, thus affecting the value of student learning outcomes in the cognitive aspect. This research uses experimental research with a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest post-test design. The object of this research is a Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) based learning model on student learning outcomes in Basic Electricity subjects. The subjects of this research were class The instrument used in this research was a student test. Based on the results obtained, the average posttest score of students has exceeded the minimum completeness requirement. Therefore, applying a Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) based learning model in the Basic Electricity subject is effective because it improves student learning outcomes with an average N-Gain Score in the high category. The percentage of classical completeness scores obtained is also high and exceeds the minimum class completeness value that has been determined. Abstract

Education plays an important role in the overall development of individual potential, as stipulated in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. At the Vocational High School (SMK) level, education is oriented towards developing students' professional competencies following their fields. One of the subjects at SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh, especially in the Electrical Power Installation Engineering department, is Electric Motor Installation which involves theory and practice. However, observations show that learning tends to be passive, so students lack creativity and do not understand the material. This research aims to overcome these problems by applying the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. PjBL is an approach that involves students in designing and completing real projects, which aims to improve critical thinking skills, creativity, and collaboration. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach with a type of pre-experimental research, the pre-experimental research design used is One Shot Case Study. This design involves one group where the practicum value before the application of the Project-Based Learning model (O1), given treatment (X), and the practicum value after the application of the Project-Based Learning model (O2). The subjects of this study were students of class XI TITL 2 SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh in the 2024/2025 academic year

Abstract

Students in Vocational High Schools have low learning motivation when carrying out learning activities. This can happen because the way the material is delivered and the way the learning evaluation is carried out by the teacher tends to be monotonous and less creative so students feel bored, lazy, and less interested during the learning process. This causes student learning outcomes to be low. In the subject of Electric Motor Installation, there are many explanations of the material that are a little complicated for students to understand. Implementing the assistance of learning videos in the Project-Based Learning learning model, is considered quite effective in rekindling the enthusiasm for learning possessed by students. The objective to be achieved in this study is to find out the impact of implementing the Project-Based Learning model with the help of learning videos on the subject of Electric Motor Installation. The type of research used in this study is experimental research with a pre-experimental design type with a special design form, namely one group pretest-posttest. This research design is used to measure changes in students' understanding or learning outcomes before and after the application of the Project-Based Learning method assisted by learning videos. Based on the research that has been done, it was found that the application of the Project-Based Learning method assisted by learning videos has a positive impact on students' understanding and learning outcomes during the learning process in the Electric Motor Installation subject.
