Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing communication strategies implemented by local electronic retailers in marketing their products to consumers. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach to obtain an in-depth understanding of communication practices at the grassroots business level. Data were collected through interviews with business owners and consumers, direct observation of sales activities, and documentation related to promotional practices. The research was conducted at Plaza Gedung 2 in East Lombok Regency, which represents a typical local electronic retail business environment. The results show that marketing communication strategies are primarily implemented through direct and face-to-face interactions with consumers. Retailers emphasize personalized delivery of product information, including explanations of product features, usage, pricing, and after-sales services. In addition, simple promotional media such as verbal promotions and informal recommendations are used and adapted to the characteristics, needs, and purchasing power of consumers. These strategies play an important role in building consumer understanding, trust, and purchasing confidence. However, the communication efforts are generally not structured within formal or documented marketing plans. Overall, the findings indicate that marketing communication in local electronic retailers is practical, adaptive, and highly dependent on the interpersonal communication skills and experience of business actors in engaging with consumers

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of information and communication technology (ICT) utilization in network service systems at a government research institution, with a qualitative study focused on the Kurnaen Sumadiharga Science Area, BRIN. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, field observations, and official document analysis to explore ICT utilization practices, workflow processes, and challenges encountered during implementation. The findings indicate that ICT use has improved service workflow efficiency, facilitated internal information access, and accelerated inter-unit coordination. However, its effectiveness is not yet fully optimal due to limitations in human resource capacity, incomplete integration of service systems, and continued reliance on manual procedures in certain processes. These results suggest that ICT effectiveness is not only determined by the availability of technological infrastructure but also by organizational readiness, work culture, and effective service governance. This study emphasizes the importance of an institutional and managerial approach in assessing the role of ICT to enhance performance and service delivery in public research institutions.

Abstract

TThis study aims to cluster laptop price data using the K-Means algorithm to obtain a more structured and interpretable price segmentation. The data used in this study consist of laptop price data that have undergone a preprocessing stage, including data cleaning, data transformation, and data normalization to ensure optimal data quality. The determination of the optimal number of clusters was conducted using the Elbow Method by analyzing the Within Cluster Sum of Squares (WCSS) values, which indicated that the optimal number of clusters is k = 3. Subsequently, the K-Means algorithm was applied to group the laptop price data into three clusters based on price characteristics. The clustering results reveal three main groups, namely low-price, mid-price, and high-price laptop clusters. This segmentation provides a clear overview of the laptop market conditions and highlights the differences in price ranges among the clusters. The results demonstrate that the K-Means algorithm is able to cluster laptop price data effectively and consistently. The resulting segmentation can be utilized as a basis for decision-making for consumers as well as business stakeholders in developing marketing strategies and determining appropriate laptop pricing

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the gaps and policy directions for strengthening Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Majene Regency from the perspective of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Theory (Stam, 2015). This theoretical approach emphasizes that entrepreneurial success is not only determined by individual entrepreneurs, but also by the systemic interaction between capital, market access, knowledge, talent, social networks, local culture, and institutional and infrastructure support. The study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through literature studies, regional policy documentation, reports from supporting institutions, and triangulation of media data and the latest scientific journals. The results of the study indicate that the MSME entrepreneurial ecosystem in Majene is in the early stages of formation, with various government and institutional interventions such as digital training, Business Development Services programs, and facilitation of export market access through Rumah BUMN. However, significant gaps are still found in aspects of digital access, limited capital and talent, and weak networks between entrepreneurs. Institutional support and physical infrastructure have begun to be built, but have not been integrated into holistic and sustainable MSME development policies. Therefore, a regional policy formulation that is data-based, participatory, and integrated between sectors is needed to strengthen the local entrepreneurial ecosystem in an inclusive manner.

Abstract

Cutting metals, such as carbon steel, is a stage of engineering and repairing casing pipes or casings made of carbon steel material in accordance with the cut marks that have been set in the marking process. For pipe cutting or welding preparation tasks related to maintenance or new construction, there are basically two different methods used. The first is hot cutting by hand grinding, and the second is a portable unit popularly known as cold cutting that produces weld-ready surfaces. Low Clearance Split Frame (LCSF) is a portable unit used as cold cutting that produces weld-ready surfaces, where cutting occurs due to an air pressure reaction from the water compressor with a portable unit and carbon steel. Low Clearance Split Frame (LCSF) is used manually without going through a heating process, where the unit is mounted around the outer diameter of the case in parallel or tucked into an open-end pipe, and is designed to apply square and precision cuts. The unit requires little maintenance in the form of lubrication, fast operating time and no hot work. For the cutting work here, the material used is a carbon steel casing. In the cutting work of carbon steel casings here, Low Clearance Split Frame (LCSF) is used, where the obstacles found are found in the cutting blade or called the parting blade that is dull, so that sometimes the results of the cutting work become inefficient, such as the surface of the casing that is not smooth and the time to finish the work. This causes the process of sharpening or replacing the parting blade, until the machine can operate optimally. As of this writing, it has been designed for cutting carbon steel casings using Low Clearance Split Frame (LCSF) which aims to produce straight, flat and smooth cuts of carbon steel casings and can produce a 20" outer diameter casing cut with a cutting time of < 60 minutes, a cutting speed on a surface of 60 ft/min (30 cm/sec), and a cut tolerance of + 3 mm

Abstract

Importers and distributors of swimming pool chemicals face significant inventory challenges due to highly volatile and unpredictable demand. This study develops a responsive inventory management strategy by integrating multiple regression analysis with Monte Carlo simulation. Monthly sales data (January-December 2024) for three main products (TCCA Powder, Granular, and Tablet) were analyzed. Descriptive statistics revealed extreme demand volatility, with standard deviations exceeding means for all products. While regression models identified significant influences of previous demand, seasonality, and promotions (R² = 0.58-0.78), their forecasting accuracy was poor, as indicated by high Mean Absolute Percentage Error values (59.40%-147.86%). This limitation justified the shift to a probabilistic approach. Monte Carlo simulation using empirical distributions generated wide demand ranges (e.g., 250-22,000 kg for TCCA Granular), enabling the development of scenario-based inventory policies. The study concludes that the integrated regression-simulation framework provides a more realistic foundation for inventory decision-making than deterministic methods alone, particularly under high uncertainty. The primary contribution lies in positioning Monte Carlo simulation primarily as a decision-support tool rather than a forecasting technique, offering companies a practical method to establish dynamic safety stock levels and improve market responsiveness
